Neutral ending isn't canon to IVA though. Flynn choses neutral, but the route is interrupted before it gets anywhere.

Read a lot of the backstory and it seems really lackluster and not very smt.
THE GREAT WILL is actually a really cool guy and yhvh is just an evil rogue entity and the law and chaos endings of iv were both tricks by yhvh.

Not that user, but there are only 4 original dungeons in the game, the others all reuse areas from SMTIV. This game also has less demons than SMTIV, since they removed all guest designed demons (keeping only Kaneko's) and didn't add enough new demons or redesigns of SMTIV demons back to compensate.

There's also only one new Tokyo district area. The map has been redone for easier navigation though.

SMT4 final take place during SMT4 and the last half of SMT4 is pretty much not cannon.

I stopped playing IV when I got stuck in law route because I killed bigface in chaos world. I was assraping everyone with concentrate megidolans while my demons spammed buffs, debuffs and shields making impossible to die.

Does it get harder later? If not, can you just spoil really quickly what I need to know to play apocalypse?

I like to think that with law and chaos you get absolution, should you decide they're respectively what you believe in, at the cost of accommodating those not in line with the thought.' Not even one's own friends, where as you can see, sacrifice in the name of their alignment is nothing to them.

Neutral, I think, is all about accommodating a bit of everything at the cost of absolution. You can be progressive and be friends and/or enemies with anyone, without any real rock of ideology to cling to. I still get what you mean though. I think most of these games are great presenting this sort of divide.

good that you played SJ, I think that's one of the better ones illustrating the point. I think Nocturne is also a great game that makes you feel like "I wish I could ride this out with my friends, but because of the literal powers that be, it can't happen". In most endings at least

No. There were two Chaos endings, a low Chaos and a high Chaos one, and the low Chaos one where you eventually set out to dethrone God left humanity fairly independent or at least not completely at the demons' mercy.

I did like the Messiah ending where you convinced the angels not to immediately execute all criminals. That one was acceptable too.

For some reason some people get triggered by those terms.

The most accepted ones are "bonds and massacre".

The correct terms are "sheeple and edge".
