I thought they were gonna half-ass it, but it really is as brilliant as the anime itself.
I thought they were gonna half-ass it, but it really is as brilliant as the anime itself
>but it really is as brilliant as the anime itself.
But the anime was utter shit. Are you saying the game is bad as well?
It has an initial spark but completely fails to deliver anything other than generic anime?
>utter shit
Right. I see you have ridiculous standards. Hell, even better, you're just another AoT hater. Stop it, that shit isn't cool anymore. Nobody's gonna cheer you on. It's widely accepted that Attack on Titan is a great anime.
>It's widely accepted that Attack on Titan is a great anime.
Yes. By the same people who believe Naruto is the second coming of Christ
>any anime ever
>utter shit
pick both, and stop being redundant
not sure if you're going for a (you) or if you're actually a genuine redditor
(You)
...
Naruto was fine until a certain point, even Naruto fans think so.
Entry level anime is not bad, it's just not pandering to our tastes
>but it really is as brilliant as the anime itself
So it's shit? good to know.
>people STILL dont have the attention span necessary to read manga and keep watching shitty animes with half the content of the manga
>series that starts out creative and original turns into generic powerlevel garbage
ebrytim
I actually agree, it's one of the best licensed games out there up there with the Arkham games in their ability to capture the essence of the source material. usually Omega Force just reskins dynasty warriors games but in this case they actually perfectly captured the combat from the show. the graphics even looks pretty polished for what it is. I honestly didn't expect it to be this good.
This. I met a guy dressed as rabac from akame ga kill once, fantastic costume. But I lost respect for him when he said only watched the anime, like dude you don't even realize your favorite character turned into an uber badass in the manga.
I became a hipster nerd about a half decade back, I was watching higurashi, when I realized the manga had way more content than the anime. Switched and never looked back
Attack on Titan is shit
AoT is fucking shit
Don't like the series but man the game is a ton of fun.
>Autolock
Nah
It's (widely accepted that it's) very generic
>I read the manga
>it's a "retard believes manga is always superior to anime" episode
Stop.
B-but there's no color or music!
>I became a hipster nerd about a half decade back, I was watching higurashi, when I realized the manga had way more content than the anime. Switched and never looked back
Same. Since I started reading manga I just cant watch anime anymore. And not only for elitist reasons, its more comfortable as well. You can read it on your own pace and dont have to be focused on it or pause all the time. Also Anime is mostly moe/waifu trash. And the few good ones are based on mangas, so might as well read them.
>he watched it passed the point of aryan dying but then immediately becoming an aotan
Why would you do this? Everything was completely undercut at that point.
This.
They are both trash.
>see an anime
>it's based on a manga
>read manga because want more
>the manga is way better
>stop watching the anime
It literally is every single time.
No it isn't, especially when the anime comes first.
Rarely there's little to no difference, but retards like you still insist that one is superior.
Get a load of this guy
Add on to that:
>Manga moves at a much faster pace
>Looks great when important scenes call for it
>Art is consistent
>Usually has scenes that weren't omitted or censored from the adaption
I was very surprised how fast things goes when you read series instead of watching them.
It was very promising early on, first 6-7 episodes were great. Then it slowly starts getting worse, the manga completely falls apart, I cant even remember when exactly did I drop it or what the fuck was going on
Gintama
Ken's Rage was fantastic too...sequel not so much.
>especially when the anime comes first
>it's based on a manga
c'mon, son.
So you admit that not all manga is better than the anime counterpart? Great.
>people STILL watch anime in 2016
grow up, kiddos
do you mean that the anime is better than the manga?if so,you're right [/spoiler[
>Rarely there's little to no difference, but retards like you still insist that one is superior.
Yeah, its not like Tokyo Ghoul was missing like 50% of the story. Or Akama ga Kill was completly butchered and altered. Ironically these are the only two animes I tried because I liked the manga and both seem to be utter trash. At least SNK seems to be somewhat on par with the Manga.
oh really? never played it
>do you mean that the anime is better than the manga?
Yes
So you agree you lack the mental capacity to read and comprehend posts on Sup Forums? Great.
>Tokyo Ghoul
>Akame ga Kill
Please refer to global rule #2.
hey you pathetic underage retards, see
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll
>ALL manga is better than anime
>w-well except when it doesn't come first
See? You're retarded. Even if you were upfront and said that first, you'd still be wrong.
This is why you're retarded, literally the first two lines of that guy's post
>>see an anime
>>it's based on a manga
>as the anime itself.
So
-low budget
-dropping visual quality as it goes along
-shitty still animations due to no budget
-all over pacing and directing
-looks like something made 15 years earlier
?
If so then fuck me, its exactly what i expect from it.
Changing goal posts is frowned upon.
>tfw really liked the first episodes and the idea of humans defeating giant monster with their wits and mechanics alone
>then the main character turns into a titan
dropped so fast
I'm pretty sure the author started making shit up and changing everything when his series got more popular.
Except the original post didn't mention anything about this applying to literally every single manga and his followup post clarified that this was referring to anime based on manga?
Are you me?
I didnt drop it, stayed on, but it never exactly lived up to its potential.
I dropped when the manga update rate dropped so bad i forgot what was going on.
This. Same with Seraph of the End
>Except the original post didn't mention anything about this applying to literally every single manga
>animes
Gee, it's almost like he was referring to more than one.
>his followup post clarified that this was referring to anime based on manga
Hence the goalposts moving.
And that's still wrong.
How is the PC port? Did KT finally get their shit together?
Exactly, the author originally said that all the characters where to die off, but then changed his mind when he saw how popular the series was getting.
>people on Sup Forums actually like Memetac on memetan
god damn Sup Forums should just change it's name to /no/- normies
> It's widely accepted that Attack on Titan is a great anime.
By whom?
Most people?
Most people who donĀ“t know enough diverse anime to be able to differentiate what is actually good, and what is merely okay?
Argumentum ad popolum.
Take all the action sequences out of the series and you have a bad story with one-dimensional characters in a somewhat compelling but badly fleshed out world.
>thought idea of humans fighting impossible odds against an enemy they know nothing about was a cool idea
>then Eren was Titans
>then they took like 4 episodes to move a rock
>then bitchy blonde girl was Titans
>ended up dropping it around the time they tried capturing bitchy blonde Titan
>4 years later everybody was Titans
>i hate popular things

AoT is the first anime I've ever watched, and only because I got a new qt asian gf who wanted to watch it with me. I think it's solid
She wants to watch death note afterwards, is it good? Should I bother or should I just nip this animu shit in the bud so she never expects me to watch it again
>"go eat shit 10 million flys can't be wrong" the post Kill your self you fucking normie shitter
>Sup Forums will shit on somewhat original shows even though they're not that great but will gladly watch every season's high school slice of life/harem
The game looks like fun though
>Two AoT:WoF thread
What the fuck is going on?
Shills
Haven't watched it,but from what i've heard the ending sucked. The first few episodes are excellent though
>they actually perfectly captured the combat from the show.
>Titans are basically defenseless against you
>cutting off their limbs for crafting components
>no sense of danger or dread in combat
>being on the groung is not dangerous at all
>most attacks to the neck are kills, and they are not difficult at all
>even fucking armin can kill them by the truckload
are you sure your played/watched SnK/AoT?
>Gee, it's almost like he was referring to more than one.
Pluralizing =/= mass generalization.
>Hence the goalposts moving.
No, the goalposts weren't moved, as his argument never shifted, you just seem to be illiterate and you cannot distinguish the nuance between saying some anime are shit and saying all anime are shit.
Let me break this down for you.
>>people STILL dont have the attention span necessary to read manga and keep watching shitty animes with half the content of the manga
>and keep watching shitty animes with half the content of the manga
>and keep watching shitty animes
Just because he referred to the fact that there are multiple shit anime does not mean that he is saying everyone anime is shit. The very structure of his sentence is hard to make that statement with, so I'd need to rearrange it to something like:
>people are STILL watching anime when the manga is better in every case
Note the "in every case," a generalization that the original sentence does not include, but that you seem to think it does when the meaning of the original is pretty clear to anyone who can actually speak the fucking language.
yeah death note is good
But Naruto IS the second coming of the Christ of his universe.
Are you like... 16?
Death note is great until the end, which is complete tripe. It's definitely worth watching though.
I dont want you guys to argue because of me, this guy is right. I never said (and meant) ALL anime are shit, but most are.
>saying everyone anime is shit
saying every anime is shit, rather
The first half is.
The second half is god aweful, and makes it clear that the author has no fucking idea how to write an intelligent character aside from, "take crazy amazing result and piece process together backwards".
It's more like a standard beatemup, just with big crowds.
Also, IT HAS A DUB.
But Christ is overrated. and besides, sequels are always shit, so why does anyone want a second coming?
>No, the goalposts weren't moved, as his argument never shifted
Yes they were.
>the nuance between saying some anime are shit and saying all anime are shit.
We're obviously only talking about anime that have a manga counterpart.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter what you're trying to say. You're still wrong for asserting that the manga will always be better than the anime counterpart.
>Sup Forums will shit on somewhat original shows even though they're not that great but will gladly watch every season's high school slice of life/harem
exactly. They call our tastes shit and yet they worship even worse anime
Looks like shit just like the anime
>it really is as brilliant as the anime itself.
so it's shit?
>I was watching higurashi, when I realized the manga had way more content than the anime
This is bait, right?
>everybody was Titans
Explain
is it worth it to do the tedious side missions to get the new story missions?
Did they reveal what is in the basement?
apparently not yet
...
After half a year, still not at the basement.
>people on Sup Forums actually think that a kilogram of steel doesn't weigh more than a kilogram of feathers
oh no
they power rangers now
i read up until they started introducing all the other titan people.
it was right when monkey trouble showed up.
it just lost the appeal the initial premise hooked you on when everything comes down to a titan transformation saving your ass
you do realize that is a parody panel and not official
But like...how? Is everyone just born a Titsn but ignorant of it or something? Also is Armin a fucking midget Titan? That thing looks hysterical
what
no
and it says enough
Let's use some examples.
- The pacing is complete shit. You have ultra decompressed moments that amount to nothing. You even have whole storylines that amount to nothing.
Case in point: The "lets go outside the wall to get to MC's basement." First you get the whole "the ral plan is to capture a titan!". Ok... I can roll with it. But then you spend whole episodes on the backstory of a character that gets killed the first 5 minutes of the following episode. And the whole "MC, you shouldn't transform into a titan. That is wasting all this planning and loss of life". Guess what? Everybody dies and has to transform. Then gets beaten like a pussy. Then they capture the Titan just to have it escape. It's half a dozen episodes where a shitton of character I barely know die, and it doesn't advance the story in any way because nobody achieves anything. In fact, that's the main problem! Nobody achieves anything in this story!
- The MC transforms into a Titan. Here is a story about a struggle against an almost undefeatable enemy. The MC in a story should have a distinguishing charateristic. But let's give him the "mary sue'iest" ability ever. It's like having a story in the napoleonic invasions and giving the MC a rocket launcher.
- The manga and the mangaka. The mangaka is a kid that can barely draw. His writing is shit. Although the concept of the story is good, I don't trust the kid to be able to carry it on. It will lead to dissapointment and anger.
Fuck AoT, Azumanga Daiou musou when?
>connie doesnt even transform
>he just gets naked
top kek
Why is it always biting your thumb
10/10 would shell out shekels for
