Most of Mika's fun comes from her crazy Nadeshiko shenanigans and how easily frustrated you can get your opponent. I agree that passion press hk into ex peach to throw or meaty can get samey but Cammy is so fucking boring in this game. She lost all of her unblockable shenanigans from 4 in place of literally nothing to make her interesting.

That was the reason I quit playing her. It's just too easy. I don't even feel like I'm the one getting people angry, it's the Mika flowchart doing so.

It's much more satisying playing a character like Guile and gradually getting them more angry as you counter their approaches than getting someone mad off an automatic corner carry with ex peach into forward HP or brimstone. It's so easy that the character practically plays itself.

I guess you're right. I don't really play Mika much anymore anyway, I'm playing Balrog and Guile at the moment. I know people hate what they did to them in 5 but I honestly think it's their most fun iterations by far.

Guile just feels like a confused character in this game, and people's opinions about him are just as all over the place. Some say he's high tier, some say he's bottom 5.

You can't dedicate to zoning as well as in 4 but I'd say he's more balanced with his improved combo game and the game as a whole being more offensive. He's definitely more interesting this time around.

Why is there so much hostility towards aggressive Guile? Guile was one of the original combo monsters due to his great normals and quick specials.

SFV model rips somehow almost never look as good as the source material either.

yeah, this is the closest to WW Guile he's ever been. Trying to play Zoning Guile is really rough in SFV though. You need to go in more.

I think most of the hate comes from either the fact that old Guile players feel alienated with this iteration of the character or that people are tired of every character being retooled to be offensive. The roster as a whole feels much more streamlined than a game like 4 where you had a very broad range of playstyles to select from and play against.
