APB was a few polish and stabilization patches away from being amazing before it shut down. It could have been so good if Realtime Worlds hadn't gone bankrupt. They clearly had to release it before it was ready because of money problems, but the bones of a fucking great game were there underneath all the bugs and server issues.
APB Reloaded isn't the same. There's nothing else out there like it, and I still have the itch to play it.

Both teams got to play both sides so I never really paid any mind to balance but vampires being a bit stronger made sense simply because it meant getting a tiny lead then just chilling on rofftops was a bad idea because next round they could pound your ass for it.
Still though, playing hunters was fun, there's something just raw thrilling about being the ones that don't start the fight but do finish it. And I mean it when I loved those moments where you ran down someone before they could get back to a rooftop.
