Not owning a vita

>not owning a vita

explain this bullshit.

I like videogames not paperweights.

Fuck off NeoGAF.

Enjoying Ys and next week is World of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Builders.

>there are people that don't own all the handhelds

Seriously, why these fuckin threads all the time? Why do you care about whether or not people have it? Maybe you are trying very hard to justify your recent purchase of one to mask the buyers remorse you've got deep in your soul.

>owning a vita

I don't wanna waste my time on weeb shit anime ass games, sorry.

>MeiQ and Valkyrie Drive just a little over a week away
>Still no reasoning why Amazon shows VD coming in October while Rice Digital still has the 16th listed

>World of FF and DQB
Gonna go PS4 for those myself.

>not owning everything except an Xbone

>tfw trying to sell all my vita games
>nobody wants them

Vitamin 1.2 where
>fl0w: I don't have motivation
Yea your motivation disappeared as soon as your paypal got suspended you fucking kraut

The biggest problem that I have with the Vita is the proprietary storage format.

It seems to be impossible, but the biggest thing that would sway me toward kinda wanting a Vita is if they somehow achieved a microsd adapter for it.

I've always been interested in getting one but I could never pull the trigger. What's the best original game for it?

>Gonna go PS4 for those myself.
I would to if I had a PS4. But the only real exclusive I personally care about on PS4 is Last Guardian which isn't enough for me to get one.

Because I own a PS TV.

I'm waiting anxiously for mine, it's a used 1000

i'm not a weeb

Most worthwhile Vita games are on PC or PS4. Why WOULD I buy a Vita? Besides, Sony is making a new handheld.

Bulky, bad battery life.

Same reason I carried around chinkshit instead of my PSP (well the battery lie at least started out good on the PSP).

Leave Sup Forums then.

The only good games on it are Neptunia and you can get it on steam

3ds master race

I don't like anime games

I own one and it's a FF7-9 machine that I've played through P4G on once

>all these people that don't realise you can now pirate vita games

You literally can't buy one new in store in my country.

>implying there's anything worth pirating

...

I have a 3.60 Vita 1000 but my charger cable got frayed and the replacement cables are sold out everywhere. I'm thinking about getting a PSV2000 and selling the 1000 to a stupid hacker wannabe.

>Oculus Rift

No thanks, I'll spend a bit more and get a Vive.

>tfw when 3.61

>bad battery life
What? Vita has incredible battery life.

funny how all those weebs are ignoring you on purpose

I bought one now that I can pirate.

I do not enjoy anime video games

There hasn't been a single good game on that thing. I feel like I literally paid to watch Nintendo destroy my childhood.

No KH, No EO, No Layton, No Monster Hunter, No SMT, No a real DQ, no Bravely Default, No Harvest Moon (Story of Season), no Inazuma Eleven, no Persona Q, etc, etc, etc

Stop being a pleb maybe.

Can you pirate PS1/PSP vidya yet?

>All those shit games

What games do you like? Because 3DS and Vita has the only really good games (Wii U too but no one likes talking about it).

But I do, playing God Eater Resurrection

Whaaat? A brand new Vita can last a good 7-10 hours of gaming. That's far from bad. Maybe yours was faulty.

not via HENkaku

you dont have amazon? or ebay? what shithole do you live in?

>not liking/owning both
Absolutely horrifying.

do you have the gif with the girl throwing the vita?

>Saga, Atelier, LoH, Danganronpa, God Eater Soul Sacrifice, Surge, FF, Odin Sphere, SRW, Disgaea

But it does.

>put vita in sleep mode
>forget about it for a couple of days
>still fully charged

Pretty nice battery indeed. Meanwhile my 3DS XL loses 2 bars in a day of sleep mode. Probably because of all the streetpasses and wifi being on all the time.

There aren't enough games on it that interest me enough to justify the price.

Even in terms of hacking, psp and emulation purposes are moot to me because I own a PSP, a hacked Wii and quite a few of the consoles I'd want to emulate.

Probably Gravity Rush, although that got a remaster for PS4

If I'm going to buy a legacy console I want one with games that haven't been ported to other consoles in a better way.

Ohio. Can't walk into a store and buy one now.

>put henaku on Vita TV
>Can't put games on it
>FTP will take 8 hours, connection drops after like 3 minutes

Life is unfair

Vita has great battery life m9
Also, i'd rather have something bulky everyday instead of hunching down to see anything on a tiny screen

well, you can play this games on ps3, psp or pc, really you can't need a vita.

World of FF, Summon Night, Net High, Toukiden, Tokyo Xanadu, I am Setsuna, Exist Archive

???

Why is it a bad thing that Vita games looks good enough to be ported on home consoles and PCs as opposed to 3DS games?

Is there a good game that I can only play on the Vita?

The same reason I don't own a PS3, PS4, nGage or Ouya.

No games.

Wipeout 2048

Everything on the 3DS felt subpar. Zelda Worlds and SMT4 were the only things that were kind of okay. I could probably include Etrian Odyssey on that list as well, but the dungeon crawlers on Vita are just way, way, way better even if they are really weebish. Nintendo has casualized the fuck out of everything they haven't already turned into complete shovelware and the 3DS itself is a really subpar piece of hardware.

On Vita I liked Gravity Rush, Dragon's Crown, La Mulana EX, all the Disgaea games, Odinsphere, Soul Sacrifice Delta, Muramasa Rebirth, Dungeon Travelers 2, plus all the multiplats and emulated stuff is higher quality than the 3DS.

First post best post

Then why did it sell like shit? Are you mad people are able to pirate games on the Vita now?

I have one but I wouldnt recommend it.

Those are like a month away what are you talking about

Hey it's this fella again. I like you, you're pretty helpful in these handheld threads.

I'm planning to buy a 3DS at the end of September, but really? You can't force flight mode like Vita? Or did you just simply forgot to turn off the wifi at the time?

People don't want console games on the go, they want mobile games on the go.

Freedom wars
Muramasa DLC is good
DT2
Demons gaze
Moero chronicle if crystal never releases
Soul Sacrifice Delta
Ex Vs force
IA/VT
otomes games

wanna buy it mainly for Moonlight

Different user, but the Vita sold like shit because
>expensive memory cards
>PSP was very popular among emulatorfags so they didn't want to spend so much on another device
>System-sellers had poor reception (e.g. Black Ops Declassified, Uncharted Golden Abyss) or they were just HD collections that you could also get on PS3 (e.g. MGS, God of War)

It's Good but then you don't need a Vita to play, Vita have a great games, but you don't need get one to enjoy

>Then why did it sell like shit?
Because no one gives a shit about real video games any more. The industry caters to the casual audience now. It's all quest markers and dopamine hits now.
>Are you mad people are able to pirate games on the Vita now?
Not really. It had pretty much run its course anyways. If anything I'm just enjoying being able to emulate stuff on it.

You can turn the wifi on/off from the outside of the handheld, I just don't because doing so disables streetpass features and when I go out and forget to turn it back on, I blow any potential passes I could have gotten.

Freedom Wars looks like Kancolle with both boys and girls. Kinda interesting.

>Vita
>bad battery life.
>bulky

I see.

I still don't fully understand street pass, but I'll just google it later on. Sounds like Internet Points™ though

It's pretty fun desu.
>Fast combat
>Thorns are fun to use
>Amazing visuals for a Vita game.
>10/10 premise and worldbuilding
>Great OST
>Natalia is a beaut
The problems are
>Limited enemy and mission variety
>Targeting reticule sometimes misbehave when there are multiple enemies
>A few harsh difficulty spikes when playing with AI teammates

It's a hunting game. The main method of traveling is the thorn which acts as a grappling hook. It's very fun to play high level missions with people.

>spoiler
Games have a setting that when you pass other 3DS users (or hot spots where others have passed) you share game data with each other.

Mii Plaza is a built in game that you'll first encounter this, there is a collectable series of puzzles and a rogue-like game (default, there are more games you can buy). In the puzzle game you'll get to choose 1 puzzle piece per player you pass to complete them and in the other your passes are soldiers you'll use to throw at enemies to rescue your Mii through a series of little rooms.

Games with street passes have many different uses, like in FE you can battle their teams/forts, Mario 3D Land you get their best times on completed stages, Fantasy Life you can get them as partners, etc.

i bought a Vita when it first came out but now I only keep it around to play nip games.

>I still don't fully understand street pass
When you pass a fellow autistic 12 year old on the street you collect his avatar, which you can then use to play autistic minigames alone when you get home.

I'm not into mobile gaming

>mod my vita
>still zero fun to be had because of the storage fuckup
Sony somehow managed to take all the fun out of piracy.

But I do own one, now answer my question OP.

I got mine for £70 preowned off Ebay. It's hard to regret that.

Oh, I own a fucking Vita.

Single worst console I've ever had, I tell ya what.

£65 with a free 8GB memory card. Hell yes.

I know it's a glorified jrpg and vn machine but I like it.

I can't afford one

At launch, you weren't out the door playing a Vita game without at least $60 in extras (4GB memory card and game.) add tax and you're talking at least $330. Add more for an acceptable amount of storage or the 3G model. Don't forget that anyone's UMD collection wouldn't work.

At the same point in time, a 3DS with a game would be $225 after tax, and could also play old DS games (even the flashcarts in early firmware.)

Fast forward to Holiday 2012 and Amazon gets a sweet $180 bundle (tax free) with Memory Card and Game on Black Friday. No other store got the deal and it signaled a price drop could be inbound. The consoles sit because people wait for a price drop.

2013
Nintendo announces Pokemon 3DS
AT&T dumps their 3G Vita stock for $200 and rumors go around a 4G model is inbound.
PS4 is announced
Finally the price drop comes and there is a cheaper model announced. The stock that has been sitting since the previous year now got a $50-$100 discount, pissing off the retail outlets.
2014
As PSP is discontinued, weeb games are forced to PS Vita and it's sales are hidden in an "Others" category while PS4 is front and center on financial reports. Parts are written off as a loss.
PSV Stock goes low for most retail outlets
PSTV Announced
2015
Vita removed from playstation.com front page as a featured system
Executives start calling it a "Legacy Product"
2016
PSTV Discontinued
All stores have stopped selling Vita save 3rd party sellers on Amazon

>not owning both

weeb

not hacking your 3ds

How's persona q?

Like a worse Etrian Odyssey.

>calling somebody a weeb on Sup Forums

Okay that clears things up. Though I'm currently only planning to play SMT4 + 4 Apoc. + Soul Hackers and 7th Dragon III on my 3DS when I buy it. Do those games even have a use for Street Pass?

A succinct reply. T-Thanks I guess?

3ds shits on it desu

But i did
