I have a computer with an i3 processor and integrated Intel HD graphics if anyone's wondering

My computer can run league of legends but can't run terraria. Why

Torchlight

Any myst game

Forgot to add Warcraft3 and Minecraft

Mount & Blade: Warband
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise
Fallout 1, 2, 3, and New Vegas. Avoid Fallout 3, however.
Project Zomboid. Pretty fun and polished game despite still being in Early Access.

Most Paradox games aside from HOI4 which is poorly optimized for what it is.

that's not a toaster you fucking underage retard

Diablo/Diablo II: Lord of Destruction

nuclear throne, spelunky, risk of rain, stardwe valley,

I tried running new vegas last year but the stuttering was unbearable
I tried that one mod that supposedly fixes it but that didn't work either. wat do?

Maybe it's time to get a new PC.
New Vegas has always been very easy to run even on cheap laptops.
If you can't run it without unbearable stuttering, you must be on a REALLY crappy machine.

Roller coaster Tycoon 2

he was a right fucking plum wasn't he

sc1
quake live
halo CE
m&b warband (don't play it though, it's shit)

I can run shit like GTA V and DS 2 at 30< fps but I can't get new vegas to run it just looks like it's chugging on frames and the micro stutter is a known issue with the engine I think

STALKER and Oblivion.
C&C Tiberian Sun.

touhou series

New Vegas, Fallout 3, and Skyrim run pretty poorly for their graphical quality, and New Vegas and 3 will still stutter sometimes even on decent machines.

Bread simulator

>only i3

There isn't a lot he can run, so I would call those toaster specs.

Are you guys sure STALKER will run on toaster? Will it run fine on something like this:
AMD Phenom II X2 550
Geforce 8600 GT
4 GB RAM
I remember playing it on the same spec but with Geforce 250 GS, and Clear Sky would stutter a bit.

Posting specs. Can run PS2 games fine. (Intel HD Graphics HD 4600). I have a 750ti, but there are issues with it, so I unistalled the drivers.

What resolution? STALKER was playable for me at 1024x768 with medium settings(no AA) 30-35ish fps and my PC is a trashcan. Your Phenom is better than my shitty sempron, and my gpu might even be weaker than yours

CNC series up to Red Alert 2: YR
Deus Ex
Worms Armageddon
Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast
Soldat
Sauerbraten (Cube II)
Doom I/II/maybe 3
Dominions 3
Killing Floor
Project Zomboid
UT99
Emulators + console games

found this while dumpster diving, what games can i play?

not him, but those are better specs than what I had when I played STALKER (and Crysis) for the first time back in 07;

P4 @ 2.4Ghz (single core)
1.5GB DDR1 RAM
Geforce FX 6600GT 128mb
Windows XP Home

Pic related, one of my oldest screenshots. Played at 1024x768, med-high settings, on DX9 Full dynamic mode, and got ~30fps average even in heavily populated areas.
My previous PC with core2duo + 8800GT could 1080p/High the games just fine.

Also, there's always the DirectX8 mode (Static Lighting), that will skyrocket the framerates in expense of some visual effects.

literally anything.

>knights of the temple 2

you fucked up
that game is shit

>a toaster
Nothing. It's a device meant for grilling bread, not a gaming machine.

Seriously people, learn to POST SPECS, instead of using such vague terms. For all we know, your "toaster" is some core2quad + Nvidia 9800GT combo!

Here's some oldie but goodie "netbook safe" games. You can add all 90's classics + emulation up to N64 & GBA to the list too.

Yes, it will run.
Hell, my 4yo craptop with [email protected] + HD graphics 3000 gets over 70fps average on DX8 mode and V-sync off.

Here's the Stalker Starting Guide pic for rookies, if you're planning to start the series.

PC ports of original Silent Hill -games.
Here's the latest SH PC Guide that helps ya run them on modern PCs, and the DL links:

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" is a all-in-one fix, that works as a no-cd crack as well. It is included in the pack.
If you use the NEW fix mentioned in the guide, you can use the sh2proxy's EXE as the no-cd crack!

In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.

SH2-4 do not support Xinput gamepads. Either use Xpadder, a DirectInput pad, or just play with KB+M.

Lisa

Hyper light drifter
Wow if the new xpack isn't shit, but I haven't played it so I don't know

here's the recommended emulator settings for SH1. Works great on all other games too.

The plugins used are:
-Pete's OpenGL 1.78; (more options & better performance than 2.x version)
-Eternal's SPU Engine.

alternatively just use a software renderer for very 1:1 PS1-like graphics, including 240p only.
...OR just buy the game from PSN Store for few bucks.

You could also try the new PGXP emulator, that adds Perspective Correction to PS1 textures.

Really Sup Forums?

Thanks a lot. I'll give it a try. Do you think putting a higher resolution will result in a massive fps drop? Does it even support something like 1920x1080? Im fine with medium and directX8.

But can I still run some of these mods though?

>118 degrees

JESUS CHRIST OP

>Do you think putting a higher resolution will result in a massive fps drop?
Obviously
>Does it even support something like 1920x1080?
Is THAT your idea of "high resolution" ??
Yes, it supports ALL resolutions. I play at 1920x1200, and I've seen some literal 4k screenshots too.

>But can I still run some of these mods though?
Yes, but results will vary.
I'd recommend starting with the Starter Pack mods; they contain only bug-fixes and visual mods, that can actually IMPROVE your framerates too.

All things said and done, you should be OK with 720p / DX9 / med-high mix settings. Probably even 1080p. Just do not use in-game AA at all, and lower that shadow-, grass- and vision-distance bars a notch.

here's a decent comparison of DX8 vs 9 lighting modes in the game. In short, DX8 makes the game look like some early-00s title (cuts out bumpmaps and real-time lighting), while DX9 and up look pretty damn nice, late-00s games they are.

It's good to note that STALKER was a pure DX8 title most of its development, so many areas do look quite nice even with Static Lighting. The texture-work is superb.
Still, those dynamic shadows really do add to atmosphere.

Can't really say because my gpu shits itself at every higher res, no mater the game. Pic related may be of help.

another comparison, outdoors this time.

Damn that screenshot looks great.
>Is THAT your idea of "high resolution" ??
Unfortunatly it is.
>All things said and done, you should be OK with 720p / DX9 / med-high mix settings
Thanks a lot dude. I'll give it a try.

Good hunting, Stalker!

To get the smoothest landing to the Zone's wonders, Consult that Starting Guide that was posted earlier,
then see the /vg/'s huge Stalker General for more tips and links: Play in the release order. Start with no mods - only latest patch, OR get the full "Starter Pack" first; these contain bug-fixers and light visual mods that can help performance as well.

Leave big overhauls for later playthrougs. Avoid the "Complete" -mods. Always play on MASTER difficulty for best realism and atmosphere, and disable crosshair.

Don't give up in the beginning! The starting gear sucks ass and first area can be a bit boring.
Avoid unnecessary conflicts. Remember, no gun in STALKER is a hit-scan laser spewer, and there's huge differences in performance and ballistics of different weapons and ammo-types.

Headshot is a killshot, 99% of the times. This includes you too!

just download the Complete mod

>just download the Complete mod
Good thing people already posted against your stupid bait, or someone might've fallen for this.

Complete mods are the #1 way to ruin your performance AND game entirely.

THose are the good answers

Add HOMM3
BG2 and other rpgs

when unsure, go oldschool
