Orlando is a Sword Saint, a literal fucking genuine blessed by the gods saint that can use Holy, Dark, and Thunder magic, he wields the holy sword Excalibur. He is also not afraid of dirty tactics. Orlando could probably kill Geralt in a single blow. Before Geralt even knew the danger he was in, while crushing his armour and weapons and blinding/confusing Geralt with holy magic.

Honestly if you want to mix game play mechanics and lore. Orlandu is an undying Time Mage Ninja that has killed gods, with layers of self resurrection that can stop time, can teleport anywhere instant transmission style, speed himself up (kinda useless when you can STOP FUCKING TIME) and duel wields two Excaliburs. Even if you kill him he can just resurrect him self from the dead indefinitely with auto life.

Final Fantasy Tactics characters are ridiculous broken which is why the game is so easy.

I've restarted a game of FFT years after being done with the game just to rekill Algus. I didn't play past that, I literally just wanted to kill him one more time.

It has been quite awhile since I have played FFT, but I remember Orlandu was a mythical-esque character with extremely powerful magic, who was more or less a demi-god. Geralt is an incredibly skilled monster hunter, but there are many characters even within his own world that would likely dust him.

We must also discuss which Geralt we are talking about. Geralt in the books is a master swordsman but a poor magic user. His signs are essentially tricks used to buy him a crucial moment to kill his enemy with a blade. Contrast that with the game, where he can be very powerful with his signs. This would limit how he could possibly even fight Orlandu, e.g. with a Quen shield.

In Final Fantasy Tactics, there's this thing called the Fifty Years War. Cid grew up in it, survived it, and became the strongest person in it. In a world full of knights and wizards and monsters and dragons and demons, Cid is the baddest mothefucker there is.

Looking at the sheer number of job skills Orlandu is able to learn that don't have to do with raining magic upon enemies(pre-counters and dual-wielding are examples and I'm not going to bother listing all of them because there are scores of them), Orlandu should be considered the most skilled swordsman due to diversity of abilities.
