How did Final Fantasy end up being held hostage by two of the biggest liars in the industry?
Final Fantasy
That's not no men's skyguy
Everyone else above them left SquareEnix.
Also, what did Yoshi lie about? He's been quite candid from the beginning that FFXIV is a WoW clone and he's trying to keep it 'balanced' by having set content and classes.
When did Todd and Sean get Final Fantasy?
uh, where's sean murray at?
It's the fault of SE suits. They're putting western devs with slint eyes in charge.
Tabata is trash. I can't even look at his incompetent lying face right now. Literally a corporate drone.
Yoshi-P was the only one crazy enough to risk his name salvaging FFXIV, and it worked so he was rewarded.
Well, at least YoshiP is not a hack. Also, Nomura want to fuck-off from FF mainline for a very long time and Kitase quit being director so Tabata and Toriyama are the only two we have left.
I will not be surprise if Nomura and Kitase fuck-off from FF for good after 7remake is out.
Where is Matsuno?
Where is Ito?
Where is Sakaguchi?
Why have all the talented people left and we're left with focus-testing hacks?
Wanting the western audience was a mistake.
>Why have all the talented people left
1. SE is a shitty greedy company. I don't know how Horii manages to escape the bullshit and do what he wants.
2. They are old and want to semi-retire
He had no name to begin with. The only reason he got the job was because he was 'that guy who plays mmos' in the whole company. Somehow the shit he ended up making had NO semblance of his supposed 'hardcore RvR' play style. He's full of shit.
>two of the biggest liars in the industry?
I don't see Todd and Sean in your image, OP.
>Wanting western audience
>By trying to copy everything about western game without a second though.
Big mistake right there.
>No Todd
>No Sean
>No Molyneux
>No Tim
>No Conman
>Not even fucking Baba or Toriyama
Faggots? Yes, but liars no
>He had no name to begin with.
He was the director of three successful Dragon Quest games before he took over FFXIV. One of which being the Dragon Quest MMO.
He didn't just fall out of the sky. He got the gig because he proved he could direct a successful MMO. Sadly, Dragon Quest X is a lot more original than FFXIV: ARR. Probably because Yuji Horii was involved.
Is the DQX is just another WoW template like XIV? What do you even do in a DQ MMO?
I have to say that the current Tabata is rank up there with Baba and Toriyama. It was such a shame he used to be a bro.
When did Toriyama lie? fuck off meme loving retard
Jin Fujisawa was always the director of Dragon Quest X, Yoshida was just a designer. He was director of the Monster Battle Road games.
There was no going worse with FFXIV 1.0. So there was no risk.
...
They didn't even port the game to PS4 until after this event the dumb fucks.
Dragon Quest X has five different people cited as a 'director'. I agree that Yoshida probably didn't have as big of a role as Fujisawa (or Horii). But still, he had a big enough role that he was a 'co' director. And apparently gained enough trust to get the FFXIV project.
Dragon Quest X was made to be a single player game from the start. So the entire game can be played solo, focusing on a typical story. But funny enough, despite this, it has far more multiplayer options than FFXIV does. It has dungeon raids and crafting like FFXIV does. But also coop story events, multiplayer parcheesi, a unique leveling system that uses offline players as AI party members (and gives those players EXP and gold) and even a way to craft stuff with 4 players.
The fact ARR could have still failed meant there was still a risk. Not just for him, but for the company. XIV was already a very expensive game, and they were dumping even more into fixing it; had it failed a second time, they would had been in serious financial trouble.
