here's more info
...
sorry I didnt make a thread talking about No mans sky for the 100th time this week
>4 targets
looking forward to seeing the speedruns of this shit
Doesn't look too exciting judging from that image. Looks too much like part of the GTA 5 map.
not liking how this map looks so far honestly unless there's some massive underground system that's also sketchy & grunge as fuck
guard has a nice ass 2bh
Meh. I was dissatisfied with Paris. While I'm willing to give it a chance again I do miss the ridiculousness of Blood Money. There were some things from BM that the new game really could have used, IMO. Like having the ability to force "accidents" on any set of stairs, or being able to knock people out with the silverballers. I sort of miss the BM Coin but it seems like you can still manipulate the AI pretty well without it.
yea, im getting absolution vibes from this.
Maybe its just the setting, but visually it looks the same as some of its levels, maybe even with the same assets
Contracts is pretty fun too.
>4 targets
That's probably too much.
I'm having Absolution flashbacks...
IO loves to make fun of rednecks don't they?
Not really excited by that map from what we know. Levels in "civilian" locations have always been better than ones with army dudes everywhere.
>sniper rifle in the promo pic
will we finally get the coveted briefcase?
considering this is the best videogame in the last 16 years, i am very excited.
yea, thats why Marrakesh is the weakest so far, but hopefully its quick and easy to get a disguise that lets you explore the place more freely than marrakesh
Yea, as an elusive target requirement
post yfw the US mission is the only mission where npcs won't speak english.
How many more levels are left?
Still waiting for this to be a complete game so I can buy it
Fuck, that leather jacket looks sweet.
LMAO
2 including this, plus one bonus level that's just a rerun of a previous level with a new target and a few changes
what's the point of cameras if they don't get guards alerted to your presence? BM did it right. Shoot a camera, guard comes to check it out. Be seen on camera where you shouldn't be, guards come and get you.
In TM seems like cameras are just another nuisance you can fix later on your way out.
The level itself looks fun, and four targets will be interesting. What worries me is how they will handle disguises. If it's just private, officer and general, it's gonna be disappointing.
>game updates
>have 40 gigs free on the game partition
>Steam says it can't update because there's no disk space available
>check partition
>it's filled to the brim with garbage data
Had to uninstall RO2 to make some space. That shit fucking blows.
yea, they keep adding extra shit to download for all the ET's and it can be a pain.
Also, my steam download is stuck downloading an update for the game
that's why i install the updates manually with Xdelta patches. It updates one file at a time instead of the whole shit like stupid steam does.
>It's an "heavy militarized uncomfy location with no civilians" level
These end up being the worst levels of Hitman 95% of the times.
>Disk usage: 45 gigs
>three episodes yet to be released
Why won't people in this game shut up. every NPC has something to say, even Diana won't shut the fuck up.
"THAT... is ", yea, no shit. And how the hell does she even see what I see?
And 2 more seasons planned.
I wonder how the disc version is gonna be...
>yfw disc version is just a steam installation.
nanomachines :^ )
>its an "every single target 47 is assigned to kill just so happens to be absolute scum who deserves to die" episode
real sick of these reruns tbqh
To be fair, variety is important as well. You don't want every level to be a Sapienza or a Bangkok.
As long as Japan isn't like this, I guess I'm fine with it.
Weren't most targets like that? I remember the carnival guy from BM was extremely unlucky and miserable, but that's about it.
It's easier to name all the levels of Hitman where this ISN'T the case
-Rendezvous in Rotterdam
-Requiem
And even then there are targets that are pieces of shit, just a few added targets that aren't.
I guess you could say Clarence was only negligent and didn't deserve the death penalty, so you might arguably add in Death of a Showman as well.
i never understood this tencendy in modern games to have the knockout mechanic be a choke. either you get choked for so long/hard that your brain actually takes damage and you never wake up without help or you wake up after 10-15 seconds and everything is fine. knocking people out with a strike to the head makes much more sense if you want them to stay knocked out for minutes. too bad this only works with items and is pretty loud in 2016
Not true. The girl in Sapienza is pretty nice desu. If you do all her opportunities, you'll see that she's trying to stop Silvio's mad vengeance, that she's been inquiring about the death of Silvio's mother and that she genuinely loves the golf coach.
Also, if you had to kill a super nice, kitten saving pro-peace saint, it'd feel like a clumsy attempt to make the player feel guilty.
surprise all rich/powerful people are scum in some way and theyre the only ones worth murdering
is it loud? i threw a wrench at a guy's head and the dude next to him didn't even flinch.
even choking causes noise if youre too close but the distance seems much smaller. you probably just got lucky somehow. items are much faster than choking so they normally cause more noise.
The best targets are either James Bond type villains or pathetic Cohen Brothers characters.
Why don't people care if i walk in on them when they're in the bathroom?
why don't bodyguards care if you enter a bathroom they're client is in?
Post god tier Hitman youtube players
Yeah, me neither. It seems so dumb to try and embrace "realism" but then have 47 able to choke people into a permanently unconscious state. Oh, don't forget the neck snapping. But somehow in this "realistic" game you can't push people down stairs or take them as human shields.
but they do care. they tell you to gtfo and if you dont, they call guards
guards are a bit inconsistent. i think the paris guard guarding novikov actually stands in front of the restroom when you poison novikov and he sends you away. there was an elusive target where both guards went into the bathroom together with the target
>not having 2tb storage
casual
>Why don't people care if i walk in on them when they're in the bathroom?
in the very first level in the entire game there's a guy in the bathroom who does just that
guards are a different messy story
>Why don't people care if i walk in on them when they're in the bathroom?
They always do care, actually, unless they're sick and need to barf somewhere desperately.
>why don't bodyguards care if you enter a bathroom they're client is in?
Eh, I dunno, I guess it's because they're not really paying attention. Some guards do enter the bathroom to watch the target as he's in the bathroom, though. Others don't.
They do now though. They ask you to leave if they see you entering. I believe up until the summer bonus missions, they didn't care.
i've always liked these "middle of nowhere" levels in hitman, the wedding one from Blood Money comes to mind
i hope that farm is comfy enough
The problem is that it's not exactly a farm.
>Agent 47 must infiltrate a Colorado farm compound that has been converted into a private militia training camp.
It's basically a militia base.
If it was just a rural farm then it would sound ok. Kill some billionaire rancher or something. But private militia sounds boring.
kek
There are some minor problems I have with the game, but overall I love it. This is the huge major disappointment though. Kyd really gave the games a unique vibe and it is sorely missed.
>farm hs 4 terrorists
gotta kill dem white people!!!!!
#BlackLivesMatter
Knocking people out from behind with any blunt object is almost 100% silent
They basically need to be three feet away from each other to hear it.
The game is made by Scandinavians, are you even surprised?
>Scandinavians
Im not surprised since Scandinavians are the ones taking crosses off their churches because it offends the muslim community.
fuck off commie, get shit on and die
this game is being made on the cheap so that when it fails it won't be such a blow so things like music and VO actors get the ax.
If marrakesh's roofs were largely connected into a tertiary network so we had underground, ground level, rooftops, it would have been my favourite map.
3 rooftop accesses just didn't cut it.
if they make everyone just speak spanish in this map I'm going to say fuck it to waiting for the whole season and just give my thumbs up steam review on the spot
>4 targets
Shit, man. Looking forward.
I dropped it, Paris was ok but the core systems are fucked, I got Sapienza and Marrakech thinking it would improve but it's still 4/10 at best.
>Why don't people care if i walk in on them when they're in the bathroom?
they do
they even have specific dialogue for this, asking for privacy and for you to leave until they finally go into full alert and go get a guard
Ok someone explain to me the story of hitman 2016, I swear it was supposed to be a prequel or some shit but wouldnt that fuck up considering the games chronologically set before it are supposed to be after it?
And what happened to hitman absolution with 47 removing his barcode and dianna dying
It's gonna be the worst mission of the season, guaranteed.
I'm hoping it will be a particularly lengthy one, but the setting has me concerned.
>And what happened to hitman absolution with 47 removing his barcode and dianna dying
The barcode grew back or whatever, it's not very well explained
Diana didn't die after all, 47 just pretended to kill her
>I swear it was supposed to be a prequel
The two prologue missions in the tutorial happen after 47 escapes the Asylum at the beginning of Codename 47 but before any of the other events of the game. It's him training to become an agent.
The rest of the plot happens post-Absolution and it's 100% chronologically coherent. Events of the previous games are mentioned.
>can turn faucet on
>can't turn it off
Rumors of Diana's death are greatly exaggerated. I don't know what this prequel is supposed to be but I guess it sets up the events leading to Blood Money.
>can poison the sushi
>can't have a filling and healthy meal
The tutorial missions are prequel-y. Then you get a beautiful montage of some of the most famous kills from across the games (including an absolution one). Then the actual game happens.
Here's the trailer, it also introduces the antagonist whose motives are currently a mystery!: youtube.com
But she was terminated from the ICA and likely so was agent 47, why are they back in it? Why do they not face any punishment for killing Travis and the chick from absolution, or the hundreds of other people that were in on it
it was all a ruse
fuck off
That's explained at the end of Absolution, mate. I don't remember the details but basically Diana proved to the ICA upper management that Travis was incompetent and stupid for the way he dealt with Dexter. They let both 47 and Diana back in and everything goes back to normal.
The antagonist's motives have been obvious for a while now. He wants to take down Providence A.K.A. the Illuminati and he's doing it in the exact same way they did to get in power in the first place: By using 47
Tbh I don't think Providence are quite on the Illuminati level. They're big, but they are not THAT powerful or ancient.
Where does the agency fit in there, anyway? Are they truly a completely independent force?
This is the USA episode? Colour me disappointed. Wanted a civilian zone, not a Hitman Absolution "you are a hostile 99% of the time" zone.
Diana insists that the ICA tries to maintain neutral regardless of circumstance. However part of this is ensuring they are not manipulated and the most recent cutscene in Hitman expressed worry of manipulation in the existing levels so the plan to use 47 to defeat Providence may backfire.
The Agency's sole focus is always to be independent. The only bad merits of that is that anybody with a lot of money can manipulate The Agency to their own demise.
you think thats bad? i have like 10 games for my ps4 and i had to delete one to install a 1.4 gb patch for bo3 because of the dumb fucking games that are all at least 60 gigabytes and sony is dumb fucking shit i hate this shit so much why does the hard drive have 500 gb of free space
You could easily get a 3TB HDD for the same price of a 1TB 7 years ago. If you're unhappy about the space, buy a new one.
I just realized that the Agency is pretty much a fantasy Assassin Guild kinda cliche, only put in a contemporary setting.
i never even knew you could replace the ps4s hard drive i am definitely going to get a new one
Is that Walter rifle from Hitman 2 available?
You can even replace it with an ssd, although I haven't read up on any tests to see just how much of a difference it makes.
chronologically, I believe that the missions span 47's career
Yeah, just make sure it's 2.5 inch 5400 or 7200 RPM Sata and you're set. Could even get a Hybrid if you wanted.
Kind of, the only thing that separates them is that an Assassin kills for money alone whereas a Hitman kills for a criminal organisation (The Agency).
I'm taking a break. Had no fun completing Marrakesh and I couldn't even be arsed to finish Bangkok. I think I'm burnt out.
We don't fucking talk about Absolution. If they're making all steps to return to the canon way before Absolution happened, that's fine by me.
No, but new gear is released with every episode so there's hope.
I prefer the stories for each individual level, I never knew there was so much going on story wise in the marakessh mission
I mean, the Agency itself is like an Assassin Guild. Maybe not legal, but accepted above-the-low organization willing to kill for money.
with the current sales numbers, I wouldn't get hopes up for those 2 seasons friendo.
I'm a huge hitman fan since the first.
I can't bring myself to buy episodic shit though.
they wouldn't have announced it if the sales weren't up to their expectations.
give me some quick hint for the fashion show mission, i just started playing it and i am overwhelmed by the amount of shit one can do...
