>Good undead goyim: link the flame, repel the darkness and undo the curse.
Good undead goyim: link the flame, repel the darkness and undo the curse
...
Well alright.
>side with Frampt you're being manipulated
>side with Kaathe you're being manipulated
No matter what you do you're fucked.
Wait a minute hold up
>Gwyn left to sacrifice himself to the flame to keep it burning
>The flame is dying out
>Someone tells you that you have the opportunity to amass a great flame and succeed Lord Gwyn
>It's expected that you understand that, while this is a great sacrifice, it is also a great honor that a humble undead would be able to rekindle the First Flame
>"what the fuck no one told my I'd get set on fire, this is bullshit, frampt you jewsnake you fooled me real good, I should've let everything fall into darkness, anytime someone listens to kaathe everything turns out great"
No one tricked you, you're just dumb.
ultimately it doesn't matter, it's a cycle after all.
so you sayin
There was no point in doing anything in these games. You link the fire, you burn like a candle. You bring in the dark age, you rule over absolutely nothing but hollow people who couldn't give a shit about you. Might as well stay in Anal Rodeo and stare at tits all day.
The whole game you walk around killing a bunch of assholes who became gods because they were Lord Gwyn's cronies.
Instead of rekindling the flame and letting the whole process start over again, why not just end it and let something new take root?
This is what I thought, When I beat Dark souls for the first time I understood I was fighting to be sacrificed for the sake of the first flame, and that defeating Gywn would lead to that sacrifice.
I thought it was really cool, Like tragically fighting a king that didn't want to be dethroned in order to save the kingdom.
I like to believe Frampt and Kaathe are the exact same dude just waiting to give you conflicting advice depending on whether you speak to him in Firelink or the New Londo Abyss, purely for shits and giggles and top bantz.
Dark Age ending showing like six or so of the serpents at once kind of ruins that for me though.
Yeh, but I sure as shit don't want to be the one faggot who dropped the ball.
I always imagined them like this.
Frampt, please.
...
DEEPEST
LORE
Damn.
Dude wat. Ancient cadacus symbol=heraldic symbol for the serpents
Labrys axe=Ancient heraldic symbol of nito
woah
>not letting darkness cover the land and giving mankind a second chance
So are serpents born from the abyss or what? Like what's the best way to describe them?
Also why did Gwynn hate dragons? Was he manipulated by the serpents?
And what happened to the rest of the pantheon like Velka and shit?
Daily reminder that they made the story vague on purpose because they have absolutely no understanding of Medieval life, politics, or mythology, and only crazed souls autists will defend it for being deep.
we have seen what darkness do and is as shitty as it sounds, by linking the fire at least you are giving a couple of generations a less shitty time before darkness comes anyway.
Those Batman drawings arte pretty sick
Not gay but that webm gave me an erection.
Is that why he values dung pies oddly high?
Because he can't shit for himself?
>Darkness is bad
>It's all Kaathe's fault
>The four kings were strong willed and wise, they didn't abuse their power, until it consumed them
I TRIED TO GET ONE BUT ALL I COULD DO WAS GAWK
because the only possible thing after an age of darkness is a new age of fire, being in a cycle means everything is pointless anyway, so the real choice is make things better for now at the cost of your own sacrifice or make thing worse but keep the power to yourself, the gods and the darkwraiths are just there to reap the benefits of each age.
yeah because the Abyss looks like the most comfortable place to live and that corruption plague that appear DS3 truly indicate the Dark age was a good choice,
Who's man this is
Kaathe literally tells you the truth though
Your never made aware that Gwyn sacrificed himself. What the hell are you talking about?
DARK SOULS 2 IS GARBAGE YOU TAKE THAT BACK.DS1 IS THE ONLY DARK SOULS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
The lore on some items tells you that.
Will you really post this tomorrow?Be honest
Does das2 even have any das1/3 relevant lore? I mean it's in a different world isn't it? I dropped it and don't really feel like picking it up again
it does not take in the same place but a lot of element of DS1 are shoved into to two without rhyme or reason, DS3 ignores it for the most part but there are a couple of items that make references to DS2 but not in a particularly good light, if i recall well there is a item that out right remarks the quest of the undead in DS2 as pointless.
Honestly I don't remember much of DS2 lore other than a few boss souls having connections to the Lord Souls of DS1. Also there was Ornstein randomly popping up, but that was probably just an easter egg since it was never even vaguely explained. It does take place in the same world as DS1 and 3 though. If you already dropped it, don't bother picking it back up again. It's not like it gets better.
I'm not sure about DS3, because I haven't played it yet, but the Abyss is just where the primordial serpents dwell, what does it have to do with the dark age?
>one speaks the truth and the other literally spews shit from his mouth
AHAHAHAHAHA
Dark Souls tells you that the flame will fade eventually, no cycle or anything like that.
is a good example of how a world without fire looks
kaathe tells you the truth
being hollow is the natural state of humans, and collecting the fragments of the dark soul should be their goal
he gave lifedrain to humans to collect humanity, which are most likely fragments of the dark soul, they go mad with power and turn into humanity-hungry crazies, which fucked up his plans
he wanted to dig up the remains of the first human the original owner of the dark soul, whether oolacile going crazy was part of his plan or an accident is unclear
in ds3 he backs the nation of hollows, and the proper ending to the game is humans/hollows getting united under the dark lord, and the charade of the first flame fuckwads is finally over
kaathe literally did nothing wrong
Was going to post this.
After seeing the six serpents in the dark lord ending I always thought that kaathe and frampt are the same being bound to a hidden body like a hydra with many primordial serpent heads and they give you contradictory information because wheter you do one thing or the other it advances their plans anyway
The covetous serpent rings in dks3 made me think that maybe the reason why gwyn fought the dragons in the first place was because he was manipulated by the serpents that were envious of the flying lizards because they would never be like them and the events of the three games are just different stages in their plan to achieve stone scales and wings to resemble ancient dragons more closely
Hence the reason why those primordial serpent statues in lothric have wings
What about the Dragon Age world, before the fire? It looks normal.
>kaathe tells you the truth
I wouldn't say so. He doesn't like about everything.
Both serpents lie, but not about everything.
My own observations align with yours as well.
just become the "king" of hollows shhh just do it
Really made me think tbqh
...
>Feed off humanities, shards of the Dark Souls
>Not torture Manus
>Not greedly gather power, till it overcomes yourself
Sure gets those neurons firing
No, it is not. I am sick and tired of subhumans like you who do not comprehend the lore linking the abyss with the age of man (dark).
The age of man (dark), never gets the chance to occur, because Gwyn the bastard son of a whore defies reality and causality with his sacrifice, artificially extending the age of fire and the curse on humanity, turning them undead, the whole following cycle is also a creation of Gwyn. The true age of man (dark) never occurs and never can occur, hollows are a perversion and corruption of humans, seeking humanity, humans were never meant to horde humanity, the fire was meant to fade away and with it the power of the gods, then humans as in humans like you and me would ascend and take control because of their superior numbers, which would be the age of men, it being called "dark" is from the perspective of the gods, for them it is dark, because they lose their lord soul powers and the fire. "gods" and humans originally both came from the dark (dark souls intro).
The abyss has nothing to do with age of man (dark) and the "dark age" we are shown in game is a false version, or a corrupted version, which ties in the loophole that Gwyn created to cycle the age of fire for eternity, unless it is broken somehow.
Gwyn is the most evil bastard piece of shit character in dark souls lore and Dark Souls 3 is my favoure game because Pontiff and Aldrich rape, torture and exterminate his cancerous legacy and family.
The only person from Gwyns family that might be redeemed is nameless king, depending on his motive for joining the Dragons.
