If you're having a bad game as a character, fucking switch. There's 22 god damn characters for a reason. If you're not on point as a damage dealer, let someone else do it and heal or tank.

I've discontinued playing games in the past due to "toxic" players such as those found in games like Dota 2 or Counter Strike Global Offensive.

I don't call them toxic and disregard the game because it "hurts my feelings" or any bullshit like that but games that have negative communities can actually be counterproductive, especially if the game is highly competitive and requires people to work together.

My last game in Dota 2 involved me criticizing a teammate that failed to throw out a stun and nearly got me killed in the beginning of the match, which lead him to shut down, throw a temper tantrum, and spout expletives until the game was lost. This is the kind of toxic community that is counterproductive and makes gaming more and more of a joke.

Silencing the chat entirely is interesting though, and I'm curious to see how this will play out despite the fact that I don't believe it's the right way to address this issue.
