>"But if you kill him you'll be just like him!"
"But if you kill him you'll be just like him!"
*hey el kiddo
>hey, you just tried to kill me and everyone I love
>but the plot says you're good now, so I'll completely forgive you and everything you've done
>game tries to make you empathize with the villain
>Why? I'm not talking about killing Penguin! Or Scarecrow. Or Dent. I'm talking about HIM. Just him.
Why didn't toddler just kill him himself?
>He's retarded
>Papa Bat smashed his face through a bathroom before he could
There's a reason the fans voted to kill him off.
no I FUCKING WONT BE LIKE HIM. holy shit. if I don't kill him, guess what? he's ALIVE and I'M ALIVE, making me, oh what do you know? LIKE HIM. but, if I were to oh, I dunno, KILL HIM. HE'D BE DEAD. WHICH ISN'T LIKE ME SINCE I'M FUCKING ALIVE AND HE'S DEAD HOLY SHIT.
>villain: killed thousands upon thousands for personal gain
>protagonist: killed maybe 500 guys who tried to kill him first
>villain: would kill protagonist to achieve world domination
>protagonist: would kill villain to protect humanity
JUST LIKE HIM
>villain: killed
>protagonist: killed
>villain: would kill
>protagonist: would kill
HOLY SHIT YOU'RE RIGHT
>someone you know fucking bought it
Why doesn't batman just break the jokers spine or break his legs or something like that? Joker would be incapable of puling shit and Batman would not break his rule.
I bet you only read headlines and form your opinions on those
I bet you think NowThis is a good source of information
Seriously I see this get thrown around but I don't think I've seen a game that's ever done with. Name one fucking game.
>If you kill him you'll be like him
>Protag goes along with his evil plan while the good guys try to stop him without killing them
I fucking hate this shit so fucking much
but what if you're ALREADY DEAD.
>And all I have to do is let you go, right?
>See, that's where you lose my interest.
did batman ever send money to arkham so that they could improve security?
>We aren't so different, you and I
>"Yeah... you're right."
>Shoots him anyways.
>try to spare the villain
>someone in your party kills him anyway
You killing someone for your own reasons hence your just like him in that regard. right and wrong are subjective
If I'm dead then why does it feel like i've ALREADY WOKEN UP
>almost every piece of lamb's dialogue in bioshock 2
>defeat the villain
>if you don't kill him right away he starts monologueing
>if you let him continue a companion shoots him in the face
borderlands 2
>Robot asshole torches your village and kills your gf
>Entire first part of the game is "I'M GONNA KILL ROBOT ASSHOLE"
>Eventually find out robot asshole is a human
>"W-WHAT!? OH NO, I CAN'T KILL A FELLOW HUMAN!"
>Robot asshole conveniently falls off a cliff two seconds later.
>"You just don't get it, do you?"
i would also have accepted fable 2
>"If you kill your enemies they win"
t. the literal leader of Canada that they willingly elected to office
>Ah, I thought he'd never shut up.
>...
>Oh, I'm sorry, did YOU want to kill him?
I'm reminded of a quote:
"But what is justice? Is it to forgive the man who killed my beloved friend? That would certainly be virtuous. Admirable, sickeningly so. But even if a thing is virtuous, does that make it just? No. I say it's neither just nor virtuous to live in peace and let the dead go unavenged. It is evil!"
Didn't you know the Nazis won WWII user
>Goes apeshit on a defenseless soldier.
>Never bring it to the party attention.
>"My friend can't be this evil."
>Kill thousands of people to get to the villain
>Don't kill him because if you do you'll be just like him
This is the worst shit.
I'd kill whoever says that, too, it would mean he was on the bad guy's side all along.
>tfw I voted for the borderline communist party because I thought it'd be the only way to stop that muppet from winning
Fuck me I guess.
>not having a real reaction image for this
Wow fucking plebs
But that wasn't Richard it was Lamda, Lamda's personality took over Richard's body and was an asshole to everyone. I don't believe Richard was ever an asshole, it was all Lamda and after Lamda leaves Richard's body he's pretty nice and polite again. Also look at the dialogue he had with Asbel and Sophia at the beginning of the game, he's really kind and friendly to them, and even smiles and laughs as well.
>the villain is a retarded sociopath
>"he dindu nuffin!!!"
>character does horrible evil shit
>find out that a monster that's going to destroy the world can only be kill by certain people
>evil character is one of them
>beat him on nonlethal combat
>tell him that he should be the sacrifice
>suddenly best friend character showed up
>NOOOOO! HE's EVIL WE NEED TO KILL HIM NOW!
>but it's the only logical choice
>NOOOO! SACRIFICE IS AN HONOR AND HE HAS NO HONOR!
>but Alist-
>FINE! I'M LEAVING THE PARTY PERMANTLY THEN!
>If I spare him maybe he'll talk
>Expecting a harderned elite merc to rat out his Illuminati masters
Yeah no Adam.
>Get beaten in a scripted cutscene
>"It's not your fault MC. *character was on a whole other level than you,"
GTA IV
