The game needs to send some bullshit through internet to allow you to play the game, which means if somehow your internet is fucked for days (which can happen) you will not be able to play a game which you have paid for, also notice that the cracked versions will not suffer from this making the cracked version literally better than the paid one.
Also, Denuvo fucks with modding, not that important but is also something to remark

Performance still drops and the cracked version of denuvo games still runs better even if is not that noticeable, so you are only practically right but technically wrong

Doom 4's story and general attitude were based around Brutal Doom and the classic Doom comic.

If you like the above, you'll love Doom 4. If not, I'd maybe give it a try but don't expect to love it.
