Blood Omen.
>regular game
>this is the healing thing, if you die and you have one in your inventory one will be consumed to revive you or you can use one to heal yourself
>Blood Omen
>The Heart of Darkness
>Reputed to have been ripped from the chest of the greatest vampire to have ever existed, Janos Audron, the Heart of Darkness restores vampiric unlife. Life is precious, Janos discovered, as it was torn, throbbing and bleeding, from his own body.

just cause 2

Subnautica has the deepest lore and the deepest gameplay.

How the fuck is that deep? Janos is one of the main characters in the entire series, and they even show you that scene in SR2.

>DEEP LORE
unfortunately I have to say elder scrolls. The books in all the game has a really broad history that goes back for a long time. Couple that with all the continents and the creation of the universe, gods and realms it is pretty all encompassing.

shame about the games though

where is that dog's neck

...

Hotline Miami 1 and 2 have some pretty cryptic stuff

Dark Souls, Nuclear Throne, The Binding of Isaac...

Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion.

This is now a doggo thread.

Post more doggoes!

obese doggo

One Way Heroics.

OFF

protective doggo

This is the only true answer.

Most games these days will intentionally leave large gaps in plot so you fuckers will debate them and market their game for them.

Myst actually made you work for your connecting lore.

...

what does this mean?

thank you

It means the game knows you pressed A, probably even multiple times you filthy whore.

I loved Myst but I hated Riven. Riven felt too much like the goal was to wander around aimlessly and play Where's Waldo with clues. When I found something in MYST I would go "Oh, of course! it's so obvious now!", but in Riven it just seemed like they threw shit around randomly and I spent more time looking through bad bump-map prerenders for the button or scrap of paper

were the other Myst games any good?

It's funny how wrong you are.

Also, no one follow the link if you haven't played the game.

I'm not talking about plot or story elements. The story was fine. I'm talking about the placement of individual puzzle mini-game elements, which were pretty much scattered to the wind. Also, as I mentioned, the art style made it much worse because you often had to hunt down that magic pixel, or the arbitrary item which you can interact with in a sea of items that are just background pieces with no function.

in MYST, you could tell something was important if it had a more detailed model. In Raven you just need to click on everything and see what sticks.
