When E.T. happened and killed video games for the US
NAME 1(ONE) GAME EUROPOORS CREATED THAT WASN'T MADE BY SLAVS AND WAS GOOD
I'm tired of this meme.
Video games didn't die in the US. What died was consoles designed exclusively for gaming. The C64 exploded in popularity as home computers became the new home for gaming software.
Also, the PC-98 had a slightly more robust library through roughly 1985-1995. After that the American market started taking off.
>Name one game made by Europeans that wasn't actually made by Europeans.
ET didn't actually "kill the video game industry" as many people claim. It contributed towards Atari's bankruptcy since they produced way too many copies and did a piss poor job of explaining to customers how to play it, but it was actually a lot of factors that led to the crash, namely the complete flooding of the market place with cheap cartridges and no effort on the part of retailers or Atari to keep the bad ones from taking up shelf space.
Europe was kind of like a control sample compared to the US. There was no video game crash there, but video games were never that popular to begin with compared to the US, and continued growing at a consistant rate every year rather than having an explosion of popularity followed by a catastrophic crash. PC gaming and console gaming were both hobbies of the bourgeois-- it was a smaller market but it consisted mainly of people who had a lot of money.
In the 90s, the situation changed. All of those high-end computers from the 80s were now budget computers in Europe. Even the 8 bit machines were still being manufactured and supported because poor people could afford them, and only the bourgeois had moved on to the higher end IBM compatible machines.
Meanwhile in the US, the economy was doing great and the 386 and 486 machines really took off. These machines would have been considered high-end "luxury" items in Europe, but in the US they were a lot more affordable. No-one was paying attention to microcomputers like the C64 and Spectrum anymore (Spectrum's US launch through Timex was a total failure) and they were considered obsolete, even though they were still in common use across the pond. In the US, a computer in the early-mid 90s that could run Doom and had a CD drive was a standard family computer, while in Europe you were lucky just to have a dedicated desk and monitor for your computer instead of having to hook it up to the family TV and put it on the coffee table.
They managed to unlock the power of good computer game development through squatting.
Slavs are Asians.
...
It's the other way around. Americans mostly like to laugh at Europeans but they don't give a fuck and enjoy their higher qualify of life.
>their higher qualify of life
Maybe pre-rape-fugees time but now.
Good job user. Now whip out another epic meme and you'll fit right in.
Ola esse don't u know I'm locco?
>It's the other way around.
I wouldn't have guessed that from all the euros constantly talking about america every chance they get.
You know why?
Because of the almighty Amiga
Only Amiga!
There is literally no city as shitty as Detroid in Europe.
Only Amiga indeed.

Because Yuros didn't fall as hard for the console meme for whatever reason
They didn't really fall for computers any harder than the US, though. Europe was a much bigger market for budget computers and video games than the US because europoors gonna poor.

>Europe
