When you look into it, the amount of cut content in both Dark Souls 1 and 2 is incredibly disappointing. At least with DaS1 they still had enough assets to thread together into a cohesive second half but for 2 they just had scraps that had to be sewn into something playable after they realised that the PS3 and 360 couldn't handle what they were going for and Namco finally removed their own incompetent director and let From elect their own.

Kojima has good ideas I just think that he needs massive scope for them to be pulled off at all decently, and no one can currently support that scope which we all learned the hard way with Konami. They're hardly in the wrong for what they did but that doesn't excuse either them or Kojima for how TPP turned out. Kojima is good at coming up with plots but when it comes to actually writing them he's pretty amateur. MGS1, 2 and 3 are still some of the best stories in the medium but no one is going to say they're well written ones. Well put together and thought out (at least on each individual entry) but amateurly written.
