with quality pictures of it too I take it?

In general they sprinkled dank memes, like changing Hifumi talking about non-existent works to references to real games or having Ishimaru say "Bazinga" for the ebin lulz.

...

...

>tfw you realise some fuckers who spend their time shitposting on Sup Forums or something get paid to be giant weebs

You're the people who post pictures of three Vitas, two shelves full of weeb games and a Miku doll on Sup Forums, aren't you?

...

...

My favorite quality translation

which game it was from? I yet to play Infinity, DD2 and D5 tho,.

Trinity Universe

>people call gannon the bad guy
>the monsters "protecting" the 8 fragments were under Zelda's order all along

christ that was so confusing when I played that version first

I thought the real villain was some kind of giant kangaroo monster for the longest time

...

>Trinity Universe
ah
3D models there were so terrible I tried to erase memory about it existence
is game itself good to care anyway?

well at least it's not a giant well done steak

HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMEN !!

not really

I still kinda liked it but it's the kind of game I wouldn't recommend to anyone. It plays a lot like the first Neptunia game (the original version) that everyone hates, it was basically based on Trinity's system.

fucking meeemorie i wish we could play that translation on an actually playable version of the game, i want to laugh at it again

Makes me kinda glad I didn't know English back when I played it.

I have quite low standards myself, maybe can stomach it for Etna's sake. But will keep in mind that not to pay more than 5$ for it.
I never played Neptunia, dunno how gameplay is there.

we get signal

Well, you might like then.

TU was a bit better gameplay-wise for what it's worth, Neptunia made the system dumber, and added retarded healing mechanics on top.

Wish Nep had kept TU's lurkers.. although people seem to hate them in general (high level enemies that start chasing you if you stay in a dungeon too long)

...

This may as well just be a Neptune thread at this point.

...

I like how they did the keikaku thing not just in one game, but in two games.

The Neptitude is intensifying to the point where we may not be able to contain it

NISA does nep translation?

...

>>>/neppit/ is that way

is the neptunia series any good?
if i want to get into the series do i need to start from the first game or can i just start from the last good one?

still, those 3D models sure is scary.
will wait till I clean all Disgaea backlog I have

...

Yes, picture is neptunia PP which was localized by NISA, and they did all the older titles as well.

They don't do the localizations anymore but pretty sure IF is just hiring the same translators

>danganronpa has multiple translations
>all of them fuck things up

>tfw it got censored in the PC version and left with an underwhelming "this guy is sick"

...

>still reading translations
エッ(゚Д゚≡゚Д゚)マジ?

なんで?ねぇ、なんで日本語が出来ないよ?

At first I just thought I was reading a really shitty German accent.

do nips still use those ascii cat characters in posts?

Only if you're okay with paying $30 per game and 90+ dollarydoos in DLC

i'm not good at learning things. i failed japanese in high school. not desperate enough to devote all my NEET free time to it yet.

I hardly have time to play games, I won't waste that time I had left on learning another language,
I can stomach shitty translation especially if I can learn a difference online.

>Translation fix
>Censor
What
Which one is this so I don't buy it?

Luckily for you, even a monkey can learn a language. An hour a day is more than enough.

If you have the time to post on Sup Forums, you have the time to learn a new language.

I can never understand the end-game for people who keep making excuses. Are you seriously going to spend the rest of your life waiting for translations?

not him, but looks like type-0, loved that game personally

you could always use the PSP fantranslation if that's any better, not that I'd know

also, I look forward to seeing "this guy are sick" every replay for a chuckle, but then I played the newer version and was disappointed -- it's censorship of history I say!

>If you have the time to post on Sup Forums, you have the time to learn a new language.
user, 5 min waste in a thread you alt-tab into while doing other things is not enough to memorize all kanji to get comfortable with playing games without looking into each kanji you bump into.
It's not an excuse, I don't need to learn JP right now cause I have big enough English backlog to care about.
>Are you seriously going to spend the rest of your life waiting for translations?
65%forever and ever

WHAT YOU SAY?

The fan translation is immensely better, yo.

The original on PPSSPP also looks better than HD, anyway.

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US
YOU ARE ON THE WAVE OF DISTRUCTION

...

This Kohta bot reminds me of Kite.

But it's the fan translation with japanese audio and Togami says "Oi" when that pops up, so it's an alright fight.
Also Ishimaru says Bazinga exactly to illsutrate how out-of-touch lame he is when it comes to what is cool among his peers. It's basically a dad joke when you press him about his lack of coolness.
>What, no, I´'m totally hip! Bazinga! That's what the kids are saying these days right?

...

>cayene

It's a shitty waifubait meme game with reused assets and cringy dialogue.
And yet here I am playing it anyway because it's fun

stop having fun

>Fan translations

what about it is fun?

how's the recent'ish fantranslation of the PS1 version

if arche doesn't fuck like a tiger, I might not bother replaying

how was the grand kingdom translation? I was thinking about picking it up, but the NISA logo scared me off.

What about official translations?

Did you forgive him?

I don't recall anything bad standing out translation-wise save for a handful of typos.

""""""""""" GANNON """"""""""""

>Weebshit

Get out.

remember to aim to be as close to the original as possible

...

Spike Chunsoft seems to keep NISA on a tight leash when it comes to their games, probably because they do EN>JP localizations themselves.

PROSECUTEDT TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE JAM

>no "what a gentle young man she was"

>well this isn't that bad
>spiderman
Oh god damn it.

>With this mask, Spiderman stroke all criminal activates and criminals everywhere

>Disgaea backlog

Good luck, buddy. Those games never really end.

It's like I'm really playing Breath of Fire 2

>there are people on this very board who genuinely want translations to be done like this

I know, I have 200~ hours in D1,2,3,4 and yet barely scratched post game content in all of them.
After I get thru DD2 and D5, will get back to D1 to kick Baal ass as Etna
getting used to D1 mechanics will be tough
Tho now I mostly switched to SRWOG2, it was in my backlog for too long and MD Eng release kinda triggered idea of finally getting to it. At least this sRPG you can beat.

What does 1's translation mess up? I know 2's was a barely-edited mess in some parts and was full of wrong translations and literally-translated sentences.

5 is the only Disgaea game that I've put over 100 hours into since the first one.
They're all great games, imo, but Hour of Darkness is the only one I broke into the 1000s and beat the ultimate boss.
I'd say if you've beaten the 'plot' for each game, you could safely take them off your backlog without guilt.
They're addictive as fuck, though. I totally get it

MAIN SCREEN TURN ON

>I'd say if you've beaten the 'plot' for each game, you could safely take them off your backlog without guilt.
yeah, I currently do that with few dips in itemworld + postgame sidequests here and there.
But I really dedicated to come back to all of them and complete everything I can
>They're addictive as fuck, though. I totally get it
it's basically sRPG with gameplay which allows you to do ANYTHING you desire. With each iteration that ANYTHING has more variable ways to reach.
Series build on finding ways to exploit it's gameplay mechanics to your own gain.
You think about idea, you use mechanics you know to achieve it, and then grin like an idiot cause your plan worked and your character becomes overpowered as hell

((((Gannon))))

>child of man

Don't forget that they know about the /vg/ General and their spanking fetish.

They probably ARE the /vg/ general.

>translation thread
>expecting no weeb shit

You are dumb.

Who said I wasn't expecting it?

Why bother calling it out then?

Good thing Spidahman saved the day
They must pay for Bruce's fate

YOU HAVE NO CHANCE TO SURVIVE MAKE YOUR TIME

To tell them to get out.

I can see you're not the brightest...

>Do you want something, Manchild?

My sides

youtube.com/watch?v=khmudXrDemU

that's from Orden's slightly fixed version, right?

It's not the translators fault in IF's case, it's the editors.

Yeah, it is. Other than that it's a good translation.

I can't into anything besides english, I failed spanish three years in a row back in high school for fucks sake.

Written alphabet aside, Japanese is one of the easier languages to learn
