Personally I think it looks A E S T H E T I C as fuck, and I'm in shock that Sega - even with Taxman's help - have essentially made a proper Sonic 4, even if it's two decades late.

I had a thought the other day.

Taxman is literally saving Sonic.
It kinda sucks for the rest of the Mania team that they don't get near the recognition Whitehead does but think about it.
He set this whole thing in motion with CD 2011, establishing himself with Sega porting over both 1 and 2, which has lead to this.

I like how Sonic Mania looks like it's using SEGA CD and SEGA 32x tech to allow for the fluid motion and effects, in a way to say that this is the kind of Sonic game we should have had exactly twenty years ago.

It's fine. The same retards that bitched about green eyes are at it again for Sonic being too cyan, but for the rest of the world it's great.

I hate green eyes but I'm not bothered by cyan.
One literally changes his design, the other is just a change of hue. It matches the 32x style of the game.

After the great evolution with Unleashed, Colors and then Generation, we literally go 3 steps back just to pander to nostalgiafags even more. Its really depressing.
