I played and enjoyed the other Hitman games.
Is this one really as bad as people are saying?
It just looks fun as far as I've seen.
Is it maybe just not worth the 60 dollars they're asking for all chapters?
Hitman 2016
Shit game
Good game
It's fucking shit, scripted lazily made bullshit
Even the interface just pisses me off God I fucking hate this game
It's excellent and a great successor to the best Hitman games (Contracts and Blood Money)
With that said, you're better off waiting until January 2017. It will be actually finished by then. Right now it's still in Early Access and there are still three levels missing.
The business model is shit. The actual game is GOAT.
They just released new info on the next episode. Anyone hype? Looks like that one chapter in Absolution where you pick off Lenny's gang. But one a massive scale in comparison.
>Is this one really as bad as people are saying?
Where?
>Is this one really as bad as people are saying?
literally no one says that, tho.
It's even larger than Sapienza.
Why do people jizz all over Sapienza? Sure, it's a big area, but literally all your objectives are at the same general area, and getting the virus isn't fun, since there are basically only 2 ways to get it: go in and fuck it up or use the usb. they even patched it the ability to shoot it through the glass, so there isn't even that anymore.
Looks like this one will be very different from the others except for the training one.
It rapes my pc even at medium settings thanks to Denuvo (tm). Although I like how beautiful the game is the content leaves a lot to be desired.
>No kill-cam for seeing your targets die in x way
>Weird eye sight thing going on with npcs
>No stair killing
>SA is piss easy now because certain starting points give you the perfect disguise/location
>SA allows you to harm innocents whereas in Blood Money you could only get away with it if you accident killed them
>Less hilarious ragdoll glitches
You should try reading the steam reviews sometime. The majority of highly rated reviews are neckbeards screaming about the business model, no actual mention of the gameplay or anything to do with the game.
>but literally all your objectives are at the same general area
But then there's Marrakesh, that was a the complete opposite, where your objectives are on two opposites of the map. And no one really liked the trek back and forth to kill to targets as far from each other as they can and run. And if you so clearly want to handle the targets outside their usual area, you can drag out the woman using the PI Detective and meet her at the docks for one method.
>basically only 2 ways to get it
Do you simply rely on the opportunities guide to help you? It's still very possible to hit through the glass, just not with the pistols because of said nerf/buff. And even then, there are people still finding alt ways to take it out, you're just reaching your creativity.
Sapienza was the culmination effort on how does a horizontally expansive map should be done (so far) in terms of exploration and methods, it also hits nostalgia fags hard being reminiscent to A Vintage Year. There's so many elusive target hits in that area too to give even more incentive to explore. Don't forget the summer bonus episode too.
Or play Bangkok. That is also a nice to touch to previous Hotel hits.
It's the new ethical meme to bash on the game without even playing it. Anyone who's bought it or looking forward to the complete release when the game is properly completed are glowing positive how it looks right now. Despite the episodic release formula they have in store for us right now, it's a really damn fine game.
Another note, don't think the bashing will end. They announced a "season 2" to the game. So that probably means this business structure is working in their favor.
Thank you for Correcting the Record.
Thank you for everyone's feedback.
I think I will do as some have said here and get the game on January.
Not very thrilled about Denuvo, because of how these games run on my computer, but the game itself looks like a lot of fun.
They're probably doing another round of Elusive Targets for those who weren't around for the monthly releases. So I doubt they'll be missing anything. This is also good for me, I missed "The Twins" hit a while back during a vacation.
No one likes Denuvo, user. But a good game is appreciated whenever Sup Forums sees one. I'm looking forward to the proper crack of DOOM myself.
As for Hitman, the sooner you jump in, the sooner you'll get to getting a chance at Elusive Targets. There's a reward for 5 hits, 10 hits, and I think it was 13-15(?) hits. They come with some operator as fuck 47 Suits. Because optional wear is a thing now to the series.
Hmm... tempting...
...
It's better than all of them bar Blood Money.
Why would optional suits matter when you're wearing a disguise within the first 3 minutes?
>being this much of a casual
CASUAL
I won't sugarcoat it for you, this is how the mode works:
SE releases new, one chance, one-time only hits for a set amount of time, usually up to 2 days.
These hits can take place in any episode so you're expected to have the season pass or wait for contracts to be in the areas you have.
You die, you don't get a second chance. You do it, you get rewarded based on how many you've done so far, there's extra experience boost if you complete it with a Silent Assassin ranking.
Because unlocks are based how much levels of "mastery" you have over the levels, which are gained via experience by completing challenges. It's easy enough to understand what that is when you start playing.
Because Suit Only runs exist? Also it looks pretty cool.
>I'm looking forward to the proper crack of DOOM myself.
what's wrong with the one that's out?
I can't afford it. But I'm willing to properly buy it when it goes cheaper. I know that doesn't sound realistic but I've done that with most Single Player games at launch and it works for me.
And nothing of value was at lost, if you miss a target it won't be the end of the world. The article and the full release states that this doesn't mean they'll stop making more targets, everyone will get an opportunity to try it out. It just means you lost your chance at the ones before.
It's like a rare event in an MMO or any net game gooks put out.
huh? i meant the doom crack that came out yesterday.
I wish they would have made the elusive targets more player based. like, if you missed the target in Paris, he'll show up for you in Sapienza a month later or something.
4 targets in the upcoming chapter?!
Since when did Lenny's level had military dudes with assault rifles? A level set in a rural town would've been much better than this militarized farm bullshit they're pulling off.
It'd go against their pledge then at offering you new targets. The whole concept is that you have once chance at making your mark at him and you better make it count. I wouldn't look at then as collectables, just targets than can be hit if you're there at the right time and place.
Didn't take much more of a glance until you said so. Whatever, it's our first infiltration-type hit in this game. Bloody Money and games prior had these types too. Just not ever set in this particular setting. I'm looking forward to it.
SASO Speedrunfags are gonna have a field day with this episode. And so soon too, remember how long it took for Bangkok?
haven't checked because i still haven't been able to beat the level nicely
i'm a casual
Poison Ken Morgan with the first dish he eats, it's always the same first one, once you know and done it, move on to Cross, take a Recording Crew disguise and kill him when he's in the recording booth. Easy SA right there.
not sa, you get recorded out the ass on your way to the recording booth.
Get a security disguise and move your way to the back of the hotel, where the Tuk Tuk vehicles is, there's another surveillance room you can use to get rid of the evidence you made. You can get a disguise by coin distracting a hotel staff into your suite, let him see a gun on the floor and he'll call for a single guard to pick it up. It's poetry from there.
Coin distract the three guards in the room at a good spot so you can run over and delete it, shooting the box will alert them.
Also it is entirely possible to not get spotted with a camera with the strat I told you. It's sorta complicated with the method I used but it worked for me, sorta retarded to type out here.
I could go into detail right now how I did my SASO strat if you want, it's really easier than you think.
I only tried the intro pack so far but was pretty happy with it. Huge step up from Absolution even if the business model is shit.
In a way, it's a good way for people new to the series to keep playing the same levels, make them do challenges for unlocks as time for a new level shows up. And the feedback SE gets from people actively playing their game as the months go by has really changed a lot of the game from what I noticed, from launch to now, the game has made lots of improvements and touch-ups.
>Is this one really as bad as people are saying?
People don"t say that.
It's already as good as Blood Money and is shaping up to be the best Hitman game.
the coin makes a clink sound when you throw it in sand.
