Was going First Person the right move?

Was going First Person the right move?

I'm gonna watch gameplay of and see if it's worth it because capcom makes shit games that all feel the same nowadays

> because capcom makes shit games that all feel the same nowadays

What? Say what you will about Capcom but they're one of the few that make their different games feel notably different.

Please dont be Outlast

I hope they pull of a better amnesia or hell an isolation.

They need to get that level just between isolation and normal resident evil.

I liked Outlast a lot. Don't understand the hate for it. It was better than Amnesia and many other games of its ilk. The ending sealed the deal, made the game great, yet I hear people hated the ending. I loved how ever thing that happened was for a reason that lead up to something instead of ass pulls and TWEESTS.

If it plays somewhat like a classic Resident Evil game then I see no problem.

>Proper combat with guns and melee weapons.

It's already nothing like Outlast.

Logos still cool

Anything would be better than RE4,5,6

Yes ps360 kids, you killed Resident Evil.

>was turning RE into youtube celeb bait the right move

I think we know the answer.

>Yes ps360 kids, you killed Resident Evil.

No, people not buying old Resident Evil killed Resident Evil.

Didn't the remakes do incredibly well.

>Anything would be better than RE4

Y....yes but gears of war Resident evil > old and boring Residents evil

I mean, you can even drop items and the camera is shit lol. And why no savepoints?

the only reason I play RE is because of the extra modes

Tofu, extreme battle, mercenaries, raid mode, elimination etc etc etc

it sounds like that this game would have none of that

Also, RE 5 Mercenaries No Mercy is better and much more intense and enjoyable than RE 6 Mercenaries No Mercy

RE7 is right on time for the next phase of horror games.
OG horror games were basically puzzle/adventure games with the threat of spooky ghosts, like the first Resident Evils, Silent Hills, Clock Tower et cetera.
Then with RE4 they just became third person shooters with jump scares, like Dead Space.
Then Amnesia+Penumbra made every horror game into some sort of hide and seek simulator, like Outlast and every single horror indie game.
Finally, PT has given us true psychological horror in game form, by combining elements of both the first and third phases of horror games: a game in which the atmosphere and environment are the true terrors, and the only threats are perceived. RE7 is going to be the first full realization of this new horror genre.

I liked 4 56 and rev 2. And if they made more like them I would get them. I don't care if I killed the series, it benefits me.

>Didn't the remakes do incredibly well.

Only after they got re-released. RE4 went action because REmake originally bombed hard as fuck.

watch how they'll be no memorable characters with there only being slight eater eggs that mention some of the old cast

Maybe because it was nintendo exclusive.

Resident Evil sales were down in general.

Also, RE4 was also a Gamecube exclusive for a long time, it still had massive success. People were just tired of old Resident Evil.
