Anyone else hoping that a new AvP game would let you play from the facehugger level as the Alien? I found that to be the best approach really.
Anyone else hoping that a new AvP game would let you play from the facehugger level as the Alien...
AvP2 already had that. To be honest it was a pretty tedious stealth level.
I would like an alien title where you had to supply humans and other animals for the hive.
How come the Alien levels in all of the AvP games were the shortest compared to the Marines and Predators?
I know AvP 2 had that.
That's why I brought it up.
Not much you could do as an Alien, other than stalk and kill.
>other than stalk and kill
What more is there to life?
They have the most simple playstyle and no arsenal to unlock along the way. Hard to keep things fresh for long.
AvP 2010's Alien and Predator campaigns were fucking awesome.
>There will never be an Aliens 'dungeon keeper' style hive building game
While true about keeping things fresh, however, why didn't they just allow the final couple of missions for you to be the Alien Queen while going on a huge rampage instead of the usual stalk/stealth gameplay? Strange how none of the games did this.
The first 2 chapters of the Marines campaign was also excellent. Atmosphere was just spot on. After you destroy the queen, the rest is mediocre though.
>Golden age Rare will never make a 3D platformer where you play as a facehugger complete with Banjo/Conker style chirpy music
>instead of Jiggys you look for beings to impregnate
>tfw not enough facehugger porn
I enjoyed the many executions.
AvP2 is still the best action oriented Aliens game
The end of Alien's campaign in AvP 2010 has you become a Queen in some ship. But that's only a cutscene, nothing you can play.
>that one alien execution where the tail comes up through their mouth
Still strange how Fox won't make a release for it. I can't find it anywhere.
Still waiting for a sequel to the AvP game from 5 or 6 years ago. That shit was awesome and had a cliffhanger ending. I wish they'd put AvP 2 on Steam and GOG as well.
>there will never be a dungeon keeper style anything
AvP2010 was utter shit
What annoyed me the most was how someone gave the chance of making a new AVP game to Gearbox instead of Monolith Productions, they already gave Rebellion a second go with AvP 2010, a second go for Monolith would've been nice, instead of giving it to those scam artists at Randy Pitchfraud & Co.
I'm surprised that there isn't a GOG version of the game, considering that the first one is available over there.
Yeah, it did.
Predator ending tells you they're headed for the Xenomorph homeworld.
I should really get around to recording those as well.
Did Sup Forums ever get that AvP2 server thing going? How interested do you think anons would be in that if someone would get it going?
It was actually great, but you're entitled to whatever wrong opinions you want.
I wouldn't say it was utter shit, but it was mediocre. I had enough fun with it tbqh.
