yes

Story+characters+lack of karma+shitty dialogs aside it was a pretty gud game

Y: THAT BAD?
X: WAS ALL RIGHT
B: HATE FALLOUT 4
A: LOVED IT

( B ) HATE NEWSPAPERS

the build your own robot DLC was cool but then again I had to spend gud goy bucks to get it.

Depends on who you ask, I guess. I actually had a pretty good time with it. Not as much as earlier Fallouts, but still, had fun playing it.

Bad?

was it bad? no

was it good? no

But you've could've just downloaded all the DLC for free without any repercussions.

Y: yes
X: sarcastic yes
B: no (yes)
A: yeah

It's old but I think this screenshot is from a story mission with the mutant, Virgil. Notice how only one option could possibly turn him down. That option leads to him giving some excuse and forcing the quest down your throat. Literally no escape.

Yes.

I don't know, a lack of karma was really liberating; besides, it was dunb as fuck in New Vegas.
>wipe out entire camp
>you're good
>take their stuff afterwards
>YOU MONSTER

Of course straight up copying some of the most popular mods for F3 and NV is good content, but it is also a certificate of creative bankruptcy.

Okay, but without virgil's specs the main quest breaks and you'll never ever reach the institute because he's literally the only one who knows how to design the teleporter.

If you want to turn him down, don't go to him. The quest is equally broken.

the PC version controls...JUST

So why are people either loving or hating nuka world?

It seems neat and being "in charge" of raiders is fun.

I dont like new vegas, in Fallout 3 karma system was pretty gud

I think the problem comes down to how little content it offers for the asking price. Some people don't mind but it really bothers me, can't believe they upped the price of the Season Pass to release these dissapointing DLCs, the only good one was Far Harbor, which you can buy by itself for half the price of the Season Pass.

Maybe, I wouldn't know.

Havent played it yet but fuck raiders, i hope there is an option to kill them

Nothing it is was objectively good; not the graphics who were moldy for 4 years ago, not the UI which is shit even for consoles, not the sound which was aenemic, not the combat, which was better than its predecessors, which is no achievement.
Most of it was okay, but nothing in it was more than that.
Story and Dialogue are both incredibly shitty. Quests are stupid.
The only thing it does right is providing instant gratification without lasting appeal.
>take away all its flaws and it is a pretty good game

Because it's only the second story DLC and it's shit, also it's the final DLC and it's shit.

>moldy for 4 years ago
EVEN 4 years ago.

Yep, do all the quests until right before you have to take over a Commonwealth place for the loot and experience then murder them all.

There is, when you reach the place head to a market and a lady will offer the quest to you.

Choosing "No" should turn him down until I go talk to him again. That option shouldn't force update the quest if I don't want to do what he asks.

The gunplay+looks+customization+character looks are good and make the game enjoyable

There is. You can kill them all.

You can even turn on them if you choose to lead them and kill the raiders both in nuka world and in the commonwealth.

they announced a second season pass, didnt they?

unfortunately no, no matter what you do, you can't kill Preston without a mod

its better to just leave him in Concord and never speak to him

the good news is that you can destroy every wasteland settlement and fill it with your raider followers, and then kill them, so it all works out in the end

Gameplay and items were better while everything was beyond awful. As soon as shooting gets boring the game offers no incentive to keep playing. For an open world, that's beyond pathetic.

He gives you an item and nothing changes aside from the update... it doesn't affect you in any way, you aren't forced to continue the quest.

The biggest inconvenience is saving yourself an extra trip into the glow.

Not to people who would want an exploration/story/character RPG to be more about said exploration/story/character than about superficial gunplay+looks+customization+character, and I assume your character is more about looks than about development.

where did the crazy scientist in nuka world obtain FEV to create not-deathclaws

Oh wow ANOTHER $30 for shit. I paid $30 for 4 story DLC, like they did in Fallout 3. Not shit that should have been in the base game or shit that fixed the broken game.

Well shit.
Is there a way to introduce the raiders to the commonwealth without fucking up your standing?

>customization
of the guns maybe. It's horrible rpg wise.

As soon as the gunplay gets boring the game is over. It might be fun to shoot things for a few hours but nothing about the world, the story, the characters, or building your character is interesting. They stripped out everything that would make a person remotely interested in continuing to play.

Hah, No. You mean make them peace keepers? Fighting other raiders? Mercenaries? Hah, what, did you expect good writing? Good one.

Its not as bad as you trying to paint it

it's just not a Fallout game

I was hoping that modders would fix it. No dice.

I got hyped for FO4 and was fairly disappointed in it after playing all the way through. Thought about doing the season pass because there've definitely been a few good DLCs in Bethesda games, and holy shit I'm glad I didn't get it; it just looked like a bunch of add-ons to the part of the game I hated most, which was settlement building. The dumbest thing about it is that anything that came out in those settlement DLCs would probably have been made within a year by the modding community anyway.

>was
The disappointments and devtime aren't over

reminder that mods on PS4 still aren't out and anyone who was dumb enough to buy that version of the game is missing an entire feature.

>choices
>in an RPG

stop living in the past, people want to explode deathclaws using power armor and we can't let such tripe as decisions get in the way

I actually like Bethesda RPGs
But when I played Fallout 4, it just was really bad. I couldn't get into it at all. It felt so formless and ungraceful in its plot structure and characters that it pushed me away right from the start with that Garvey guy and his quests.
The shooting felt kind of good though.

it definitely wasn't the New Vegas on drugs people were expecting
I'd say it was 5/10

No, it was even worse

>30 hours in
>purposefully avoiding the MQ, and most of the bigger quests
>explored most of the map
>found most settlements, added basic stuff like defense
So, now what? Getting kind of bored already.

ending was shit but exploration and side stuff was fun. Very bad to non existent role playing. Overall 6 / 10 for me.

Not him but it is. You just haven't played enough Beth games to know any better. Every iteration something is removed, something is simplified, something is shortened, something is overlooked.
They've nosedived since Arena and by your 3rd game this really should be hitting you hard.

But hey it looks great, innit?

>Kill a guy
>You lost karma
>Kill another guy
>You lost karma
>Kill the first guy before he kills the second guy
>You lost karma
>Let the first guy kill the second guy
>You gained karma
>???

yes, yes it was. one of the few games that i haven't bothered finished just because the game sucked so much

what exactly about the gameplay was better than fo3/nv ?

not him but you may call me what you will but i've always believed that the basegame should be good. dlc's won't save a shitty game, it just polishes the turd

Fallout 4 is not an RPG.

well you have at least 370 more hours left :^)

yes

>very few skill checks
>90% of conversations end on the same note the extra options make zero difference
>Perks, perks, perks, perks only no skill stats so leveling felt like a chore rather than a reward
>huge focus on settlements which didn't do shit
>No karma

Haven't played any of the DLC but don't really want to go back to the game. it just wasn't fun to play.

...

...

if that's going to be the crit path there should be another way to reach the same solution. that's how WRPGs and Fallout games in particular work.

...

>FO4 states that the Institute are the boogeyman because of the handful of Gen 3 synth replacements they have done
>Not the fact they have kidnapped thousands upon thousands of people and turned them into super mutants for over 100 years and attacked the surface with them
>Nobody really gives a fuck about this unlimited horde of mutants and seem to think its normal

Why did Bethesda turn super mutants into such a joke? Its almost as bad as the whole DUDE NUKES LMAO joke shit everywhere.

...

KEK

...

...

>Was it really THAT bad?

>Institute has huge problem with robot slaves gaining sentience and rebelling and they can't find a way to stop it
>They decide the best solution is to make more robot slaves except they are super combat robot slaves to hunt down rebellious robot slaves and these super combat robot slaves don't have the rebellion risk because reasons so its a perfect solution

what the fuck are you doing bethesda
