They're both good but when fully upgraded the Red9 can out DPS the Blacktail, which makes jt objectively better. I barely used anything else on my NG+ run.

In the GameCube version it's a tossup between firing speed and power/accuracy

In the later releases red9 is objectively better because of a power buff

TMP is the best light gun you could carry, no reason to have shitty pistols.

Not saying it's not a good gun but there's no need to even aim since ammo is so plentiful for it, just put it around leg height and hold the trigger down

you got that backwards, blacktail has higher dps. the red9 is what you use if you can land headshots on 90% of enemies.

Blacktail all the way, less inventory space, fastest handgun in the game, handles the best even better than Red9 with it's stock, largest clip size, sexy G18 design.

Red9 is bulky and takes more inventory, slowest handgun, handles like shit without the stock, stock takes more inventory, poor clip size, ugly as shit German Mauser. B-BUT MUH DAMAGE scrub gun may as well just use the handcannon the entire game if you're that shit at it.

I just use whatever looks coolest. Pump action and revolver were my favorite cause I ain't no bitch

Blacktail is patrician once you're comfortable with the game, but the legendary first playthrough of fully upgraded Red9/Striker/Broken Butterfly that just about everyone did kinda cemented the Red9 as the memorable handgun from RE4. Well, besides the Unlimited Handcannon.

Truth is, just about every gun in the game feels good and has a unique feedback. One of the reasons RE4 keeps its playability is how good the guns are.
