The game has undergone a shitload of patching. The reviews said it was a good game buried under technical issues. A majority of which have been fixed. Only idiots like Jim Sterling said it was "shit."

Battlefield Hardline is a great game, but it's not an open world FPS game. How are they even vaguely comparable?

I've seen that review too fellow DSP fan! Our guy DSP ripped this game a new one, the video went viral and he got lots of new fans putting DSP back on the map.

I wonder if DSP will review the game now that it runs at 30fps instead of 15fps on PS4, or whether he'll be too scared of losing his newfound edgy mystique.

lolno, he is like any other reviewer where they only review the initial release, and he didn't even finish the game but I really doubt he would go back to it, unless he wants to double down and call it shit a second time in order to get more views.

Actually, truly professional reviewers wait a few months, and if the game has clearly improved via patching, they go back do a new review. But I think the problem is that for Youtubers, "The game isn't a broken mess anymore" doesn't attract anywhere near as many views as "IS THIS THE WORST GAME OF ALL TIME? DID THIS GAME GIVE ME ASS CANCER?"

Cracking the game would have been pointless because it's being patched so much and the DLC hasn't come out yet.

With Denuvo, you have to manually patch the executable, and every time the game gets updated, the executable changes. For example, if Fallout 4 had Denuvo, nobody would have bothered trying to crack it for at least six months.

Hardline's campaign is fantastic. One of the few unique FPS games made in the past few years.

Ehh, those trees look awful, but I have of yet to find a game that does trees particularly well.
