I've always been a huge fan of Day of Reckoning and Day of Reckoning 2. Both of them were super good games, but unfortunately got ignored and overlooked because they were Gamecube exclusives.

Fire Pro is probably my favorite series honestly when it comes to wrestling

Day of reckoning 2 is one of the best 4 player games ever on a console

But the Saturn version was the best as you can actually do a 6 man tag team.

DoR2 was fun as fuck. i spent HOURS creating custom characters with move sets and designing intros and shit

The character creator in most wrestling games are way better than they deserve to be.

Been looking for that forever and nothing has worked, mamehub was the closet thing but the multiplayer for 6 didn't work. Very fortunate I played this with my freinds on a Saturn with the Remote Play that allowed you to play Japanese games on an US Saturn.

I've heard both from friends and from Sup Forums that this game is "easy to play, hard to master", is that true?

yes, the controls are universal so your Level 1 special is L+X, level 2 L+Y, and Level 3 L+R. so you don't have to learn what every character does necessarily but you need to know their normals, grapples, and specials in the sense like, Jaeger has a burning hand swipe as his level 1 and kid muscle has a slow kick but launches the opponent across the ring IIRC.

TD;DR It is easy to play har to master but the hard to master part isn't the controls since they're universal with each character and very arcade like where you can drop in and play.

I will say though, even though he wasn't technically a "wrestler" in the straightforward sense, Shane McMahon had some of the best moments I'd seen when I was watching wrestling growing up. That guy was a wizard at getting his ass kicked.

Vince used to take Ls though, like Austin beating him up in the hospital. Not saying she should be taking Stunners or anything but I haven't seen Steph take any Ls yet in her run as Raw GM.

I hate what 2K has done to the game. sure, it looks amazing, but the "simulation" style gameplay is awful, it's the antithesis of wrasslin.
wrasslin is retarded top rope moves and spammed finishers, take that weakass simulation shit to the UFC

I can still hear McMahon's fantatic commentary in my head.

It was a poor fighter in terms of competitiveness---Taker was the only one with a ranged projectile (and finisher as well)...but it encapsulated what WWF was to me at a ten year old; super over the top gods of men using physical violence to solve their problems.

I mean, she can't compete with Vince roiding out and getting crimson masked, but her authority is constantly undermined, people insult and laugh in her face, her best-laid plans get derailed all the time.

it's a modern version of comeuppance, she's a boss who can't control her employees, it's kind of a meta "The Office" kind of comeuppance.

Trish is based. Retired as the Women's champ and I bet she has that Women's Champ belt on display in her living room. We'll never get another female wrestler just as great as Trish.

I liked the SvR series but i find them way to similar, SvR07 re-introduced crowd fighting in a good way though (because Just Bring It cf was stale as fuck), i liked it.
Also 2010 i think had Custom Finisher, i had fun with that too.
