Dude has excruciating pain all day everyday. Sounds fucking horrible and its sad no doc will take on the task of removing the calcified tendon. No amount of physical therapy is gonna uncalcify that tendon

living with chronic pain, i completely understand wanting to do something to mitigate that.

I'm a Ganon from FL so I get to play with very high level people all the time. I could give you some tips before I go to bed.

I'd call it 80% of the time and rising. My wavelands in general are getting pretty crispy though.

What neutral? The game plan is to be a wall with fair and bairs, and potentially approach with wavedash/land into a jab/tilt

I'm a fairly competent Ganon with a lot of decent competition to play against. But if you think you have any tips to help me out, go for it.

I dunno how you people ledgedash with Ganon it's honestly the hardest thing in the game to time.

Techskill means shit until you reach high level play. I've a basic as fuck fox and I've beaten people better then me with smart neutral play and stage positioning. You might also have terrible DI.

For wii u/smash wii u, is it fairly easy to find friendd, download their miis to your comsole, then implement them into smash?

Shiz is still good but he's still learning the fuck outta the new meta game.

Believe it or not it's easier than it looks. Because ganon can BARELY get above the ledge to do a ledge dash, if you soft release and jump immediately after, you'll get a perfect waveland height every time.

Trying to waveland with any other character is so foreign to me.

How's your tech trap game? Can you chaingrab spacies? Like nobody can do it past 4 times tops anyway

I'd ask for edgeguard stuff but those are well known.
How's your defensive game? Shield DI, SDI, wall-teching and shit.
After learning a lot about Shield DI I get a lot more grabs in neutral, it's very nice.

You develop the muscle memory for it.

It's just that god and it never got a proper sequel.

Feels non-existent at this point. Playing against Flaco/Marth I hardly get any good techs off of walls anymore when I used to be able to. I think my SDI has gotten much worse over time.

Shield DI is also something I don't really play around with, can you give any examples of where it's really good?

shield DI can you get out of consecutive hits of peach dsmash

Shield DI is kind of weird. It works the same as DI but you gotta "hide" the full away input or perform during shield hitlag so you don't start a roll and get hit.
Most common example is the Falco pressure of low Dair>Shine
If you were to shieldgrab it normally the shine would hit, but with shield DI the shine whiffs and you get a grab.
Shield DI is also amazing against Peach's Downsmash, letting you juicy punishes since you get out of it super early (only 1-2 hits connect) so even stomp OoS is an option.

Tons of other moves also become way more punishable with Shield DI. Especially against Marth. Shield DIng Dtilt works wonders.

I actually was gonna try out some locals, there's a few around here, but goddamn I don't wanna just go there and get absolutely destroyed and then leave.

Everyone had to take their lumps to git gud user. You're not gonna be any different. locals have an extremely friendly environment, and a lot of people can help you out as well by giving tips and stuff.

You wanna wd in n out of shield. Upb when you think youll get him. Ftilt nairs. If hes getting you with shine, it means thay he has a read on your movement patterns and spacing. Shine in place lacks range and running shine has a bunch of startup.
Hell dd out of your ftilt, so replace them with low commitment jabs. Or try to catch dd back with projectiles and high commitment fair. Shield will beat all the things that try to catch dash back, so do blockstings.

Smash calls it shield pressure, but that has the connotation of multi-shining for a shield poke. In fightan, blockstings can be trueblockstrings, in which case itll just push back, or frame traps, these are what you wanna do. A frame trap plays with the expectations of a true blockstring, and puts a hitbox out when the opponent believed to be able to act.

Now samus is pretty negative on her blockstrings, but she can still apply pressure on spacies. Her tilits allow her to out range oos options and when push back separates you two, use wd to get back in. Use this moment as a supstitute for true blockstrings, or rather change the moment when you wd back in to continue pressure.

You can play Melee laglessly on a monitor by using a Sewell HDMI adapter. I think they're pretty rare now though.
Faster Melee is also an option. It has less input lag than a CRT

I'll just bring my melee friend from high school with me. At least then I won't be the worst player there.

I'd have to move my Wii into my room as well and it's just a big pain in the ass for the sake of practicing L-canceling.
