Is wildstar not more popular because it's too difficult for the average mmo player?
Is wildstar not more popular because it's too difficult for the average mmo player?
more like because it launched buggy as hell and it takes the devs 9 months to fix anything
it had a bad launch
it has a reputation as buggy
it should have been free to play from the very beginning
so its already low playerbase has lost interest in the game, and new players are scared away because nobody plays it anymore
and it's full of furry shit. fuck that.
That's not unique to wildstar though. Other mmos have been able to carve out a decent niche while wildstar struggles. I'm just curious why? Is it a lack of pedobait race, cartoony visuals, more lighthearted tone?
>it's full of furry shit
Don't blame the game because you played on dominion.
this, i played the beta, submitted tonnes of bugs, and i was stupid enough to expect them to fix and then come launch day, the bugs are still there, one month later, the NPC was still fucking bugged 50% of the time and i left
I wish it was more popular. It's the only mmo out right now I enjoy and there's nothing on the horizon that looks like it could take it's place for me.
I started playing a couple days ago and shit this game is way more fun than it has any right to be. I think the art style might turn a lot of people off. A lot of the humour was geared at ten year olds.
But it's a lot of fun so, you know, I guess it evens out.
>A lot of the humour was geared at ten year olds
It's more like a cartoon that has adult jokes that would fly over a kid's head.
because it had dumb fucking edgy 4th-wall breaking storyline with identical gameplay to ellow Everquest clones, so I would have zero reason to leave SWTOR or WoW or GW2 or ESO
I'll concede that for sure, the granok erotica and some other clever references caught me off guard.
I guess it's just the chua. But Jesus Christ the chua are awful
>edgy 4th-wall breaking storyline
I would describe wildstar as a lot of things but edgy isn't one of them.
Having played Everquest and it's sequel, it's bad form to post about games you've never played kiddo
Sounds familiar...
wildstar is clunky as fuck, its so wonky and hard getting used to movement, to be honest thats what is keeping if from being more popular.
huh, I'm actually offended someone would compare wildstar to battleborn.
Movement is part of what makes wildstar fun. I honestly don't know how someone could have a problem with it, it just feels good.
On release there were also rape squads of bots either flying through the air or under the ground instantly tapping all the resource nodes on the map.
>tfw you've been playing for over 2 years
everquest clones, not everquest itself
>game relaunches on steam
>decide to give it a try
>character creator bugs out
>can't enter world
I gave it a chance and it blew it at step 1.
Why don't you try it again, I'm pretty sure that was fixed.
Sometimes I wonder if I would be happier playing a no-name mmo than WoW. Imagine people get to know each other more.
I really liked it, but none of my friends did, so i had nobody to play with
The playerbase is small enough that aggressive poaching will turn people off to your guild. It's already happened to one.
