Hit mid 20s

>hit mid 20s
>skill in competitive games is nowhere what it used to be
>13 year olds are now kicking my ass and calling me grandpa

its not fair

That's a personal problem user. Lots of great players are past their biological prime. Daigo is 35. Don't blame your age. You scrub.

>30 years old
>Literally at my peak of skill
>Cannot put my skill to use because every game nowadays forces """""""""teamwork""""""""" on you, or otherwise limits your ability to do well by yourself
>All these years and i'm still playing Quake fucking 3 browser edition and counter strike.
Free-for-all and arena combat is dead, long live the new king: Press Q To Win

>mid 20s
>still playing video games

You're meant to beat them with tactics and intelligence, you're just a scrub

>against teamwork
>plays counter strike
Please stop playing counter strike.

I bet you also fell for the "you can be too old for Sup Forums" meme

The fuck are you playing?

Kids pick the cheapest easiest fuckwit class/character/etc learn to beat that and crush their dreams more than public school. Go back and train on old games that actually will beat your ass. Quake railgun only and come out a boss.

Take note of the multiple quotation marks.

I'm talking about class-based garbage where you absolutely have to have a "healer" tonguing your rectum or some other arbitrary bullshit like "your gun doesn't work against that class sorry nigga hard counter"

Fuck that, Illya thread. You fags rolling for her?

Yes, but of course I didn't get her.
Fuck these Angelica CEs, no idea why this slut keeps coming to me.

>Under 18.
>Posting on Sup Forums.

>30 years old
>uses multiple quotation marks like some newfag teenager
Sure, kid.

I probably got two rolls left in me from event drops. I'm really starting to despair here, I don't think i'll be able to roll her.

i could beat the shit out of my teenage self at any game
im 24

I blame matchmaking.

10 years back you'd mostly play servers, so you'd face off against a spectrum of people, most of them shit. If you learned quickly, you'd see yourself improve amazingly.

Now you just play matchmaking, and if you improve, you don't really see any results. You just get put into situations where you win half the time regardless of what you do.

At least the event seems to be heavily hinting at a second part in the future, so there might be another chance to roll her.

you have to use your wisdom to supplment your loss of reflexes

I really hope so. I had to scrape what little I could up for the event since I spent all my quartz on swimsuit. So mad they just stealthed in the Illya event like that right after the swimsuit.

That's just you. The best fighting game players in the world are late 20s or early to mid 30s.

The SSBM dudes are in their mid 20s and their skill only ever increases.

I'm 24 and way better at the vidya now than when I was young. If you are gaining in intelligence & wisdom, how could you be getting worse at something you've done since a kid?

Probably because SSBM takes no skill. He was probably playing actual games.

Have you tried explaining the ennui of adulthood and how there is no hope for any of them and that they might as well enjoy video games while they still can before their obligations and responsibilities absorb all the joy from their lives and leave them no time to do the things they enjoy?

You lost when you started caring

Check out diabolical. It's a quake style game in the making. It also has some promising esports people behind it.

obligatory defense post

If you're talking about overwatch, you can always beat a hard counter with better strats. You can't beat them in a fucking 1v1 cage match, sure, but if you put yourself in that position you don't have skill.

CSGO doesn't require much team work at all.

You play your position, and that's that. Very little communication or team work required.

Plus you can win a 1v5, which just isn't possible in most games with """"""teamwork""""""

>hit mid 20s
>life is going nowhere
>play vidya games instead
JUST

>very little communication required

So this is what the average CS:GO player thinks?
No wonder matchmaking is full of fucking morons who can't play.

>be mid 20
>bore of vidya
>dont know what else to do
>just shitpost on Sup Forums instead

this

No, they just rig every possible tournament rule in their favor. Floating through pools, private VIP lounges/bathrooms, etc. Long tournaments are as much a test of stamina as they are of skill at the game and the top Melee players aren't expected to push themselves nearly as hard as everyone else. When it comes time for top 32/top 16, they're well-rested and have had all the time in the world to warm up while everyone else has been up through crazy hours playing their hardest all weekend.

Fuck the Melee "gods." They're a bunch of self-important pussies.

Infiltration started playing in his mid twenties and won Evo in his late twenties, he also just won Evo at 31.

What's not fair is that you're still a virgin at 25. Really makes you think, huh?

Your age isn't hindering you in video games, you complete moron.

If there are 27 year old athletes reaching their prime, then surely you dwiddling your fucking thumbs and pressing buttons will suffer minimal performance loss.

>this
>be 28.5 instead of mid 20s

J U S T 2: dark thoughts at night

>30 years old
>uses multiple quotation marks like some newfag teenager
>just trying to fit in with neo Sup Forums

If you're over 18 and still playing video games you should end yourself. Go to university or something, just do something with your life. Your laziness has to stop

>back when I was 15/16 in 2008
>played CoD4 a lot.
>always topped the scoreboard
>played clan battles, rarely lost matches despite having no tactics with my team

>24 now
>haven't played online FPS in years
>picked up R6 Siege on a whim
>got really into the MP, ended the last season with a diamond rank
>had more clutches than hot dinners

I think my reaction speeds is still on point.

Daigo has been really slacking off lately. He's ready to retire.
