I started doing this recently
>blind run of a game til the last boss
>go for the trophies
>realize you missed a lot of shit
>Beat game
>Go into Sup Forums thread to talk about it
>Realise you fucked up the story and made all the wrong choices
>speedrun is full of exploits
>the guy who speedruns say: I'm really good at this game
If you don't want that, watch a run with "glitchless" in the category name, you idiot.
>go to Sup Forums
>be a cancerous frogposter
>go to Sup Forums
>be mean AND unfunny
thats how literally everyone does speedruns, and they usually are pretty hard to pull off
>beat a game
>watch a speedrun of it
>realize you were going embarrassingly slow even for a non-speedrun
>first time playing a game
>do it as fast as possible
>beat a game
>read the wikipedia article
>beat a game
>30 hours, wew I sure took my time
>look up an LP
>"Any% (Part 1 of 119)"
>Each part is an hour long
If you use a glitch while speedrunning it's not a real speedrun.
well im sure your opinion is well-respected within the speedrun community
Oh, you people never fail to crack me up.
>bird owns a hat
>I don't
Am I less than a bird?
*grinchposter
I'm sure the "speedrun community's" opinion matters to anyone over the age of 16.
Birds are worth a lot, and are pretty cool.
Don't beat yourself up over it, man.
well i guess you can have your own personal definition of a speedrun if you want, but people sure care a hell of a lot more about the community opinion than the opinion of a random NEET on Sup Forums
Yes!
speedruns. done by autistics for autistics. pathetic.
Holy shoot, idiots like you never fail to pop up. The goal is to go fast as possible using methods allowed by the game. Whether these methods were intended by the developers or not doesn't matter.
>beat the game
>look other endings on youtube
I spedrun duke nukem 3d in less than a minutes, it was easy when using CHEATS
I do this too.
The only games I've actually gone back to get all the endings myself are Catherine, and Nier, as far as I remember.
I did this recently with Fire Emblem RD. It's pretty hilarious how much the strength of axes and wyvern riders blows the game wide open. No bugs or exploits either unlike the JP version of PoR that has the 255 crit glitch.
I can see why.
>be a speedrunner
>grinding a new game
>that phase before you're shaving off mere seconds
>routing shit, trying to find time saves
I miss caring.
>currently doing Alucard CV3
>consult pic
>beat game
>look up secret ending so i don't need to 100% it
>beat game
>can finally watch reviews with spoilers and laugh at the "in" jokes and references
Literally me.
What the fuck OP?
>Realize there were missable trophies
>Now its a whole new run or nothing
I like to get platinums but the fact that there are missable tropies in some games really stresses me out
>beat game
>watch a review for said game
Literally this.
>beat a game
>rush to Sup Forums to call it shit
