Going a bit slow, but one of the games I play isn't great for channel growth, but is something my regular viewers like. Still, I guess for how low my follower count is, my concurrent regular viewers is quite high.

No, that's mostly "variety" and "personality" streamers. The people who are actually good a game, like top pros and serious speedrunners, focus on the game and occasionally interact with chat. They never have bullshit like text to speech donations.
