The models look top tier, honestly. Like true animu 2D -> 3D

it's fun BUT the further you advance, the longer the battle becomes because they didn't allow people to skipp/fast forward the animations.
And it gets worse at some point when some enemies break your combos midway so instead of one clean 11 hit you do 3 time 5 hits to kill shit

the game in general looks very pretty, especially considering the hardware it runs on

Based on the 'it's fun' meme. It's a word used by people who don't have anything particularly bad to say about the game but also have nothing particularly good to say about it aside from being fun.
This 'meme' as you say has been proven right in many games in my experience.

And many others that I fell for in all my years in this place. Granted 7/10 games aren't bad so there's no need to be so defensive, I just don't think a 7/10 at best RPG is worth my investment in it.

Neptunia, DoD3, DmC and Senran Kagura aren't fun, though, those are all trash games with tons of mechanical issues made by incompetent devs.

TMS is nothing like that, at least in that sense.

It's a good filler game if you're waiting on Persona 5 to come out.
