I'm immensely happy with it. It probably will be the last deciding factor for me getting a PSTV. Might be the only physical game I own on the console too.

Looks miles better than FFXV as well at this point.

Yeah it looks great, not just visually. Seems too have a lot of conctent and nice fanservice that doesn't take itself too seriously

I hardly looked into this until I found out it was a Pokemon clone (thought it was gonna be more like type=0 so I was just gonna pass it), but now I think I'll definitely get it.

Only thing is I have a PS4 and a Vita, and I play Vita a lot at work (paramedic, a lot of down time in the rig), so is there really anything that makes the PS4 version better aside from the usual graphics, fps, etc? Or are they the same game like usual and I'm safe with the Vita version? Heard something about being able to switch from chibi to normal graphics but only on the PS4 version.

I won't buy it Day 1 because I bet it'll be shallow as fuck and like only 15 hours long. I'll wait to see what others have to say first. It smells of Bravely Default / Second, which are terrible games that also try to appeal to the nostalgia we have for old FF.

The MCs don't really seem important, they're Dr. Watsons -- there as a device to act as a bridge between you and the setting. Which is preferable, imo, to a detailed character and original story, shoehorned into a zany multiverse fan service game.

Of course they're important. You play as them for the whole game. It's not like Vaan in FFXII who just gives a perspective. The story involves them directly. The game DOES have an orignal story. Did you watch the presentations on the game?
