Now that the dust has settled, do you agree the Xbox 360 was one of the best consoles ever made?
Now that the dust has settled, do you agree the Xbox 360 was one of the best consoles ever made?
>one of the highest failure rates of any major electronic device ever
No.
I remember I wanted to get one when I was younger because everyone else had one, so I made a list of games I'd get for it. The list only had like 7 titles with Tron and Bomberman Act Zero among them.
Of course I didn't buy it.
>Bomberman Act Zero
Jesus, user. Were like 12 when the Xbox 360 came along? Do you even know what Bomberman looks like?
Technically this but at least MS solved it better than Sony.
MS had door2dood no question warranty whether PS3 were also dying either bricked by firmware update or due to to weak laser and Sony even had a mass law suit coming because people started to suspect they intentionally made it so shitty.
My xbox 360 was the only console I've ever sold. Fuck that pile of shit.
Yes. Bomberman 64 was pretty great.
PS3 or Wii give your take.
We all know the real winner is the Dsi
PS3 was good, but the whole generation was just a massive shitshow until the revised consoles launched.
Wii was just an insult, but fuck if it isn't one of the best cheap as fuck pirate machines out there.
It's one of the worst consoles ever from the second worst console generation of all time. And then there's also this problem:
So, no, I don't agree. It's a really bad console and I regret getting one.
Ps2 launch had huge failure rate that sony didnt acknowledge and told you to go fuck yourself if you got the disc read errors. Internet wasnt what it was today nor was game industry as big so no one really heard much.
>meh library
>RRoD
No. Are you retarded?
In a way. It was decent because the competition fucked up, making 360 the primary platform for most devs.
I got a PS2 at launch and it still works fine. Meanwhile I went through 3 360s before I decided to never buy a Microsoft console again.
PS2 literally in the single digit failure rate.
Xbox 360 was in the double digits.
30% Never forget. Besides i still have my launch ps2 sitting right there.
Nah. It wasn't terrible, but it was an overall net negative for the industry.
Paid online.
Micro transactions.
Kinect.
"Gamer culture"
All from the Petri dish that was the 360.
shit console
Total conjecture, what the hell?
Had to go 2yrs without a working ps2. Shit sucked luckily i had a GameCube.
You mean it was one of the worst consoles and that even compared to the ps3, another horrible console
The original PS2 did have the glaring issue that blue-bottom (CD-based) PS2 games were sketchy. That was pretty stupid of Sony.
Same here. At least the first two times my 360 died it was within warranty and I got the systems replaced. Now the system has died for a third time and I can't be arsed to fix it or get a new one. I simply won't buy another Microsoft system ever again. All of my other systems are still working, even my fucking Master System II.
>I got a PS2 at launch and it still works fine
then you are are truly blessed. I'm on my third, I don't know a single person with a PS2 that still works. disc read errors everywhere
I have an SCPH-30000 (I forget the exact model number but it's one of the first-generation PS2s) I bought at a thrift store.
Not only does it still work, the guy modded it so I can play all my burnt games without needing Free McBoot. The only problem is the disc tray is a bit wimpy, which I intend to have fixed at some point. It also came with a network adapter so I can even experiment with HDD loading if I want to (I don't trust it, though).
This may be the right thread, I just bought an xbox 360 off a friend, looking for any good games but couch co op is
definitely a plus. I have a PC, so exclusives and other games that never came out for PC are what I'm looking for.
games I have so far:
Red Dead Redemption
GTA4 + LCS (because it may as fucking well be exclusive)
Gears 2
Halo 3
What am I missing lads? Should I get the MGS trilogy, or is ps2 emulation good enough for me to just play that on my computer, considering that I have a high end processor
Great multiplat machine until about 2009. After that, it didn't really have any exclusives or anything.
>being this young
you shit ass faggot, of course you would.
Vanquish, if you like TPS games.
Thanks man, that game look like some good fun.
