I never got that far in this game.

I think I own it now, I can't remember.

It actually is Goldeneye and only a complete pleb would believe otherwise.

perfect dark

Nightfire, best weapons, best maps.

Nightfire.

The Nightfire MP is fucking great.
>dat remote control missile launcher

>name one video game that wasn't released in the last 60 years.

>ha, you newfags can't get anything right!

Ajemt u der fire

I remember enjoying it a lot

But I also really liked the Tomorrow Never Dies game as well

>tfw couldnt finish the coop cuz too hard

Ggoldeneye was obsolete after Perfect Dark

Jackie Chan was never officially released.

It's Bloodstone, fuck you nostalgia goobers.

Classical but very solid TPS.

HITMAN

perfect dark

TWINE on N64

not bond tho?

The good bond games were GE, TWINE, NightFire, EON, and GE Wii. The best to me will always be NightFire.

...

Will we ever get a new 007 game, I want a new one so badly.

Perfect Dark is basically the sequel to Goldeneye.

Nigthfires a close second to goldeneye

>tfw your friend tells you only like Nightfire due to nostalgia and it's not a good game, and you learn the truth

I am so glad I'm not the only one who fucking loves NightFire, fuck my friend

>these plebs never played From Russia with Love
What a shame

Good game but not as good as EON.

don't forget about me!

EoN is by far the best

The variety of missons far surpasses the generic fps trash that is goldeneye and nightfire

>tfw try to play
>get to remote control level, so stupid I just quit the game

Literally one of the worst games I've ever played.

This.

Also perfect dark was a shitty rehash without the bond licence, only rareware fanboys though it was comparable.

To me it was a game that felt like a movie, without sacrificing being a game like so many "games" do today.

It's GoldenEye. Not because it is an especially good game, but because of the time and place that it hit. Millions of people had a ton of fun playing GoldenEye with their friends and most of them probably can't name one other Bond game.

...

It's GoldenEye 007, you colossal faggot.

I don't see PD having remixes of the bond theme for every single music in the game.

As far as this thread goes, no.

Goldeneye still is the coolest, followed closely by Nightfire.
This is objectively true

If it wasn't for the piss poor framerate, (yes it was even bad for the time), it would've been a way better game than Goldeneye.

Does it matter that the game cannot hold up today?

It's largely unplayable.

Play it on emulator with the KB+M injector and 60 fps hack.

Do you even technology

>Does it matter that the game cannot hold up today?

I factor that into my opinion for sure. But the fact is that there just isn't another compelling enough bond game that is good enough (and holds up enough) that it outweighs the cultural significance of GoldenEye.

>largely unplayable

GTFO 10 year old COD kid. I bet you started gaming around 2007.

> No tits in a videogame

For what purpose?

>gamecube fag
>bought Agent Under Fire instead of Nightfire because I pretty much bought games at random based on their cover art and pictures on the back

>GTFO 10 year old COD kid. I bet you started gaming around 2007.

He's right. I lived through the GoldenEye golden age and had a blast with it.

I'm probably never going to play it again though because it just doesn't hold up.

good idea actually

I played it with friends on his n64

wasn't nearly as fun as I remember as a kid

yeh

It is goldeneye.

It's got one of the best campaigns of any shooter, and it's actually fun and challenging. Plus the ost is great. I play through it once a year.

Did anyone play, or even like this?

OST is still great, I'll agree with that. Controls are a bit rough though. And it's really tough to play on a modern tv unfortunately.

I honestly don't see how anyone can prefer Goldeneye. The controls are clunky, the frame rate is terrible, and the multiplayer is unrefined.
Nightfire has a nice story mode, with a good mix of action and stealth. The multiplayer is diverse and has very well made bots.

Loved that game. One of my favorite TPS games. Co op was fun. Too bad From Russia With Love wasn't as good.

Like others have said Nightfire is the shit too.

Yes it is though.

Wtf I meant this pic

You are correct

Its Nightfire or Alpha Protocol

Agent Under Fire is by far the best

Watched someone play it. Looked very miss to me.

Kind of like Goldeneye Rogue Agent or whatever

Will agree with the modern tv thing.

Rogue Agent was a fucking horrible game that had a fucking great premise.

Why the fuck was Alpha Protocol single handedly a mess and a masterpiece at the same time?

>that aiming cursor that was toward the top of the screen, meaning you were practically looking at the floor most of the time.
The dual wielding thing was cool but even halo 2 did that better.

It has some of the best mission objective pacing in video games. Modern games are just go here watch cutscene, and mgsv is go there and fulton. GE has god tiered objectives

The coolest thing was the eye powers and often times they were fucking useless

My nigga!
youtube.com/watch?v=H1HN-RVEdys

This. So much. It also had lots of stealth elements in it too.

What were the objectives again? All I can really remember were variations on, "blow up the thing" and "toss the thing on the thing"

>you will never play EoN co-op with your friends again

I used to play it with my friend everyday. Now I haven't talked to him in like 8 years.

Never played the coop but I got a friend willing to play old stuff. How is it?

Will there ever be another good Bond game

What does Sup Forums think of Goldeneye Source?

this is the only correct answer

Download computers, upload to computers, find keys, open safes, copy floppy disks and replace the original, take some pictures. Just google a list. I did recently and was sad because I was remember how fun they were to accomplish.

This coupled with non linear levels was very fun

GET HER

NOLF?

You are in for a good time, go for it.

How much time must I have put on this fucking game? I recall trying to run this mission a million times as fast as possible and made me aware of diagonal running, probably to unlock a cheat

Another thing I remember was using the combat simulator to play a little story in my head about an ace DataDyne soldier trying to defeat Joanna but also playing with a friend and despite being on the same team sometimes I would order the bots to attack him

I tend to emulate N64 every year, maybe I'll do that again and this time actually play above agent difficulty

Nightfire because it was a straight upgrade from Goldeneye in terms of gameplay, was its own unique game, and was extremely satisfying from beginning to end.

>those driving segments
>different paths in some levels
>space lasers
>two cute women
>that fucking part where you cook Kiko
>that sniper segment where they scream every time you hit them

I remember getting this game back when I was around 12 and playing it through 5 times then switched to banjo kazooie. I loved those games man

Yeah all older systems are ass on modern tvs. As far as controls go you should try out control style 1.2 (c buttons is wasd, stick is aim)

Shit game that only rode on the coattails of the original Goldeneye the story was pretty cool.

Mamba best gun

Only one I have played is everything or nothing and it was pretty damn good one of the best ps2 games i ever played tried unlocking all o the shit but some of the mission were just too hard on max difficulty for me back then, too bad I don't have the cd anymore

emulate it son

Nightfire
I loved this game. But my disc would crap out on the ski level and you'd get stuck on trees.

>literally the perfect gentleman taste

This.

Don't forget the roster of amazing characters including Oddjob complete with throwable 1-hit-kill hat. The gondolas, the great multiplayer maps, the weapons which had different modes and the unique weaponry.

The way you could essentially skip part of the first level by sneaking into the base by dropping into a truck instead of sneaking around the side of the fortress.

Also, entirely changeable CPU, great game modes and generally solid multiplayer.

Don't mind me, just the best 007 game to ever surface.

You posted it yeah

Excuse me, coming through.

I just want a game about Mads Mikkelsen, is that too hard to ask for, Sup Forums?
