How much for Clayfighter?

>blackjack ceasars palace VIP
well I know what IP I am buying :^)

I had no idea that SHOGO was Interplay's property.

I somehow don't think that Interplay owns Star Trek.

For the love of God, somebody better buy Shogo.

How the fuck are they still around

>Descent (TM only)
What do they mean by this?

Can I buy one?

battle chess was fucking great

Interplay has an IP called Craps?

I would have thought Bethesda owned that.

That games themselves are owned by other party.

Holy shit... Snowblind studios should totally fucking get the dark alliance ip!!!

>I would have thought Bethesda owned that.
You're thinking of Bugs.

Craps is a dice game

The joke
-------------
Your head

>MDK
bruh

SAcrifice & Giants pls

Let's get that toonstruck sequel done while Christopher Lloyd is still alive and kicking.

>Dark Alliance

someone, anyone, please make Dark Alliance III so I can rest

>Freespace
Alright, why is Freelancer not on that list?

>Boogerman

Brb heading to the bank.

>star trek
lolwut?

Ill give them $5 for battle chess

I can't imagine there are many people clamoring for a sequel to Casper: Gameboy Color

Agreed.
>see Toonstruck on this list
FUCK. I'd hope for even just a re-release on Steam or something.

To his benefit, it was a horrible joke that you should be ashamed of making.

I don't believe they couldn't put half of those into phone games and profit fomr it.

>Earthworm Jim
s-someone please buy it

EARTHWORM JIM
THE SOIL HE DID CRAWL

I'm hoping Nintendo or SEGA buy Earthworm Jim.

>freespace

OH SHIT

I had that godawful game

>Clay Fighter
Fucking someone buy, this the potential for a remake is amazing. Think of all the nostalgia buys

...

They're probably liquidating because they went/are going bankrupt. It just costs money to make games and market them, especially on the mobile market.

Now you're giving Bethesda to much credit

Isn't it on gog?

>MDK

freelancer is a microsoft IP

So how much would Earthworm Jim cost?

A new Dark Alliance game would be so fucking good.

>casper game boy color
good luck selling that one

>Casper: Gameboy Color

What could you even do with that

These things go to the highest bidder.
Considering Earthworm Jim is actually a name in the industry, it would probably be one of the more expensive ones.

>Star Trek
What
Since when?

Ahh, right, Parallax Software owns the actual game Descent.

So Interplay owns the name alone, and nothing else? I remember reading that they owned some other things, like the ship design, etc.

>Fire and Forget
first game I ever played, fug

Notch I know you shitpost on Sup Forums you just MUST buy Titus the fox.

How much do you think an average license would go for? Like would 20 or 30 thousand bucks be enough for a low or mid tier one?

I have a feeling you could probably get some of the no-name obscure ones for less than that even

the casino ones and "game boy color" ones probably don't worth 1000$ put together

NOT BOOGERMAN!!!!!!!!!

Sup Forums, I HAVE 2.08 MILLION IN MY SWISS ACCOUNT AND ANOTHER MIL IN ESTATE

DO YOU THINK I COULD REALISTICALLY BUY EARTHWORM JIM?

>One Interplay share costs $0.01

250k would probably do it

>Die by the sword
yesssssss

What would you do with it?

how bout that, theres almost 5 things there that are worth any amount of money
someone here should buy the rights to poker night with david slansky, itll probably be like $5

Yes, it'd probably cost way less than 2 million.

I would pay 20K for ClayFighter.

>Earthworm Jim
>MDK
>Giants
>Freespace
>Descent

PLEASE SOMEONE GOOD PICK THIS UP

Oh fuck

oh damn

I don't know man I ain't thought that far ahead yet

I could see that faggot David Perry buying EJ just to keep it for himself

Oh god Freespace

Buy Clayfighter and give it to the guys who did Skullgirls

DO IT

as long as you understand that its not an investment and youre not likely to see the money you spend on it come back yeah probably
unless theres a company out there that REALLY wants it

You can always just open a kickstarter.

honest question : how did they lose so much money? I swear half of those IP should be exploited and profitable right now.

>Battle Chess
>Descent
>Die by the Sword
>Earthworm Jim
>F18: Super Hornet
>Freespace
>Kingpin
>Messia
>MDK
>Sacrifice
>Shogo

All that nostalgia

mismanagement

How about they sell off that fallout IP, maybe to a company with lots of talented writers and creative staff who will expand the lore of the game and evoke meaningful discussion about the universe through fun and fresh Fallout games? OOPS TOO LATE YOU NIGGERS SOLD THAT TO JEWTHESDA.

Interplay was bought by Titus that booted every single talented person and horribly mismanaged their franchises.

NOBODY IS ALLOWED TO USE THE MONKEY PAW UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVE IT'S AN ORDER

Because they need capital to exploit the IPs. Interplay hasn't published a decent game for how many years now? 15?

I've asked SEGA Europe to buy some of the franchises. Let's see if they do. :^)

Who cares about Freelancer. Freespace was the better game anyway.

So what does this mean for that clayfighter remake that was being done?

>Earthworm Jim

>SEGA buy Titus The Fox
>Turn him into a Sonic side character
It will happen.

but why? When they had money, what did they do with it? Why didn't they run a shovelware scam on the DS/WiiU like everybody else?

battle chess
boogerman
castles
clayfigher
cyberia
earthworm jim
freespace
kingpin
MDK
shattered steel
star trek
mother fucking stone keep
toonstruck
wild 9

Nice double entendre

>buy it
>make kickstarter game filled with promises
>never deliver
>get rich
ez

>Boogerman
>Earthworm Jim
>Dark Alliance
oh shit

back in the early 2000s they were bleeding money so their ceo at the time started taking money from some seedy publisher who shortly thereafter basically began mandating that they appeal to a "console audience"
and you probably already know how that ended up

Buy the IP, hire a concept artist, come up with a bunch of art that looks cool but probably doesn't reflect the game in any way, get a kickstarter going, hire a bunch of code monkeys with the kickstarter dosh, make a profitable game off of vague promises and esoteric communication with backers, then sell it once it's a hot potato again.

>appeal to a "console audience"
but how could they fuck that up? Even some EJ re-release on the DS and 3DS would probably have kept them afloat.

Historical auction prices:
Gearbox bought Homeworld for $1.35 million
505 bought Drawn to Life for $300,000
Crytex bought Homefront for $500,000
Koch bought Metro for $2.3 million
Ubisoft bought South Park: Stick of Truth for $3.2 million (gee think that was a good buy?)
Take-Two bought Evolve for $11 million

I think Descent is in a bit of a stickier situation. I'm not quite sure how it's divided, but Parallax Software definitely owns a large portion of that game. To make a "Descent" game, you would have to talk to both Interplay and Parallax - but the companies apparently hate each other now.

It might be that Interplay owns the name itself, and a few design elements (like the ship), and Parallax owns the game itself, but I'm not sure.

How much did SEGA buy Company of Heroes for again?

>I swear half of those IP should be exploited and profitable right now.
That list is the biggest pile of shit. Literally shovelware all of them. Mind that even Mega Man can't be turned into good game so how is anyone going to make anything out of "Boogerman".

>Take-Two bought Evolve for $11 million

This will never not be funny

cyberia 3 fucking when

>Sacrifice

>Literally shovelware all of them
>earthworm jim, mdk, messiah, dark alliance
fuck off retard.

Oh boy.
youtube.com/watch?v=--c7T6UDsqM

They bought Relic Studios + COH + WH40K games for $26.6 million

Nigga, what?
Die by the Sword was great. A re-make of that game would ride the coat tails of Dark Souls' popularity and be a major hit.
Descent was an awesome fps game.

Lots of other games on that list were among the best in their respective genres and would probably still rank highly on a best games of al time list.
