what the? this game is actually good? why did you lie to me Sup Forums? I put off the HD games for years thanks to you fags. Fuck, who knows how much fun I missed during the GTA IV online glory days, now it's dead
one big complaint though, what the fuck where they thinking with the taxis? why the fuck is stealing and getting in normaly the same fucking button? Why not use the same button for calling and entering a taxi instead? I mean jesus
modern Sup Forums loves this though and hates 5, 5 is really good too
Tyler Wilson
just hold down the button. also you can turn away from a car if niko is about to steal it and the driver will return to their non-aggro state.
Sebastian Diaz
IV has really nice NPC physics but I have very few good memories about the rest of the game. Certainly worth playing but it doesn't come close to the earlier ones.
V so far seems to be better but it has too many annoyances and design decisions obviously made for the sake of nudging you towards buying in-game money
Cameron Williams
I was a huge San Andreas fanboy. I remember when IV came out, what a fucking disappointment. I quit the game around the third island because 90% of the missions were literally: "go chase and kill this guy."
Zachary Walker
I wonder if I'm in the minority when I have played over a hundred hours of GTA V without ever touching online
Jeremiah Roberts
it would be fucking cool if they did a san andreas story DLC for GTA V, it would be like a total remaster
currently SA is just too outdated for me to get into it
Jackson Watson
the online was very fun for the first few months but it just lost its charm somehow.
Nathaniel Bailey
>listening to edgy anonymous teenagers instead of playing it and forming your own opinion
I don't even feel bad for you. I hope the rest of your life goes poorly.
Adam Cooper
>GFWL was never taken out
Why is Rockstar so shit with their older games?
Jaxon Taylor
For what's worth I haven't played any online either, but I'm just now playing through it for the first time, strictly single-player. And even there I see a continuation of the stripping down of some features that the first games had but IV made away wish, such as side missions and collectibles that would unlock bonuses for you like increased health or armor or free weapon pickups. Hell, you can't even change your default vehicles in single player, which seems to make the online vehicle stores mostly pointless.
Ayden Price
Online is shitty as hell now It's filled with Minorities that try to kill you on site, faggots with jets and tanks bought using those shark cards, and every five seconds you get a invite from some faggot to play "GET FREE GTA MONEY $10000000 DOLLARS JOIN NOW FIND ME ON INSTAGRAM"
Stunts were fun at least
Wyatt Cook
gta v has really good side missions though and some of the random events are pretty funny
David Smith
>currently SA is just too outdated for me to get into it It's a casual 2004 game, what the fuck am I being baited?
Luis Ortiz
also I haven't played IV but in V you just park your car in the garage and it's saved
Oliver Butler
it was one of the few games I really enjoyed online mode in. got so much enjoyment out of grabbing an annihilator, picking up a squad of randoms and dropping them into combat SWAT style. made a lot of friends that way.
Blake Williams
>There are people who avoid a game just because they read some random person say "it's shit" on here >Not following your own taste It's honestly sad how much some people feel the need to fit in.
Sebastian Russell
hey anyone got a tip on how to play it on windows 10 without windows live shit?
Hudson Jackson
Never thought it was a bad game. But I agree with people that say it's kind of boring. Doesn't mean it's bad.
William Parker
This it does, it really does, but with heists [as far as I know] being a limited number of one-off missions that aren't repeatable, and no vigilante side missions, or indeed, no repeatable side content that I have managed to find so far at all except for the eventual world event, I fear it's a game you can't just keep playing much after the main game is over.
Hell, what is GTA Online even like? Maybe THAT is what you're supposed to be doing after the main game is over if you don't want to just start it all over again.
>Kifflom, brother brother
Colton Clark
I thought hype were going to be some kind of infinitely available side mission during my first playthrough. Can't tell how disappointed I was when I found out the only heists you do are in the main story.
Jonathan Jackson
heists*, not hype
Grayson Morales
>Can't tell how disappointed I was when I found out the only heists you do are in the main story. Considering only now I'm finding that out through you user, you don't quite have to tell me anything
I didn't quite expect them to be infinitely repeatable but I at least hoped there would be a number of optional heists I could plan and carry out for huge profit as side missions after the story was over.
>Driving was the best it had been in IV >tfw you got good at it and won nearly every race you entered due to others crashing into walls at full speed >tfw they changed it in V due to shitters complaining >tfw the only fun with driving I've had in V was with the futo
Logan Fisher
For me IV is the worst part of the series, solely because of completely shitty driving model.
1 > 5 > 3 > san andreas > 2 > vide city > 4
Andrew Kelly
>3 above Vice City >Vice City almost dead last Have you played 3 recently? I beat it for the first time this year and it was rough. No map, bullshit missions, and the fact that you can't even go back to the first island without having 30 rival gangsters trying to push your shit in.
Sebastian Collins
Who here played the side games? Liberty City Stories was more or less unremarkable to the point I remember nothing about it, but Vice City Stories was goat.
Logan Hall
I remember liking both a loth when I played for the first time on the PS2, but playing now on PSP I can definitely feel the lack of quality on LCS. VCS is better in every single way. I still enjoy them both a lot, though.
Ayden Lewis
Obviously none of those games aged well (apart from the first two), but that's how I'd rank them based on how I liked each one when it came out. I really sunk into GTA3, somehow it clicked for me. For nostalgia I still listen to music (and Chatterbox FM) from that game.
Isaiah Garcia
I've played V for at least 1500 hours and never even touched Online.
Aiden Rodriguez
what do you even do?
I have so many hours logged because I've played the game with my friends and also by myself, then I have this obsession of fine tuning the shit out of graphics settings and I'm never pleased
Nathaniel Collins
>what do you even do?
Exploring and messing around with the physics mostly. Oh and testing out mods.
Kevin Allen
I was almost betting you were one of them delusional chiliad mystery dudes from reddit
Christopher Evans
>listening to literally anyone else's opinion on anything in order to form your own
Chase Bennett
Great case of the "previous game is better" nonsense
GTA IV was a disappointment after San Andreas, everyone agreed on that. Why is it suddenly considered good now?
Anthony Reyes
>during the GTA IV online glory days, now it's dead Never happened. GTAIV online was always bad.
Zachary Allen
III > VC > SA > LCS > V > IV
That saying, I have neither played VCS nor EFLC enough to judge them. LCS (and likely VCS) is a good game stuck on a terrible platform. (The PS2 port is horrifying).
Eli Sullivan
Ballad of Gay Tony is great but IV/TLatD are meh.
Luis Price
why do you listen to what an arabian pole vaulting board says about video games? form your own opinion, you baby.
Aaron Hughes
>GTAO is shite
Honestly not sure how they fucked up the online so bad. It was honestly top-tier fun in the early days, my friends and I had a blast. I think the reasons it is fucking terribad now is:
>Having a fucking bulletproof car that anyone can acquire >Having TWO fucking bulletproof cars that anyone can acquire >Being fucking punished for "bad behaviour" and dumped in a shitty server because apparently killing people and blowing their shit up is "bad behavior" in a fucking GTA game >S H A R K C A R D S >Making heists fail if one person fucks up one thing at any point >Making heists designed around moments where one fuck up resets several minutes of progress, despite it being very easy to fuck up or be just unlucky >Fucking bulletproof cars that are fast as fuck seriously who the fuck thought that was a good idea why would anyone ever buy any other car
Aaron Morales
its only better with mods OP
same with V, don't listen to faggots on Sup Forums, they are likely asspained console fags who got suckered into buying it twice
Sebastian Baker
Why the fuck do people listen to Sup Forums? Why do you trust this place? At best it's good for advices that leads to further investgation of your own.
Rockstar still makes great fucking games, they're probably the most consistent high quality AAA devs out there.
