This. I'd rather get a couple guns and a few ticks of Armor up at the end of a mission instead of needing to go out of my way to scoop up all these boxes littered everywhere and grind the same mission with some cheap strategy for better stuff.
In fact, instead of random armor/weapon box drops from kills, do a mission reward of armor/items at the end with bonus gear given if you do special things, and then have a few boxes hidden around the place during the mission.
