Seriously as someone who grew up with and loves all the mainline RE games, I love 6. It's much better than 5.

Yeah, 6 didn't know what it wanted to be, so it tried to be everything. Have fun with like, 12 different UI's that randomly change because, bullet sponge zombies that take 4 shots to the head and don't bother trying to preemptively take out bodies you see on the floor, they dont' have hitboxes until it's time for them to suddenly lunge for you which is so scary because you just never see that coming.

The only things RE5 did right were costumes, a couple of locations, and weapons. Mercs was great, but RE6 Mercs is superior.

Ok but anyway its pretty fun so far. The only times its terror is when you get split from your partner. Play on veteran its the perfect balance of challenge.

Camt put my finger on it but the pacing in 5 is nicer. 6 is just constantly crazy and rushing from one thing to another. 5 is kind of cozy with the pace you go at.

I do think Leon's campaign was very rushed in the first chapter or two. The University and Tall Oaks were really underutilized.

Chris's had the best ending and some great bosses.

Ada's was garbage aside from that first cutscene.

Thats the only chapter Ive played so far. Like the environments are so cool and amazing to look at.. but I only spend a minute or so in one room before moving on.

Honestly I wish Revelations was the triple A console game we got. It was pretty damn good with everything it did.

Just unlocked the Pirate Jill costume last week.

Revelations had extremely unsatisfying guns, dumb enemies, and an awful melee system.

Raid Mode is alright though.

If only the boss battle weren't total shit.

The enemies were fine, as was the melee.

A few ooze variants along with hunters got old quick.

The melee system is even more simple than RE4's. Making that much of a huge step backwards is pretty unacceptable.

I'm a sucker for atmosphere, I really loved the cramped halls and the occasional lightning to help light the areas. And that boss that was screaming mayday was awesome.

The melee is admittedly worse than RE4; but I was fine with it, considering the many tight corridors.

by far the worst game in the series. anyone who says otherwise is either fucking with you or a kid who never played any of RE games. anything satisfying about the combat in 4 and 5 is ruined in this game. zombies don't react to bullets and are complete sponges. and to top it off, the game somehow became more action oriented than 5 was.

The game makes a terrible first impression since the first few hours consist of the game ripping the controls out of your hands to zoom in on some overdone explosion or enemy entrance. Then it turns into a pretty solid third person shooter with some horror elements thrown in for taste.

I liked it, the only thing I miss is having some chill moments where you get a lil exploration going on, it's action scene after action scene.
