Destructo-Disk/Kienzan can supposedly cut through anything, but for some reason it's rarely used, and wouldn't be very effective against regenerating enemies like Cell and Buu anyways.

Or at least remove the arbitrary limit on their power. It feels like human characters stopped getting any stronger after the Namek arc despite supposedly still training and trying to get stronger. The only one who can do anything after that is Tien, who can basically sacrifice his life in exchange for minorly inconveniencing Cell for a few seconds.

I haven't watched Super but I'm assuming it's more of the same in that regard since humans were also essentially useless against Beerus and Golden Frieza.

I said it was the "go-to technique", since Goku intended it to be the finishing move for each of the fights he used it in. The fact that it fails most of the time kind of supports the idea that there is no one "deadliest, guaranteed to kill anyone" technique.

There wasn't really a good opportunity to use it against Cell, being that Goku stayed out of the action until the Cell Games anyways, at which point he never could've charged up a sufficient Spirit Bomb amidst the 1v1 battle. And I actually forgot about the Kamehameha boost in the Spirit Bomb against Buu.

Literally impossible. Roshi only beat then-scrub Goku in the first tournament because Goku's legs were shorter. Krillin has gone galaxies beyond that old Goku whereas there's no reason to believe Roshi got stronger.

Krillin was strong enough to make Vegeta crap his pants, hurt Freiza, and compete against Freiza's minions with power levels FAR beyond Roshi's.

Only way Roshi stands a chance is if you count the movie version of Resurrection of F as canon over the Super version. Even then, no data shows the random 1000 soldiers are as strong as what Krillin fought.

Just booted up my ps2 and played Budokai 3 yesterday, it's as good as I remember.

I can't get past that last fight vs perfect cell though, he outclasses me in melee combat. Whenever I get to try to combo him he just randomly breaks my combo and chains into even stronger shit. He also teleports away from my ki attacks. He has shitton of health and before I can deal full dmg to him usually he has me pretty low.
