Elder Scrolls 6

Given the technology and funding limitations, what would you like to see in the Elder Scrolls 6?
Setting, story, gameplay etc.

Memes aside, do you think we will ever get another good Elder Scrolls game? Skyrim was one thing, but I can't ever see Bethesda making another decent game after the abomination that is Fallout 4.

don't really care. hope they surprise me. i'm not picky. I did really like the Skyrim environment. I liked the bleak cold of it.

>I did really like the Skyrim

how's high school little man

Elder scrolls and Fallout are both doomed to a gamebryo hell for the rest of time. Might as well move on to a new franchise.

Next elder scrolls is probably going to be set in a desert setting, either elswyer or hammerfell. I wouldn't mind summerset isles but that would be too much of a stretch.

it's swell, grandpa

He said he liked Skyrim's environment

Give me a game in Daggerfall without the cringe and cringeworthy audience of Fallout 4 and I will slap $60 down on the Amazon counter.
Skyrim bored me, I liked ESO btw
Also I had no one to play ESO with, so you can't say
>muh healerz

What other game has the great mod support and waifu potential tho

A new engine that isn't another reanimated Gamebryo corpse and better questlines and writing.

I think that last part is beyond Bethesda now however. They should license the Fox engine from Konami.

What kind of climate and landscapes does Hammerfell have?

>gamebryo
you guys are just game engine shills trying to sell to Beth, aren't ya?

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Akavir, or atleast a province of it. Set some time after Skyrim where the Elves gain dominance over the Empire and are now using the 'lesser' races as canon fodder in their colonisation of Akavir against the local races.

Yes I actually work for Unity inc. and my greatest dream is to knock gamebryo off of todd's cock and take its place.

what will be the lore aftermath of the civil War?

Fucking nothing. TESVI will take place 200 years after Skyrim and they'll just shove in some stupid lore about how nothing of consequence happened and the status quo was maintained and there has STILL been no technological advances in like 600 years.

This is most likely to happen.

Would be good though if they tied that Ulfric conspiracy of him being controlled opposition into it.

So that means Ulfic's rebellion is victorious?

does the mmo have anything to offer if you enjoy the games?

i never hear it mentioned ever

I feel like Akavir is a lot cooler in theory than it would be in practice, going there would spoil the mystery which is part of what makes it interesting in the first place, kinda like the dwemer

Who gives the slightest shit where it takes place? Why do you fucking retards pretend Bethesda has ever made a good game? It's pathetic that there are people out there that will actually pay money to beta test these fucking games until the mods come out, and even then they're just a shinier pile of shit.

An engine that ain't shit on toast. NPCs that aren't more wooden than Redwood National Park. That's really about it.

They're selling content patches, user. For money. Keep in mind, these are the same fuckers who charged European players subscriptions for yurop servers which were in Texas.

Giant dwemer sandworms

I just want one set in Elsweyr. The question is, do they have the balls to call a game "Elsweyr"?

skyrim has an amazing hand crafted open world.
first time exploration is literally 10/10
its good enough to make any gameplay or depth to be trivial

dont listen to asian sony boy shitters who swear skyrim is shit.
neogaf is so fucking jelous because skyrim is literally the best selling game of all time outside of mario which gets many of its high numbers from being a system bundle

>skyrim is literally the best selling game of all time

That would be undertale idiot.

I'd like to see a possible the
"elder scrolls vi: elyswere"

Them cat folk are awesome.

3/10 bait

also detecting a hint of anger

If it doesn't have open cities I honestly don't care.

Set it in cyrodiil but get it right this time

It's going to be Hammerfell

It's not going to be PC only, user.

They're still pretty cool, its the redguard right?

The current PS4 and Xbone can handle open cities. I would accept losing physics and interacting with all minor objects if we gain open cities and no loading into dungeons

Yeah, there's tons of interesting stuff that could be done there. Hammerfell the weirdest man-based province.

>They're selling content patches, user. For money.

Well considering the game is now essentially like GW2 I'm not surprised?

Fallout 4 was given the Skyrim treatment. It just got a negative reaction because it wasn't elder scrolls and didn't have colossal hype.

Yeah, and hopefully there is the standard mage and warriors guilds like in oblivion.

I dont know what it was but I seriously preferred oblivion over skyrim.

I WANT MY FUCKING

ACROBATICS SKILL

PUT BACK IN THE GAME

a new engine isn't going to do shit to solve bethesda's lazy as fuck design philosophy, stop with this stupid fucking meme.

>Top tier
Alinor
Hammerfell

>High tier
Valenwood
High Rock

>Mid tier
Morrowind mainland
Pyandonea

>Autistic furry kill yourself tier
Elsweyr
Black Marsh
Akavir

bring back hand-to-hand combat and give it its own perk tree this time
only thing i want

Honestly, losing physics would be a good thing. Go back to morrowind item placement where touching a table didn't risk launching everything on it into fucking orbit.

I want Todd to fire that Emilio hack piece of shit.
He is a terrible writer and designer and it showed in Fallout 3, Skyrim and Fallout 4.

But I want to dumb down my game, user.

It's probably the nostalgia

...

>the abomination that is fallout 4

Yeah, I sort of lost faith after playing that. I beat the main story line and haven't played it. No amount of DLC could make that game worth my time.

I feel it will go in the direction of fallout, sadly.

For me I'd like to see attributes make a return - to me they made me feel like my character was gaining more than a level increase, not sure how to best describe

Well when magic exists that allows for long range travel and communications and other things why the fuck would technology advance lmao

Oblivion was a shitheap in many ways, but the quests generally were better than Skyrim's. Especially the faction questlines.

Also, oblivion gates were less annoying than the cliff racer dragons, and SI was leagues above DG/DB.

Anet released content patches like any other MMO last I checked. They only charged if you missed it. The expectation with a b2p MMO is you get the MMO as well as the non expansion content, not that you're buying a snapshot of the game at the moment you purchase it.

it was actually fun jumping everywhere and getting rewarded for it with level ups

>but the quests generally were better than Skyrim's. Especially the faction questlines
I used to think the same thing too since oblivion was my first, when you actually compare the TES games without the nostalgia bias though it's not really true

if they do Valenwood I want Battlefront-level graphics

betheshit is done for. i didn't think the garbage from fo3 would leak over to skyrim and it did. the same will be true with fo4. they are now on the never buy from list

I Just enjoyed having the option of playing a speedy thief that can jump clear over walls and make an escape by jumping across the surface of the lake while the guards are trying to swim after you.

Or being able to skip huge obstacles inside oblivion gates by jumping down multiple stories without dying.

Because not everyone is a mage you blithering retard

They really need to bring back climbing too

Mages offer their services to those who aren't mages though.

Didn't Elder Scrolls Online already handle the entire continent? As in there's nowhere else to really explore?

If the Empire wins they get cucked and taken over by the Thalmor. If the stormcloaks win, they get forcibly invaded and taken over by the Thalmor. Either way the civil war was a plot to divide and weaken the forces of Skyrim to make them easier to take over.

I thought Skyrim was just as ridiculous a name for the northernmost region when I played Oblivion. Then they actually named a game after it.

then nothing would be interactable and forget about a day night cycle or dynamic shadows at all.

I don't think people really remember this, but when Skyrim was released the game was critically acclaimed for its stunning graphics, gameplay wore a bit tiresome but the game was still lauded as being awesome.

The worst thing was the menu system on the PC, really, albeit there were other things like them removing the ability to craft your own spells and whatnot.

Fallout 4's changes were extreme, it's like Bethesda saw ME:3 and decided they too wanted a Sheppard as the protagonist.

If TES:VI is anything like Fallout 4 I'll honestly give up on Bethesda.

The irony is that for a good period of time Bioware and Bethesda were both my favorite game developers.

Crysis could do this, and that game came out like a decade ago?

Why the fuck can't TES?

crysis is not battlefront levels of graphics

Lorewise tech isn't stagnant. They develop magitech space programs and shit.

Did I mention the game's a decade old?

The graphics were pretty fucking close, and the map was pretty open world with advanced physics and dynamic lighting to boot.

If Bethesda can't pull it off, it's because they've gotten lazy from resting on their laurels.

Honestly, I hope they roll Elsweyr, Valenwood, and the Summerset Isles all together into one game: "Dominion".

Failing that, Hammerfell and High Rock would be good choices for TES6's setting, even if Daggerfall had them both before.

Mananauts haven't been a thing for millennia.

crysis 1 still looks good but it doesn't hold a candle to what frostbite can do these days

just want it to be comfy

No no, apparently because magic exists then society just stagnates and not a single person has any reason or drive to invent anything new.

Honestly Sup Forums are timid cunts, Skyrim And Oblivion are good games.

While Ai Was shit it was very fun to play.
it had deep lore and alot of mysterys to explore

I want them to stop using gamebryo. They share a parent company with id, so why can't they work together and bring the next game to id Tech 6? maybe that way it'll actually look nice without having to install 100 mods

I want better 3rd person combat, more similar to souls but with no ninja flipping

Shut the fuck up

I don't understand this complaint.

You all know why Bethesda doesn't have the TES series advance in tech. Do you just want an in-game explanation for it?

I hope they have something as fun as shouts

First they'd have to ditch the engine.

But in terms of content, I'd like it if they actually made the cities huge but just fill them with junk characters a la Hitman and Assassin's Creed. Bring back all of the ridiculous skills but make them actually do stuff, so acrobatics can actually be used to climb buildings and shit so you can be an actual assassin that uses vantage points. Make the different classes and their playstyles unique so I can be a charming rogue with powerful attacks but little health or a strong warrior that can dual wield 2-handed swords or a spoony bard that does spoony bard things. Y'know, like an RPG should be. I also want more depth and interaction, though. Let me run my own shop, start my own guild, raid cities, etc. Some of that may be too much but I want activities that go beyond wood chopping for the sake of grinding gold.

Seriously, RPGs just get more simplified when everything begs for something more diverse and open.

Something with the sloads would be cool.

Please, PLEASE put realistic needs and diseases in the game. +cooking. +hot/cold wet/dry survival elements.
It just makes the immersion and role-playing so much better.

Better combat
Different weapons
MORE ENEMIES, Walking through skyrim it was just so unbelievably empty.

An engine that isn't fucking shit

They don't advance technology because they're lazy and they think it's what people want.

It's their franchise and lore so they can do what they want but they're to lazy to have their big story lines like the Aldemeri stuff in Skyrim or the events of Oblivion have any impact on the next game so they space them out with huge gaps but at the same time it's a swords and sorcery setting and they clearly can't think of a way to work around that. It's exactly the same problem with Fallout's time scale.

It's all just Bethesda shitty writing.

>not wanting an oblivion remake

>Best story
>Best province
>Best setting
>Good skill system

>what is skyblivion

Trainwiz, what engine should Bethesda use instead?

Isn't that just a graphical upgrade?

It doesn't matter what engine they use ultimately, not at that level. Switching engines won't magically makes things better, the only people who believe that are complete imbeciles. A engine is a tool, it's only as good as the person who uses it.

Wherever its set I want temperature, food, disease, and basic needs. A fucking shit ton of weapons and armor, they dont need to be different stats, I just dont want to see the same steel armor on the same enemies, make the legionaries look roman, and have dialogue and scenes be better scripted.

Like a shader mod I mean

Maybe if they stop using that decade old piece of shit engine.

Tolkien fantasy is the same.

Tech stagnates for thousands of years.

They actually might use different engine this time.
On E3 when asked about TES6 Todd said that "they don't have the tools yet".

>and they think it's what people want.

It is though. People who buy TES are expecting a fantasy setting with swords and magic.

Even jumping to early firearms would change the demographics.

I am genuinely impressed,

My point still stands though: Bethesda SHOULD be able to make a game with an open world jungle with dynamic shadows and beautiful detail and expect it to run perfectly well.

Unless they have a bunch of shit programmers or something.

Lorewise nords can survive naked in the freezing cold subsisting on mead, dunmer do fine in extremely hot weather, certain races can never get diseased, so I wouldn't say it's immersive. If you want the next game to be a half assed survival game count on a mod for that

So you think anyone who thinks Gamebryo is bad is an idiot?

No, they are an idiot.
