winston vs tracer looks good on paper but it never really feels like winston has the upper hand

at best he can scare tracer off, her blinks charge too fast and put her too far away for winston to continuously chase her down, not to mention she can just callback. hell she can probably even outdamage and kill him if she's feeling good.

Not really, especially now that they decided to nerf her defense matrix so it can't be spammed. Shes still outclassed by every other tank, she has piss poor damage, even at close range, is the easiest tank to take out now, and her defense matrix is outclassed by Rein and Zarya now.

She needs a new ability. If Rein can have his shield and 2 other abilities, there is no reason she doesn't need one.

It's all about his leap. It has a really low cooldown and covers a great distance, granted it takes some practice to get the angle right but once you do you can get yourself out of trouble instantly. Use him to harass and kill the squishier characters and pay attention to the leap cooldown. If things get too hot just leap on out and throw down your shield if you have to. Don't focus on trying to get a kill every time, he doesn't deal big damage but that's not his role.

His ult is great for holding a point whilst your team get back to it. The enemy team has to focus you entirely whilst the rest of your team can get their shit together. Note that you don't have to pick Winston right away, he can be a character you can switch to for the appropriate situation. A lot of people still seem to forget you can switch in this game.

Shes still only an annoyance, and unlike Winston has trouble killing even squishies.

Sure, that's why he's one of the most picked characters in competitive overwatch. It amazes me how people still can't figure out how to use Winston effectively. He is an excellent harassment tool and great at holding down objectives. Most people are scrubs who think he's bad because his weapon doesn't deal big damage, as if that is what defines a characters usefulness.

it allows for hit and run tactics, which I use plenty so with the small nerf I have to be more conservative of the shield... having said that... she is still pretty great for me. easily my favorite character.

Junkrats and Tracers need to be real close to their explosions, Dva's explosion is huge in comparison, I think she is OK the way she is now. she doesnt feel overpowered nor is underpowered... she is just right.

Yeah but its not as fun when its blantantly obvious that you are being a cock. With hanzo you can be total shit just by virtue of playing hanzo and you'll probably have tons of people who will instantly get mad at you, because hanzo is always a detriment to the team but mei can be useful.

Defense matrix denies Blizzard, Dragonstrike, Barrage, Graviton Surge, Pulse Bomb, Death Blossom, Deadeye, Tactical Visor, and Whole Hog. That's 9 ults out of every unique hero. That's a fucking good amount.

D.va is not meant to take on heroes 1 on 1. Sooner or later that method results on her getting ganged up by the time the mech is totaled. She is meant to defensively assist her teammates while offensively flanking enemies focused on them, and that only works at the presence of nearby teammates.

Those boosters are useful for a ton of situations, like disrupting other heroes, knocking 'em off cliffs, rushing to the frontlines, escaping from danger, denying Deadeye with Defense Matrix, mobility, and saving an escaping, injured teammate.

Her abilities are fine. Her passive gives you a second chance in the battlefield while giving you an opportunity to assist in eliminations. She can disrupt and deny other heroes when in the right position at the right time. Her ultimate backs enemies away at worst while giving teammates a chance to approach objectives with ease.

I think she's fine as she is right now.

if you're getting analy raped by a chris kyle tier widow/hanzo, you just go winston and annhilate them until they switch or rage quit. that's literally his function, very situational pick

Other times you pop out of your mech with fuckin 25 health because of splash damage, or because people are hitting you even though you are still inside the mech and cant actually react in any way.
It needs a few invuln frames

Jump away as soon as you're done and hope you're not killed mid jump because you've probably lost minimum 250 HP by this point.

Winston is very situational but he works well in those situations.

happens to me all the time, Mei's are troublesome but very killable, Winstons are a free kill - you just have to go for the Jugular, dont falter if you are fighting 1 vs 1, and dont be afraid to boost twice during a gun fight.

Zaryas.... even with a team backing you up shen can quickly destroy your mech.
