I hate JRPGs and have never played one for two or more hours
Which one would I enjoy the most?

chrono trigger
Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood
this blows a lot of turn based rpgs that cam out recently
Pokemon
Terranigma / Secret of Evermore for example
There are pretty much no good JRPGs.
People only dicksuck them because they're made by a Japanese person.
Grandia 2
Still thinks the name JRPG has anything to do with the country or people that make the game.
Dark Souls 3, it straddles the line between wrpg and jrpg and it's the easiest iteration
It doesn't though. All the Dark Souls games are wrpgs.
>a game made in Japan
>by Japanese people
>mainly for a Japanese platform
>borrowing heavily from a Japanese comic series
>is somehow a western game
I dunno anymore
We need new names for wrpgs and jrpgs.
DS has western-influenced world aesthetics but pretty much everything else is dweebtastic
As someone who also prefers western stuff I pretty much second that, OP. At least give it a try, dweebshit is pretty tame in that game.
FF13
Is this low quality bait? Of course it does.
Only to the extent that the style was popularized in Japan. Being made in Japan does not make it a JRPG - the way the game plays makes it a JRPG.
>implying turn based rpg = JRPG
>implying action based rpg = WRPG
kys
Why force it then? I don't like platformers so I don't play them. Same with racing games.
I didn't imply that, you just inferred it.
Holy fuck you're dumb.
Japan didn't invent turn based combat you underage dipshit.
So if The Elder Scrolls games were made in Japan you would call those JRPGs?
Yes.
i like the Tales series because the combat is usually decent. They are chock fucken full of anime tropes though.
Yeah. Who wouldn't?
good game
