Did you enjoy Nuka World?

Did you enjoy Nuka World?

What would a Nuka World made by Obsidian be like?
Could Obsidian make a themepark-esque DLC better than Bethesda?

Can you go ahead and hop down off Obsidian's dick sometime soon?

Obsidian has issues with the technical aspects of their games. What obsidian IS good at is taking other people's IPs and fucking nailing the intended atmosphere while improving storytelling.

Not that guy but it sounds like a legit question. Bethesda and Obsidian do things differently.

maybe
they'd probably put much more story in the DLC
NW was just a big shooting arena

>What obsidian IS good at is taking other people's IPs and fucking nailing the intended atmosphere while improving storytelling.

name 5

They struggle w technical aspects because their budgets suck

it depends on who's writing

i think if sawyer was writing/designing it it'd be good but while i know he doesn't work at obsidian anymore if avellone wrote it he'd make a good story and find a way to make it an absolute boring slog to play

the biggest problem was nearly all the quests are collection stuff. and not enough dialog

1)improved factions
2)more options in completing the main story quest
3)no black and white "this side is good and that side is evil"
4)you get to see more detail of the repercussions of your actions
5)the dlcs were miles ahead of fallout 3s

Star Wars
Fallout
South Park
Neverwinter

Oops only could name four guess you win the argument faggot

They also may just be sloppy or put more focus on other things. Some studios are just like that. Who knows

You're 4 games short

obsidian should do another alpha protocol

I would say that obsidian is more of better at taking a template and making a fucking great cake out of it.
after all two of their most well known games ammong normal people (Kotor 2 and Fallout NV) pretty much had half the work already done, all they did was pretty much make a total conversion mod and sell it

I appreciate the effort that Bethesda put into NW, it was more colorful and interesting then the base game. Unfortunately the writing was still unbearable. The moment I walked into the gauntlet and heard that announcer I wanted to put a bullet in my brain.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think all the npcs are killable. Glad that some pointers were taken from good ol' NV.

Other than some extreme cases of scavenger hunting deluxe, the exploration and the areas was pretty good.

The quests however, not so much. A couple of sidequests was fun, but the mainquests are all quite boring.

Also some lore oddity in here. Why is there an X 01 suit of PA locked in a prewar exhibition??!

Why is there hubologists here? They belong in California.

Really hoped this would be a wacky Far Harbor like questline with all kinds of options and nonsense.

It is not. Kinda disappointed.

If Obsidian had written the plot, it would have been better.

>Why is there an X 01 suit of PA locked in a prewar exhibition??!
>Why is there hubologists here? They belong in California.

Who fucking cares?

Fallout was their fucking creation

Its not supposed to be there. Its just sloppy.

Maybe you should actually look at the history of the subject before you go and post ignorant horseshit on the internet next time you fucking faggot.

>Obsidian has issues with the technical aspects of their games

And Bethesda doesn't?

Bethesda's fallout is the lowest common denominator lol so random fucking garbage.

Bethesda stories are bland at best and aggressively stupid at worst, their characters are idiotic and shallow caricatures, and their world building is nonexistant, just look how they threw out a perfect template for Fallout 3/4 and TES oblivion and Skyrim.

They're fucking shit and anything good about them left long ago after Morrowind.

Bethesda just got rekt, shills.

Bump to front page.

People are still playing this stinking pile of steaming horseshit? I gave up before I could even finish the main story, I just couldn't hande the boredom and frustration anymore.

No, the new weapons are either utter shit or incredibly broken, also the pallette swaps are fucking awful

Lore-wise it doesn't make sense for this distraught father to suddenly switch from looking for Shaun to raiding settlements

People say Bethesda is allways good at making theme parks and the one time they literally do one, they still fail

>Who cares about writing and worldbuilding? You know... 2 things that have allways been important to the Fallout universe

So is Fallout 4 at a point yet where it's tolerable with mods? I got it cheap forever ago but never got around to playing it. Some of the webms make the game look comfy as fuck, especially in that weird yellow foggy area I always see.

>caring about lore

What are you, some kind of no-life nerd?

>Confirmed for never touching a book
>owns folders filled with reaction images of smug anime girls
>calls others no-life nerds

sudoku yourself please

When I originally bought fo4 I was very disappointed, I know a lot of people were, but after the survival patch, I actually had a fuck ton of fun, the downfall was the writing, the perks and the voiced protagonist

I enjoyed it enough, it's okay.
The raider settlement content was dumb though, they should let you keep control of settlements you've moved your raiders into.

>3/4 of the DLC is all settlement fluff shit
>add DLC that removes player agency in settlements in order to progress

Nuka World is shit, not that the base game itself was much better.
