You preordered it, right?

You preordered it, right?

If it flops or if you pirate it, say goodbye to DQ11 ever leaving Japan.

pirating it

>You preordered it

No since I'm going to be the only one in the city buying it.

Yup.

>Best Buy
>Pre-ordering
Had a $25 gift card to use.

...

>just played the JP DQH2 demo
>only get as far as getting Torneco on your party

Suffering.

Ah. That's cool. What did you think of it so far?

More of the same, a lot better graphics and loading, pop-in isn't as bad as the first. MCs play just the heroes from the first also.

Also played the Builders demo, a lot more fun than I expected, looking forward to that next month.

Music is butchered, translation is butchered, of course I'm pirating it.

I see. Thanks. The first game was okay.

>Builders
That looks alright too.

>translation is butchered
>Same translation that SquareEnix has used on Dragon Quest since VIII, including all the DS remakes.

Just admit you're too poor to afford games.

Aye, gonna keep my finger crossed for Heroes 2 localization.

I feel there's a good chance we'll get DQH2.

Hope you're right. I'm happy with what's been announced as long as XI is guaranteed. Though Rocket Slime and Monsters 3DS titles would be cool too.

yes i did since it was pretty cheap on amazon, never played DQ tough

Same.

I did my part

shame about the music but it's better than no DQ at all

I'll buy and pirate it
Mostly because I want the physical copy and the convenience of not needing to swap out carts

Good. I want this series dead.

Is the DQH2 demo still Vita only? No way am I going through hoops to change the region settings.

No. I got both on PS4 within a minute of creating an account.

Wasn't aware there was a time it was Vita only though.

Fuck, thank you for reminding me.

Well shit, I'll have to download it now.

I'm actually not sure where I got Vita only from, but I remember there not being a demo when it came out.

>say goodbye to DQ11 ever leaving Japan

The 3DS version sure, but SE will more than likely put the PS4 version out and then put it on Steam later on.

...

>want replay and do the neutral ending of SMT4, play SMT4 Final when it comes out, and finish DQ6 before i get to 7 (as i just finished 5, and doing the games in chronological order)
>realize by the time i'm done with this we'll probably be in November if i rush where more games are out and coming out so who knows how long it'd before i get to this game
>want to support the game but realize buying DQ7 would just be another game i have on backlog
what do

Guessing Heroes 2 will come over soon because Koei. As for Builders I'm actually excited. Always felt Minecraft didn't have any structure to get me interested. So them adding stuff like story, characters, ect is exactly the game I need in my life.
November
>DQ7
>PW6
>Maybe YW2
October
>World of Final Fantasy
>Dragon Quest Builders
November
>Pokemon
God fucking damn it why the fuck is there so many RPG coming out at once. Guess I'm happy DQ8 is pushed back to give it some breathing room.

Also funny how this moth is 3DS only games for me. Next is Vita only games and November is just Pokemon.
Right now Nintendo is the one clamming mainline DQ games. DQ6, 9, 7, and 8 are all done by Nintendo. And if they agree to publish 11 on NX (which is likely because Nintendo wants as many games on that system all over the world as possible) good bye to PS4 because they will most likely make the agreement for the PS4 never seeing outside of Japan.

Already played it, no need to buy twice.

>God fucking damn it why the fuck is there so many RPG coming out at once.
>September
>CS2
>DQ7
>SMT4 Final

God damn it all.

Does this game have good gameplay, or is it just JRPG interactive novel narrative garbage?

Lucky for me I fucking hated SMT4 and have no reason to buy a slightly different version of that. As for Coldsteel 2 I would buy it but for some reason I just couldn't really get into 1. I didn't hate it I just didn't really enjoy it enough to keep playing. And just noticed I fucked up and put November instead of September.

The gameplay is walking back and forth towns hoping you find the right NPC to trigger the next event.

I'm still torn between this one and SMT4A. I'm getting both eventually sure, but sell me on DQ VII. I've played IV as well, but hated so much I played it for less than 3 hours, so it doesn't count. So I'll wipe the slate clean, and basically consider this my first DQ.

Am I just looking at a classic RPG touched up to look pretty, or is there something more going on here? I'm not saying I have any issue with the former of course, as I already noted I will be getting it eventually. Just deciding which to get first since they're releasing so close together.

Job system with turn based combat. I thought it was pretty fun.

Both

>but hated so much

Fuck you I love 4 its one of the best DQ

I'm pirating it because I never played a DQ game, so I'm not shelling 40$ on a game I might or might not like. If I do like it, I'll buy the next game though.
