He drew proper anatomy plenty of times (for example all of his designs for VC1, for starters), thing is when he's doing his own thing and not contractual work under specific guidelines he just draws what he wants to draw and that is his fetishes for slim, bodies with long legs and torpedo tits.

His VC designs for the actual game are quite grounded in reality for the most part. Just read the art books.

Yeah, man, good thing military academies don't exist in reality. We don't need those weeaboos.

Granted, it works logically, but hardly invokes the whole 'wartime' feel the first game captured so well.

It went from war story to anime cliché, and it could've been so much more than that.

It starts out slow when the characters are going through basic training and mock fights with each other, but after midway, the game gets way more hectic and difficult than VC1 ever was. If the intense missions don't give you a sense of wartime, then I don't know what the fuck does. The original game was way more cliche anyway.

And the third game was the best in the series. Them being PSP-exclusive was the only thing that went wrong with the series.
