>hearthstone ever more popular than LoL
shit games
league is the most popular by player count, and always was
This was clearly made by a /dmr/ drone. Dota is nowhere near that difficult just because it has an absurd number of hero and item combinations, its execution floor is almost mash face on keyboard tier for 50% of heroes and still not even above CS:GO for another 40%, and since 6.82 it has zero tactical depth and is almost as bad as HS.
What it means is stop worshipping Valve like a god. They're hideously incompetent and you just don't know better yet.
What's DMR
>includes such skills as precise mouse movement and also actual skills
Arenafags will do anything to pretend hitscan shooters are not braindead.
DOTA2 and LoL are the same game, with identical gameplay.
>assfaggot
>difficult
>high skill ceiling
lomao
Wrong, the way things are going now all moba's will be complete dumbed down shit compared to what they were before, the constant spoon feed and meta changes have been directed towards a younger audience to gain $$$.
Hardest games right now would probably be SC 2/BW
Why aren't you a millionaire right now?
Last international dota 2 championship had a prize pool of about 20 million.
>12 year old's understanding of history
Because I don't want to waste my time and debase myself by playing genres made for cucks, I only play starcraft and games that actually require some thought unlike the troglodyte catering assfaggots
Oh ok. You're just retarded. You are literally turning away from free millions since dota is so easy and has low skill ceiling.
You have 10 seconds to explain why you are not playing this masterpiece right now.
> Thoughts?
Probably posted by an insecure virgin who is trying to make himself feel better by prentending his game takes more skill than everything else he posted. (It doesn't, only beats Hearthstone and LoL and maybe CS)
then why aren't you winning millions if it's so easy
...
Because you are beating other players, not the game.
It is still way easier to become an average Dota2 player than to become an average SC:BW player.
You could make thousands out of sucking dick as well.
shut the fuck up kid
everyone can abuse the low skill ceiling reducing it to a game of luck
so hearthstone tier
>comparing thousands to millions
Assfaggotposters are actually this retarded.
youtube.com
Never played heathstone but given how the most casual tards I know enjoy it im sure its a joke less complicated than pokemon tcg
Dota and LoL are literally the same game, and didn't LoL peak at like 60 million players while Dota only got like 10 million?
Yeah sure. That's why the average matchmaking rating is 2k while all pros have above 7k.
>slowwalk point-and-click
>more skill than microing a band of niggers or leading an erratically moving target while predicting which teleport will he go through
the difference being sucking dick is fun
Average is about 3,5 K I think.
I think this is a pretty good bait image.
The posters who reply to this and say it isn't trying to bait... aren't doing such a good job at baiting.
Arguments too hard for you buddy?
Lets try this:
DOTA BAD
Did that get through?
>Thoughts?
you should probably kill you'reself
the very few heroes with RNG arent really used in the meta, and havent in a while, same with the RNG items so theres literally no luck involved in competitive settings
...
Took a break a few years ago.
Now it seems too hard to get back in D:
I am.
Trying to get ass fuck runecrafting pet literally 10 million experience gained since it came out and still no pet and some guy with only level 85 got it and i'm fuckingdaasfd mad holy fuck
>any of these games
>taking more skill than SF4
lol
> starcraft brood war is easier then cs 1.6
> cs is that far away from csgo
> dota is the "hardest game"
everything else is mostly in the right place, league and dota should be in same place.
starcraft 2 and brood war moved more right, quake should be off this mortal plane
bad bait
>Average level of skill play determines if the game is actually hard or not
This is like saying a fighting game's difficulty is based on how fucking fast average players mash all their buttons.
Playing the 5k to 7k climb takes a ton of fucking skill and dedication.
Even people who just spam 1 hero need to know map and enemy movement awareness.
>selecting probes over and over again
massive skill right there
Dota is like more casual LoL.
Every SF game before 4 took more skill.
SF4 is babbies first SF.
>this thread
>Quake aka rocket spam simulator
>harder than SC2
>harder than anything that isn't a walking simulator
lmao
>muh skill
>muh rank
...
>Average level of skill play determines if the game is actually hard or not
I would say so. Its what affects the vast majority of players, and it affects how long it would take you to be midly profficient at the game. You analogy doesn't really make sense.
Getting mildly good at DoTA2 mostly requires game knowledge (reading alone will mostly get you there).Getting mildly good at a fighter or SC2 requires game knowledge and a shitton of muscle memory
Getting to the top of almost *anything* is always going to be hard regardless of what you are playing.
LoL was,is and will be far more popular than all of those games together. That shit game has a yearly revenue of over a billion dollars
It is like more successful than the top 5 playstation games every year
>Any of those games being harder than Brood War
hahahaha
>reading alone will mostly get you there
Nice reaction pic buddy.
But its true.
MOBAs don't really require a lot of mechanical skill other than not falling asleep during team fights compared to RTS, FPS or fighting games. A bit of reaction time, aiming and you are done for most heroes.
Game knowledge and minimap awareness is 80% of what you need.
If CSGO has such a low skill ceiling then post your account stats. Tell me what team you're playing on next season. Tell me what place you got in the last major.
you're wrong
kill yourself
dota 2 takes incredible mental discipline and willpower
Fn4tic.
>cs 1.6 with more skill ceiling than cs go
i wonder if this guy actually played any of the them
Why do you keep praising mechanical skill
It's literally the lamest excuse to say SC2 is hard. It's like someone saying Tinker is the hardest hero because it has very high apm!!!!!
Repeating stuff over and over takes literally no skill.
Chess doesn't have any kind of mechanical skill and look how it went for thousands of years.
>dota harder than warcraft
>street fighter harder than starcraft
>starcraft 2 more popular than 1
>Skill = Knowledge
Fuck off and go die in a fire forever
>Team-based game harder than 1v1 games
kek'd
I'm 5,5k and he's 100% right, and unless your benchmark is higher than that I suggest you stop playing games entirely because you don't know anything
Fixed it.
Video games aren't hard.
this
>le Dota is hard meme xD
even in LoL you can't blink + stun + instagib someone which in Dota is viable on all fucking melee carries
Agreed, pretty epic
Sc2 easy. Dota2 hard.
Laughinggirls.jpg
it cannot be
Starcraft 2 takes incredible discipline and willpower
Clash of Clans takes incredible discipline and willpower
Jacking myself off takes incredible discipline and willpower
That phrase means literally nothing and can be applied to anything. Being good at anything takes that.
...
this
shut the fuck up kid
Yeah, I mean, spamming itself is not particularly interesting. But here is the thing - high mechanical requirements are not something that is arbitrarily imposed, it is something that naturally emerges from the game mechanics.
For example, in DoTA2 you interact with the world with a single character (assume we are talking about one of the more normal heroes) who has the ability to attack, cast someabilities and use a set of items you buy. Managing your economy is not fundamentally different from keeping your hero alive, farming and killing enemies - it takes care of itself if you are playing right.
In a game like Starcraft you interact with the world differently. You have to control your army (which is more complex than managing a single unit most of the time) to maximize its effectiveness. Its partly about control and APM but it is also about tactics, knowing terrain and how it benefits you and knowing priorities. You also have to control your economy. In DoTA2 economy is little more than managing combat risk/reward. In SC2 they are separate entities you have to balance.
In reality the thing that is hard about SC2 is not APM. By typing you already have pro-gamer APM. What makes it hard is that you are multitasking entirely different things in different location
In DoTA2 you are mostly managing your hero and staying aware of the minimap, and occasionally engaging in combat. Economy takes care of itself if you are doing the above. Build strategy you usually know before the match starts of little after depending on the enemy team composition - the game structure is usually relatively stable, there is an early game, a mid game and usually things only start varying greatly past that point.
Game structure only depends on the players in SC2. Money is acquired from the map not periodically spawned by a structure you have no control over.
yeah i too was surprised to see nobody get it and take it seriously instead
FUCK
XD

SFIV was not that popular at all. No incarnation of it did League numbers.
Dumbasses neo-Sup Forums, go back to your fucking subreddits.
SFV tho
>Diablo 3
>Taking more skill to play than Street Fighter 4
Just made the entire list retarded, invalidated and made me think less of you.
>replying to obvious bait
Guys that say lol= dota have literally no idea what they're talking about.
As far as that infographic goes though dota should be higher and a bit to the right of cs.
sc2 should be to the left of cs.
>dota should be higher and a bit to the right
lol
the same game is listed twice, and is on both ends of the skill axis, nice graph
>Diablo 3
>LoL and DotA on separate ends of the skill spectrum
The two games are almost identical, and DotA's higher complexity is undermined by its lack of need for mechanical skill. Everything relevant in DotA is point and click, while LoL primarily uses skillshots.
>Dota and hearthstone more popular than league
What monkey made this?
I think you are autistic, a retard, and a dota2/general moba faggot insisting your shit games have any approbation here.
>The two games are almost identical
You have no clue what you're talking about.
>watching a jungler rotate through his camps at the beginning
>wtaching someone scout in the early game
>not watching teamfights or anything else that would judge the game
also leagues a team game which is where the real difficulty in getting 4 other people to work properly makes it difficult, an rts is entirely upon you
I wouldnt rate the two the same in any regard because you cant carry 4 other people in LOL like you could in an FPS or RTS even
>not mario party 3 the objectively best game in the series
one job user
...
>DOTA2 and LoL are the same game, with identical gameplay.
No.
Dota has all the champions unlocked from the start while LoL champions must be unlocked with IP.
Dota has an absurd number of item combinations that do really menial and pointless shit while LoL has less combinations that are at least meaningful.
You have to buy items at your base in LoL while in Dota they can be delivered to you.
Other than that they play almost the same.
You're literally retarded.
Say what you want about the quality of the base game but it is anything but easy.
If you're using cheap as fuck champions that require no skill like Garen, Swain, or Yorick then yeah you're not going to have a rough time because they don't require much help from their team. Pretty much everyone else requires some form of support in order to do well.
If it's so easy I'd love to see you solo a game 1v5.
All I'm saying is that fighting games are the undisputed hardest games to do well in.
dota is literally full of RNG with everything in the game being RNG while in LoL RNG is kept to a minimum.
dota has no runes or masteries or any equivalent
What rng.
Most random in dota is pseudorandom and games are not decided by a single crit/fight unlike in league or by a single fuckup like SC.
lol
Is it bad that I don't remember what the icon on the far right is?
So, how does Arma rate? Not sure if it's skill so much as a matter of being organised vs being a disparate bunch of retarded pubbies
