Hey, Sup Forums, is TESO actually good now? B "good" I mean "fun and playable non-target MMO"?
Im asking since Humble Store have it 50% off and while I would rather want 75% off, this is fine too and since game no longer use subs system, only operating on "pay once" model, I was seriously considering it.
Or I would screw over by buying a game that would require to pump twice as much miney for expansions or something?
ESO is excellent, buy it from g2a/kinguin though. ESO gold (game + all important expansions for ~$60) is also released/releasing soon.
Genuinely the best MMO I've ever played, and I've played almost all of them, including the weeb garbage.
Thomas Jones
Shit combat and boring looking armor the game is pretty meh
Owen Scott
>buy it from g2a/kinguin though
No, thanks, Im not going to pay for stolen keys.
>ESO gold (game + all important expansions for ~$60) is also released/releasing soon.
So it doesnt make a sense to buy now or what?
Eli Robinson
ESO is not an rpg.
Isaiah Powell
And what it is?
How shit?
I mean, I want some MMO with non-target combat. "Target-based" aka "stand in place, press 1-9 keys until enemy dies" are things of the past.
Nathaniel Anderson
it's eh if you really want an mmo and are hellbent on not playing WoW i'd say it's the right choice
Jack Roberts
It's an MMO at heart, and you have to remember about that. It's NOT Skyrim online.
That being said it's the best MMO I've ever played. There are some quite interesting quests, actually well written characters and interesting and beautiful locations. It's also a lot less grindy and repetitive than most MMOs, not much fetch or "kill x amount of y" quests. The graphics are pretty nice too. Combat is very meh, but that's true for most MMOs.
Don't listen to the memers who shit on it. It had a very week start and beta, but most of it's issues have been fixed a long time ago.
Overall it's the only MMO I would actually consider a good and enjoyable game, but it's still a MMO.
Austin Sanchez
>I mean, I want some MMO with non-target combat. There are many but none of them are particularly good >"Target-based" aka "stand in place, press 1-9 keys until enemy dies" are things of the past. I bet you never did any raids in target based mmorpg
Jayden Brooks
If it's so good why isn't anyone playing it
Michael Parker
Maybe, once you delude yourself that the game has nothing to do with the elder scrolls lore or the elder scrolls in any way
Joseph Collins
Huh, I play it on PS4 and it's always super populated.
Camden Brown
>No, thanks, Im not going to pay for stolen keys. You fell for the meme >So it doesnt make a sense to buy now or what? $60 for everything is a great price, so wait for that.
David Wright
Gold edition with all DLC has already released on Steam.
The combat is pretty good I think, it's not about playing a piano like other MMOs. It has less depth but it works well. Only having 5 ability slots means you have to be more careful with what you bring into battle.
Easton Jones
>Combat is very meh, but that's true for most MMOs.
This actually bugs me most.
I want MMO with interesting combat. While grindly, repetitive and limited in many aspects, Invidctus made me stay for nice time, simply because of intense combat.
I dont know if Black Desert have good combat, but it cost more and use shitty rootkit anticheat crap. Plus, people are reporting that devs went full retard with item shop.
I did, once, it was boring as hell.
Besides, I dont care about raids at all. In my opinion, focus on "endgame" and "50+ people raids" and grind for equipment is what kills the genre.
Not a problem, I can treat it as "inspired".
Jackson Diaz
>Only having 5 ability slots means you have to be more careful with what you bring into battle.
Something like GW2? I liked it, really.
Jayden Rivera
>DODGE NOW, EXECUTE NOW, DODGE NOW, EXECUTE NOW
Weird, I never saw such info in gameplay vids I watched before.
Could be this guy using some add-on?
James Johnson
>Besides, I dont care about raids at all. In my opinion, focus on "endgame" and "50+ people raids" and grind for equipment is what kills the genre. mmorpgs are not for you play world of tanks, war thunder or warframe
Parker Ward
>In my opinion, focus on "endgame" and "50+ people raids" and grind for equipment is what kills the genre.
Oh, so you want a game with zero endgame content and no tab targetting. GW2 is your game then. "Enjoy", you stupid faglord
Noah Brown
This has to be either a mod, or some setting I've never used, because I've never had messages like that displaying. Enemies have red or yellow auras signalising what kind of attack they're going to use but that's it. I think you can even turn it off in options.
Nathaniel Harris
Check the description, he says he has a lot of UI mods. That isn't in vanilla. I prefer a minimalist UI, this is what my screen looks like.
Jordan Peterson
>GW2 is your game then
Thanks, I already have around 750 hours in it and just wanted to play something different.
Nah, I want interesting content before raid things hit in. PvP, dungeons and exploration, that sort of things. Gw2 was close to doing it right.
William Williams
>I dont know if Black Desert have good combat it does but everything else is shitty
Levi Fisher
Sounds good.
As for "gold edition", Im living in Poland and it will get soon box version, for 150 PLN (or 34 EUR, if you would use current exchange rate). That 50% off would cost me 20 EUR (aka 88).
So, would you suggest waiting for that gold instead?
Carter Walker
okay, so you get to venture into other regions in Tamriel?
Jackson Powell
Well grind for endgame equipment is unfortunately here(it's not so heavy though), but if you can play PvE to the last levels without problems, ESO has so much PvE content that you can completely ignore PvP if you want. Hell, you could easily complete it purely singleplayer, but I don't see any sense in that, it's better to just play a singleplayer game.
Aiden Reyes
Well, hello fellow Polefag. From what I heard the expansions are pretty worth it (never played them myself though), but the game has so much vanilla content that you can easily do without them.
BTW if you'll decide to buy it, I'm looking for people to play with, none of my friends are willing to buy it, so I'm stuck with random Germans and Czechs.
Adam Cruz
The PvP servers (cyrodil) are almost entirely full at all times. Only exception being the "below level 50" one and even that still has decent enough population to not be empty.
Parker Jenkins
ALL of the regions.
Kevin Nelson
Thanks for opinion, I guess I will ask on vg general later, too.
Leo Murphy
I played the shit out of GW2 at release, up until a few months before heart of thorns. Its just shit now, anet consistantly made the game worse with every update. TESO had a bad launch, but has taken the opposite path as GW2, zenimax consistantly improves the game with every update. I have been playing TESO in recent months and ive been loving it. Its only going to get better when they add dueling soon.
Colton Miller
I wouldnt say it is shit, they didnt improve on too much things, but it is still fun.
But does that mean that TESO might fits me even more?
