Nah it's shit, m8. Worst controller I've ever used. Just fucking awful.
How does it compare to the 360 one? Or even the PS4 controller if you've used any of these
Personally speaking I prefer the DS4 as you can use the trackpad for mouse-input (with the DS4 tool)
But if you're more comfortable with the xbox controller than the pro controller is pretty good, personally, the analog stick on the left gives me hand cramps, I prefer to have my analog sticks lower (like on the DS4)
All that being said, if you like the form factor of the xbox controller, it's pretty great for emulation and most modern games support it natively, the DS4 requires a little more setup but personally, I like being able to use the track pad as a mouse for launchers and shit.
it's good but overpriced
You buy, for less money
amazon.com
Two knockoff PS3 controllers, $20 for a two-pack so you can play with a friend.
for 8 bucks, so you're in the hole less than one of those controllers.
Install SCPDriver, register both controllers to bluetooth and have a grand old time.
I'm kidding. It's pretty good, but I still prefer the bumpers on the 360.
No the 360 controller has a faster response time than this and DS4. Too bad the 360 controller is gay as fuck.
Oh, I almost forgot, if you get a DS4 you'll need a bluetooth dongle to get it to work wirelessly.
(Ignore the DS4 official dongle as it is overpriced and limits the functionality of the trackpad)
It's plug and play. Probably the best controller I've used since the 360 pad. The 360 pad is slightly better in some aspects, ergonomically for example, but this one at least has a proper dpad.
Fair warning, I've had issues with knock-off PS3 controllers, some of them have lag even when used with a PS3, but your mileage may vary.
Get a 360 controller instead.
The Xbox One controller has some nice features, but it ended up being far less comfortable than my 360 controller. The relative position of the triggers / bumpers forced me to contort my hands in a way that became painful after a few hours of play.
Also the thumbsticks get much dirtier, and are much harder to clean out than the 360 thumbsticks.
You're not wrong. They are indeed incredibly cheap. These P3 seem to be the best of the bunch but I'm not gonna kid myself over the shit quality.
i dunno but i used the shit out of my 360's. now they dont center well.
Just get a wired 360 controller senpai
this
>360 controller
I find the comfort of the triggers better and more solid than that of the 360. Without the battery bulge.
They're made that way for grip, it's why people mod their DS4s to have xbox thumbs.
10/10 controller honestly.
Get a DS3 for pressure sensitive buttons which you will need if you ever want to emulate the PS2 games that use them (like MGS). Otherwise anything works, the 360 d-pad is spotty but it's the cheapest good controller.
You don't need a dongle. DS4 works fine with any Bluetooth capable computer.
He's probably making the assumption that it's a built computer and bluetooth isn't something that people usually think of.
It's okay, but I'd recommend a 360 controller because they're more solid and will last through pretty much any torture you inflict upon it short of bashing it with a hammer.
Try holding them both if you can to test it out. The Xbox One controller feels light and flimsy in your hands and the plastic feels cheap. The bumpers are prone to failure and after 50 hours of holding the left bumper down in Dark Souls III it's become fiddly and doesn't click down right. The cheap Logitech 360 knockoff I was using before lasted through Dark Souls I+II and still feels fine so I'm kinda pissed that an official product was so jank. Especially when the last iteration was so good.
Just get a DS4 and use it for PC, its fucking great.
-Xbox360 is still better (bigger everything, non-shit bumpers) and cheaper.
-DS4 has some neat PC functionality with the touchpad and also an extra button over the Xbone controller
Get either of those instead.
The newer ones with audio jacks have the same exact bumpers as a 360pad.
if you go the wired 360 controller, for about 10 dollars cheaper than the official one you can get a rock candy version, i bought one to play dark souls with and it worked well. the only thing is it has a hard plastic feel on the shell and the thumbsticks compared to the matte finish on the og360; i bought an official 360 controller a few months after and actually prefer the feel of that one. just something to consider i guess
Naw pham
The shoulder buttons are crappy compared to the 360's, but everything else, especially the d-pad, is so much better. I'd like to say it's my emulation controller, but I'm using the Pokken controller for that.
This was my experience using the console controllers:
>Xbone:
-You'll have to download drivers from M$ if you don't have Windows 10
+D-pad is nice, making it usable for 2D console emus, esp when compared to the 360 pad
-The triggers might give you trouble due to the way how some apps treat them, making you unable to hold both triggers at the same time.
+/- The stick layout might not be suitable for certain games/emulators
>DS4:
+Works out of the box as a simple DirectInput device
-You'll need special drivers and apps if you want to make full use of the controller and have Xinput compatibillity
-Setting up controls in ePSXe is a bitch
+/- Stick layout may not be comfy for you, but is nearly perfect for emulator use.
It's good but if you're getting a pad for emulation, get the PS4 one. The touch pad can be bound to do a lot of shit like take screenshots, load/save states, etc.
I prefer the Xbone pad - DS4 sticks are a bit slippy for me
it's the best controller you can get for pc.
...
Xbox Elite is, by a slight margin, the best boomerang style controller I ever used. Would never recommend it to students, niggers or favelamonkeys though
>emulation and other PC games
>emulation
Do yourself a favor and just get a DS3. Nothing beats that d-pad. Don't let people tell you need that godawful MotionInjoy or whatever it's called either.
Here's what you need. I have yet to run into any game where it doesn't work 100%.

If of course, you need wireless for any reason this is not such a great option. Neither is the 360 because of the suckage that is the d-pad.
Fightsticks are pretty fun for retro stuff too btw.
Nice try M$

>tfw still using a DS3 when people are showing off their DS4's and Xbone Elite controllers
the DS4 is a fucking turd dude
I bought one for that reason, but wind up just using my DS3 anyway since it's better.
...
A poor student, negro or a slumdog spotted
I never tried it but I heard its a comfy controller in your hands, plus the L2/R2 buttons are supposed to feel better than the DS3 ones
It's bretty good. I prefer it over the DS4 for general pee cee gaymen usage. I use a Buffalo SNES gamepad for emulation though (and the DS4 for PS2 emulation of course).
Get the S controller if you're gonna buy an Xbone pad though.
just get a 360 controller half the price and works perfect
I really like the controller, very comfortable also when playing longer. I prefer the layout over the Dual Shock one, but that can be different for someone else. Build quality is nice, it's a little heavier than other controllers that I've used, which makes it feel less like a cheaper plastic toy.
