A creative series fom the director of the first Silent Hill game

>A creative series fom the director of the first Silent Hill game
>Owned by a company whose video game division is all about games pretending to be movies and brown haired dudes in their 30's

Why does Sony even own IP's that they know wont sell on the shit taste of casual consumers?

Does something like Gravity Rush only exists to secretly make The Last Of Us look like shit?

And why do they keep series like Ape Escape and Parappa under the dirt?

Just shut up and buy a PS4.

I'll just buy the game without owning a PS4

I mean i do own a PS4 but rarely touch it.

6 years from now on PS now?

I don't know, maybe?

Sony gives their devs freedom to do what they want so the shitty western devs always opt for some kind of shitty movie wannabe while SCEJ goes on to make masterpieces.

Too bad GR isn't that popular but at least the Tomaya cares moer about its quality than the popularity.

I can't wait.

This is my GOTY

If money wasn't a thing sony would have continued to pump out interesting fun games.

Fact is, they don't make enough money.
Shooters and cinematic games however do.

gr2 sales will be abysmal.

This is why i hate casuals.

The Japs are fine with making more niche games. I doubt Sony will stop any time soon since that niche is fairly profitable despite being small. The fans are dedicated and they buy merchandise and CDs on top of the game.

That's good to hear.

Is there more good Kat cosplay?

when sony let monster hunter go to nintendo I lost all faith in them and their business decisions. monster hunter would have carried the vita

Besides GR, what are other games that are good but unpopular and didn't sell that much?

That was just Capcom. Nothing to do with Sony.

twewy
okami
also odin sphere and gg revelator are good sony exclu that don't seem to be relevant for some reason

There's a huge difference between Sony Japan and Sony A Shit in the west.

I like to think of a Ape Escape/Gravity Rush crossover, how would you do this idea?

Gravity Rush isn't even that good. The combat sucks dick and the motion controls on Vita are fucking atrocious.

Feels more like you are jealous of those games and are trying to find a justification as to why you'll never play them.
Reminds me when I was in middle school and made up shit like saying that Sega bought Pokémon from Nintendo because I couldn't afford a Gameboy Advance.

What are you talking about?
It's Nintendo that kills and buries any unpopular IP, and also prevents those games from reaching our shores even if they were already localized (see project rainfall)

2016 has been a fucking explosion of AA games on every Sony platform, what are you smocking?

GrandKingdom, WitchtheBitch, GundamBreaker3, GravityRushPS4, OdinSphereLeifthrasir, EDF4.1 on EU, Digimon Cybersleuth, StarOcean5, a shit ton of fighting games (GG, JoJo, and at least 2 more I can't recall) and even the cancer that is Atlier and Neptunia.

That's this year alone, the first half only, and I'm sure I'm still forgetting about a handful of games. Sony is far from only being a AAA massmarket powerhouse, it has just as much, if not more, niche stuff.

Ape Escape being raped is why i don't trust Sony with their IP's

>My one favorite game isn't recieving the attention I want right at this moment, so I will ignore the other dozens of AA titles and the love they are getting because my feefees are hurt

Look, I could hold them up for MediEvil or some shit, that doesn't change the fact that there are still dozens of AA games coming out every quarter. No company can have a constant stream of games from IPs they own being developed and released ALL the time. To meet your standards Sony would have to release all their existing IPs since the PS1 days at least once per year. It's impossible, and new IPs are the best thing to focus on anyway.

What if their studios stop making new IP's? They can't come up with new ideas forever.

I'm looking forward to this, so it's a shame the fanbase ignores it because of "muh anime" or just general disinterest.
I really enjoyed the first game even with it's glaring flaws. It really had soul.

I always thought that otaku's and NEET's are usually big spenders on vidya. Casuals are just happy with the next CoD or NHL which is not exclusive.

Apparently, SCE likes to throw money behind oddball projects every so often for the sake of artistry in the medium or something along those lines. Gravity Rush is an example.

Sony Japan tends to understand that video games aren't about being movies.

>Both it and FFXV come out within 2 days from each other
December gonna be comfy as fuck

>That's why I hate casuals
Well, they abandoned the original platform where all the fans were. It's not surprising that it wouldn't sell well on the PS4, especially in the West.

The thing is that Nintendo make 1 or 2 games of any series and move on to the next console or project. Sony make 3 - 5 or even more if works, they keep milking everything if is a hit and when everyone is sick of it they bury down.

I know that everyone is asshurt because Metroid or F zero but come on, nobody want a franchise that have game every year.

Even main Mario or Zelda games get 1 or 2 games per console.

> they keep milking everything if is a hit and when everyone is sick of it they bury down.
That's precisely what Nintendo does, except the "bury down" part, since they never bury the milked shit like MarioParty, MarioTennis, etc

And your 1 or 2 Zelda games per console rule doesn't apply anymore, since the WiiU is the first ever nintendo homeconsole to not have a Zelda game of its own, and Metroid is on a 2 generational absence now, so is Fzero now that I think about it.

If the 3DS metroid and pikmin games aren't milking those franchises, I don't know what is. Nintendo is the absolute master of milking via spin-offs.
Jesus, the AC:AmiiboFestival game just came to mind, end me.

The absolute majority of the games you listed arent made by Sony you fucktard.

Neither were most of Project Rainfall's games, yet Nintendo was fucking over their USA market by being stubborn.

Sony, even if through their inaction, at least does nothing harmful, unlike Nintendo.
Just look at Nintendo's horrible localization policies, which they also pressure outside localization teams to do the same, as we now know. Censoring _literaly_ every japanese game with a humanoid on it and adding a couple of memes for good measure.
Once again, by doing nothing Sony is automaticaly superior. They don't stop localizations nor to they pressure everyone to keep games PG - you only need to look at Witch&theHundredKnight which is rated T and includes naked fully 3D rendered breasts, niplpes and all, sexual inuendo, forced attempts at rape, constant profanity, general nude-ish characters, fetishes, forced anal insertion, etc. This game would have been BLASTED with bleach to keep it clean in the west if it was a Nintendo game

some screenshots from the T-rated Witch game. I'm not including bare nipples because people here have been banned for it.

Kat x Raven never

>when people thought this game was actually going to be on the vita

loving every laugh

Kat adn Raven scissoring each other

Imagine Kat sucking the penis of Spike from Ape Escape hah

Omega Boost
Patapon
MediEvil
Soul Sacrifice
Jeanne D'arc
Jumping Flash
Wild Arms

All owned by Sony too

is this game good?

Post link to nips.

Odin sphere and twewy(for its time) sold pretty goddamn well

Mix between Disgaea characters/interactions and Diablo in gameplay/loot, but more simple and with a per-dungeon time management mechanic added.

I _think_ it's on discount right now for under 20€.

It's pic ralated's nips. Look harder because I don't have the screenshot saved.
