It's Tekken's time to shine

Fighting games are doing okay. But it will be the best out there, at least for me.

NRS sells pretty well from what I hear but SFV didn't even hit Capcoms magical 2 million mark

Say my name.

>dial-a-juggle
>saving anything
I mean, sure, I hope it does well for the fans. But let's not pretend like it's going to draw in a large audience that wasn't there already.

Killer Bitchstink

Get this garbage outta here and you go with it.

No blazblue will.

Beat it, kid.

Capcom always gives there games absurd sales predictions. Sfv is doing fine.

Killer "20 entrants at evo" Instinct

...

Honestly I don't see the appeal of this game whatsoever. It's mechanics are just so bizarrely stupid to me. I guess I admire its desire to be unique, on some level, but it's just so not for me.

Eh, 2 million isn't that absurd for one of the most iconic series in fighting games.

Maybe if they finally removed the arbitrary special move inputs

...

Is this bait? There's literally nothing arbitrary about them. If you weren't a genuine shitter, who wants everything to be handed to them without patience or practice, you'd see the poetic genius behind these inputs.

Honestly, they're really not difficult. Maybe you should just play Smash?

GG player detected

It already saved fighting games in the Arcade, first traditional fighter with online play in Arcades which has made the investment good for non-major arcades a good choice for the first time in many years.

Most of the Tekken cast have the easiest inputs in the genre and a fucking huge input buffer to boot.

no im not those people are stupid

Is this a flashback or is he about to throw another kid off a cliff.

Doubt it. Fighting games are still doing pretty fine. Sup Forums just likes to blow everything out of proportion.

However it will be an incredible fighting game.

The Mishimas do love a good cliff toss but it is indeed a trip back in time. Can't you tell by the hair that's a young Kazuya?

Tekken's too complicated to retain a casual audience.

My first Tekken was 2 so I rooted for Heihachi initially. Then I learned the truth. Kazuya did nuffin wrong.

Isn't Tekken the highest selling fighting game ever or something?

At an intermediate to high level, yes but for scrubs Tekken is very mash-friendly.

That's the beauty of Tekken though.

I'm on my phone so didn't see the image clearly at first. Also I remember him looking young again in tag tournament 2. I keep forgetting that not meant to be canon.

'no'

Tekken 7 changes a lot of that, the massive wakeup changes mean that nobody can put an idiot who always holds back while in the air into a constant loop of backroll pickups, they can still do angle-specific jump-over setups but obviously they can only do one unless they get an abnormally perfect angle.
Power Crushes, while not as good as they seemed initially, can still just be thrown out to get some random hits in and most of them aren't very punishable as opposed to red moves in Revolution which were all launchable.
Honestly this is probably the easiest Tekken to get into since pre-4.

Not to mention they brought backwalking over from TR and sped it up a little, so you don't look like such a scrub when you freeze up and hold back.

You still do

4.99 a character XD

...

h--h-hahahah

Killer Shitstink is better

>20 bucks for 1 season
>over 3 years

you CAN come up with 60 dollars over 3 years, can't you user?

Yes and for the reason guy under you said.
This.

Oh and I forgot, people who are beating on scrubs get hit by Rage Art quite a lot, because they don't give a shit about taking the damage when they know they can win anyway.

uhhh probably no.
But it could become pretty popular if things go right.

No.

It's just another fighting game, the only thing it might save is Tekken.

Tekken 3 was I think

The series as a whole is the highest selling fighting game franchise.

I'm gonna sell you, on the house :^)

did akoomer save tekken?

I don't get it, why did Tekken need saving? Thought it was doing fine.

Although I don't really know anything about Tekken.

Nope.
Turns out he's pretty meh.

Tekken doesn't need saving, fighting games in general do.

no but it will be easier for SF faggots to try the game out

superior

Pretty meh? There's been nothing but hype surrounding him and people genuinely seem to live playing him

Turns out he's not that great in the context of the game.
The only thing he's got going for him is his divekick and it becomes predictable real quick.

Are you fucking kidding me? He's considered S tier, even after the nerfs they gave him. Stop posting.

He's not S Tier but he's still like A/A+ and can still dish out 80% combos.

Where the fuck have you been?
He's mid tier all around. S tier are Hwo and Steve you dipshit.

avoidingthepuddle.com/news/2016/9/6/tekken-7-fated-retribution-tier-lists-from-japanese-players.html

You need to stop posting.

no because it will have 8 FRAMES of lag

Did you even think before you posted this?

Lmao, he's definitely not mid tier and no one has put him there

He's not top tier. he's not raking well in the high tier either.
upper-mid tier. Still mid tier regardless.

I highly doubt it'll make a huge splash.

As of now I only intend to play it because I can actually play Tekken decently. I'm not that impressed with the game itself.

Which is only 2 more than the last games.

It's not 5v5 and you can't blame someone else for your loss, so no.

All I know is that I'm starting to feel done with SFV now. Every match feels the same. I can't differentiate between the matches. There are little exciting moments. Even in tournaments, it's the same shit repeated over and over again.

If Tekken 7 doesn't deliver, then I'll just stick to Fightcade.

Tekken 7.0 already delivers and FR is even better.

Grimdark rock paper scissors

SFV is homogenized garbage, KoFXIV is much more fun to play and I'm looking forward to T7. Can't wait to play muh boi King.

Yes, I feel the same. SFV feels very limited compared to SFIV.

Are they going to show shit off at TGS? Maybe new character reveal?

no, only psychic force 3 can save us

Hopefully dis boi

Obviously, the M Raven update is coming out on TGS' opening day so they can announce the next update at the event.

What do you mean by "limited"? I'm not seeing people FADC and back stepping to win every time in SF5. SF4 was a limiting game.

Apparently there's a new mode coming with M. Raven too. Some sort of item battle mode or something. Sounds fun.

It's just orb stealing, you get an orb and play people (as normal) to steal their orbs, then use them somehow to get custom item drops.
Virtua Fighter 4 had a similar system.

Oh, that sounds incredibly underwhelming.

In the context of people playing online at the Arcade all night even the smallest change to how you get items can feel quite significant.

>mk and injustice for casuals

Crawl in a hole and cease to breathe, negro

>"only Mexicans play it"
>Japan plays it frequently
>As do China
>South America
>Played a decent amount in the US but it's probably gonna die there desu

Only bad thing about KOF is the graphics, netcode was a problem but they fixed that shit.

It's only going to get shit on and ignored once again, unfortunately.

comes out in 10 days lads

That was VF im pretty sure

Can you play as Young Kazuya in this game?

No Eliza No Buy

Nope, they just made the card and customization features first, which made it the first game to require an online connection, but still didn't have online play.

As long as lag exists all fighting games will be shit.

Why is that large man fighting a child?

They want to be sure they are accurately representing Tekken's fanbase.

I can't wait for T8 so he's gone
